Chapter 548: Unexpected Separation

Zhou Shixun was kicked by Sheng An Ning and turned to look at Sheng An Ning with some confusion.

Sheng An Ning couldn't say anything in front of so many people, so she smiled at him and said, "It's okay, finish eating quickly, and take Zhou Zhou and the others to take a shower later. I'll stay with Chao Yang for a while."

Zhou Shixun nodded. His thoughts were relatively simple. Zhou Chaoyang didn't know today that Lu Changfeng was leaving, and he insisted on getting married even though he knew he was leaving. He should have anticipated this result in advance, so he shouldn't be too sad.

The matter was settled. Zhong Wenqing couldn't do anything about it no matter how upset he was. Chaoyang would feel even worse if he talked about it too much. He could only sigh in his heart: "Let's eat. I'll ask Auntie to cook all the salted eggs at home and bring them to Changfeng tomorrow."

Zhou Chaoyang uttered an "oh" and lowered his head to eat the noodles, only to find that the noodles in his mouth were no longer fragrant.

After dinner, Sheng Anning accompanied Zhou Chaoyang to the service center in the hospital. She planned to buy some things for Lu Changfeng.

Zhou Chaoyang got married without any experience in dating. Before they could even spend time together, the man suddenly left. So she had no experience in buying things for men.

Holding Sheng An Ning's arm, he asked her for advice: "Sister-in-law, what do you think I should buy for Lu Changfeng?"

Sheng An Ning still understood a little: "Change of clothes and daily necessities are fine, but other things are definitely not allowed. I guess you are not allowed to bring them. Otherwise, why don't you buy some ** for Lu Changfeng."

Zhou Chaoyang's face instantly turned red, and he looked at Sheng Anning coquettishly: "Sister-in-law! You are making fun of me again."

Sheng An Ning suppressed her smile and said seriously: "How can I be teasing you? What I said is true. Think about it, when he wears the underwear you bought, will it be easy for him to think of you?"

Zhou Chaoyang thought about it and felt that what his sister-in-law said made sense.

Finally, I listened to Sheng An Ning's advice and bought three packs of **, as well as some soap and perfumed soap, and would give them to Lu Changfeng when I sent him off tomorrow morning.

What Zhou Chaoyang didn't expect was that the family members she thought were seeing them off were actually arranging a time for the couple to say a few words.

She didn't sleep well all night, tossing and turning, thinking about what to say to Lu Changfeng.

As a result, I found out the next morning when I saw them off that there was a special waiting area for family members. All the family members who were seeing them off stood there, watching their loved ones leave in the car. They were told that they had no chance to give anything and they didn't even have time to say a word.

Zhou Chaoyang looked at the dozen or so military trucks on the playground. All the personnel had changed into uniforms and were getting on the trucks in an orderly manner.

Lu Changfeng was the last one to get on the car and sat in the last jeep.

In my ears is the sound of gongs and drums being beaten during farewell.

Zhou Chaoyang stared at the car that Lu Changfeng was sitting in, wondering if he could see her. She was always stubborn, and she couldn't help but tear up.

Other family members whispered in my ears: "Is the war about to start?"

"I heard that many people have been replaced."

"But they are not part of the combat forces."

"I don't know. I just hope they come back soon. My daughter-in-law hasn't finished her confinement yet."

Zhou Chaoyang felt inexplicably distressed as she waited for the vehicle to slowly drive out of the compound. In the flying dust, she couldn't see clearly the car that Lu Changfeng was sitting in.

Until the playground returned to silence, the crowd around slowly dispersed.

Zhou Chaoyang lowered his head and walked back listlessly.

As soon as he arrived at the gate, he met Song Xiuyan who was carrying a briefcase. Song Xiuyan was obviously a little puzzled when he saw Zhou Chaoyang, but he quickly realized why she was here.

Zhou Chaoyang glared at Song Xiuyan angrily: "What's the use? I don't have the desire to be an official."

Song Xiuyan laughed: "I'm not trying to comfort you. You are a girl, how come you can't even tell the difference between good and bad words now?"

Zhou Chaoyang sniffed: "Your leaders here are not humane at all. Watching you from afar, is that still a farewell? At least let me say a few words."

Song Xiuyan knew this: "With you guys crying like this, I thought you were sending your loved ones to the battlefield and they would never come back. How could I dare to let you meet? The morale that I worked so hard to boost has been destroyed by your crying. After all, people are made of flesh and blood, and they will be reluctant to let go."

"Besides, Lu Changfeng is not going to the front line, so you don't have to worry. And he is very capable, he will definitely come back safely and go back to work."

Zhou Chaoyang snorted: "Then I'll leave first."

After taking two steps, he turned around and looked at Song Xiuyan: "Song Xiaosan, thank you."

Song Xiuyan laughed: "Isn't your thank you too simple? You have to treat me to a meal at least."

Zhou Chaoyang shook his head directly: "That won't work. I'm married now and I have to avoid suspicion."

Song Xiuyan hissed, still wondering in his heart whether he had opened the wedding gift he gave to Lu Changfeng.

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but snort and laugh: "You are really heartless, get out of here."

Zhou Chaoyang didn't fight back, mainly because he was not in the mood. He turned around and left.

Song Xiuyan looked at the place for a while, shook his head and went in helplessly.

When Sheng An Ning heard that Zhou Chaoyang didn't even get to see Lu Changfeng, she didn't say anything for a long time. Finally, she cursed in Chinese and hugged Zhou Chaoyang distressedly: "What's going on? How could this happen? It's better for us not to see it."

Although Zhou Chaoyang felt bad, he could understand: "It's better not to see each other. I'll miss you more after seeing you. Some people went to see him off, and some carried their children with them. She said she made shoes and insoles for the man overnight, but she couldn't send them off. Do you think she felt even sadder?"

Sheng An Ning sighed, remembering that she seemed to have seen a similar report before, where a woman carried her child to send her husband off to war.

But she never waited for her husband to return safely.

This horrible thought flashed through her mind, and she was so scared that she shook her head: "It's okay, Lu Changfeng and the others will come back safely."

Zhou Chaoyang showed a smile that was uglier than crying: "Don't worry, sister-in-law, I will only be sad for a while, and I will be fine tomorrow."

Just as Zhou Chaoyang said, after a night's sleep, Zhou Chaoyang seemed as if nothing had happened. He woke up in the morning and started to make the three children cry.

He happily hugged Zhong Wenqing and asked what he wanted to eat in the morning.

Zhong Wenqing patted the back of her hand and said, "You, you wake up early and just want to eat. You don't have to go to work today, so why don't you sleep in?"

Zhou Chaoyang hugged Zhong Wenqing's shoulders and laughed: "I just wanted to get up early to accompany you. Mom, I see that you look much better recently. I have time these two days, so I will accompany you to the hospital for a checkup."
