Chapter 30: Just Waiting for the Fish to Take the Bait

Jian Yixue's face flushed even more, looking as if it were about to bleed. She said shyly and angrily, "Be careful in broad daylight, or I'll really get angry."

Seeing Jian Yixue's furious state, Ye Mohan stopped teasing her and whispered in her ear.

"Alright, I'll listen to you, Madam. I won't say anything more."

After embracing for a while, Jian Yixue urged Ye Mohan to get up, since they were still at the old house and the old man was still there.

"Mo Han, get up quickly, or Grandpa will misunderstand."

"What misunderstanding?" Ye Mohan asked deliberately.

Jane rolled her eyes at him and said reproachfully, "You know perfectly well why you're asking this. Hurry up and answer me."

If he hadn't been naked, she would definitely have gotten up first.

Although she had seen him last night, she still felt a little embarrassed to see him in broad daylight, so she urged him to get up first.

Looking at the girl in front of him, who was both embarrassed and angry, Ye Mohan saw that it was getting late and stopped teasing her. He got up and went to the bathroom to wash up.

"Phew~~~"

Seeing Ye Mohan leave, Jian Yixue breathed a sigh of relief, quickly got up and changed her clothes, afraid that he might suddenly come back.

Before long, the two headed to the restaurant together. On the way, Jian Yixue suddenly remembered the food issue they had discussed the night before. She glanced around and, not seeing anyone else, asked, "What are you planning to do about the food issue we discussed last night?"

Ye Mohan continued walking, holding Jian Yixue's hand: "Everything has been arranged, we're just waiting for the fish to take the bait."

Jian Yixue nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

At the dining table.

Ye Mohan said to Jian Yixue, "I'm going to the company later. Do you need me to take you home first?"

Jian Yixue thought for a moment and shook her head: "No need, I'll stay here and keep Grandpa company."

Going back would mean being alone at home anyway, but here she could take care of her grandfather for him, and when she had nothing to do, she could go back to her room and use her spatial abilities to study medical techniques.

Seeing her say that, Ye Mohan didn't say anything, just nodded: "Okay, call me anytime if anything happens. I'll be back after get off work."

Jian Yixue smiled knowingly, "Don't worry, I'm not a child anymore, I can take care of myself."

Ye Mohan smiled and said, "Yes, you're not a child, you're my woman."

Upon hearing this, Jian Yixue glared at Ye Mohan, then glanced around. Luckily, no servants were around, otherwise she would have wanted to disappear into the ground in embarrassment.

After Ye Mohan finished eating, he got up and left. Jian Yixue escorted him to the entrance of the old house, where Lin Yi was already waiting by the car.

Ye Mohan looked at Jian Yixue beside him, "I'm leaving first."

"Okay, be careful on the road."

After watching Ye Mohan leave her sight, Jian Yixue slowly got up and returned to the old house.

Seeing that he had nothing else to do, he decided to go and see the old man and take his pulse.

When they arrived at the old man's door, they found it open, so Jian Yixue went inside.

"Snow Girl, you've come."

Grandpa Ye, who was sitting on the bed reading a book, looked up when he heard the noise and saw Jian Yixue, wearing a white Peter Pan collar dress and with her long black hair flowing down, walk in.

"Grandpa, how are you feeling today?" Jian Yixue asked obediently as she walked to the bedside.

"Much better, thank you for your hard work!"

“Grandpa, you’re being too formal. You’re Mo Han’s grandpa, so you’re my grandpa too. It’s only right that I take care of you. Hold out your hand, let me take your pulse.”

Seeing this, Grandpa Ye extended his hand to Jian Yixue, smiling kindly and gently: "Grandpa was wrong, Xue'er, please don't take offense."

"How could that be?" Jian Yixue replied and then focused on taking the old man's pulse before letting go. "Grandpa, there's nothing seriously wrong with your body. We're just waiting for Zhou Yuxuan's toxin analysis results. I'm researching how to formulate an antidote. Don't worry, I will cure your illness."

When Grandpa Ye heard Jian Yixue's words again, his initial disbelief that she could cure the disease wavered, and he couldn't help but ask, "Can she really cure it?"

In fact, Old Master Ye knew that his life had been given an ultimatum, but suddenly someone told him time and time again that his illness could be cured, like a ray of sunlight shining in the darkness, making him unable to look away, and he wanted to grasp this lifeline.

Jian Yixue nodded seriously: "Yes, you are like this because of the effects of chronic toxins on your body. I can only confirm my guess after Zhou Yuxuan's toxin analysis results come out, so that I can prepare an antidote for you."

"Don't worry about your depleted body. I've written a recipe and medicinal diet. If you follow it, I guarantee you'll be back to normal and able to walk briskly again in less than a year."

Upon hearing this, Old Master Ye was overjoyed. Anyone would be thrilled to be told that they originally didn't have much time left, but could now recover completely.

The butler, who had just entered, was also overjoyed upon hearing this and quickly came up to ask, "Young Madam, is what you're saying true? Can the Master really recover?"

The master had shown him great kindness; when he was down on his luck, the master took him in and gave him a new life.

He was very worried when he saw the master faint yesterday. Later, when he heard that he had been poisoned, he hated himself even more for his incompetence, that he couldn't even take care of the master and that the evildoers had succeeded.

Now, upon hearing that the master could return to normal, he was overjoyed.

Looking at the two excited elderly people in front of her, Jian Yixue said with utmost seriousness, "Yes, you can. Trust me."

Butler Jin quickly expressed his gratitude: "Thank you, young mistress. If you ever need anything in the future, as long as it's within my power, I, Jin, will definitely do my best to help!"

Jian Yixue did not refuse and nodded.

She's just come back, so this favor might actually come in handy in the future.

When Jian Yixue saw the food on the plate in his hand, she knew that Ye Mohan had given him the recipe, and she couldn't help but feel happy.

Seeing this, she turned to say goodbye to the old man: "Grandpa, I'll go back to my room first. Sometimes you can just have Butler Jin call me."

Back in her room, Jian Yixue lay down on the bed and pretended to sleep, but in reality, her consciousness had already entered the jade pendant's space.

"Master, you finally remembered me."

You can only hear their voices but not see them.

Jian Yixue looked around for the source of the voice, when suddenly, a white object flew towards her in front of her with a whoosh, and she caught it with lightning speed.

Luckily they caught him, otherwise he might have been disfigured.

Jian Yixue muttered to herself.

She stroked its snow-white fur and said with a faint smile, "I'm here now, come inside with me and let's read some books."

The little dog looked helpless. It hates reading, but it would reluctantly take a look for its owner's sake.

Holding the adorable rabbit-shaped baby, she slowly walked into the Muxue Pavilion, sat down on the floor by the desk, and began to study the previous owner's masterpiece—acupuncture, which was also what she urgently needed to study at the moment.

A woman and a rabbit. The woman was methodically flipping through books, while the white rabbit, which had been dozing on the corner of the desk, was leisurely leaning against the desk, creating a beautiful picture of tranquility.
