Chapter 137 Future Brother-in-Law Arrives

Starting from the second year of junior high, Han Shiping and Guo Mingli began visiting relatives. Every year, Han Yunqi refused to go with his parents and instead visited the homes of several childhood friends. One of his best friends, Li Shuai, got married early. His wife was his childhood sweetheart from elementary school. The two started dating in junior high, held a wedding banquet when they were 20, got married because she was pregnant, and only got their marriage certificate last year.

Han Yunqi's first stop was Li Shuai's house. He gave his three-year-old son a big red envelope and, while playing with the chubby boy, couldn't help but imagine what his and Tang Xiaoxiao's future baby would look like. He was sure the baby would be cuter than the little chubby boy in front of him.

The other friends were not yet married and lived with their parents. He didn't plan to visit them, as there were many formalities to observe with elders present, which he found quite annoying. So, he called everyone from Li Shuai's house and arranged to go out for drinks that evening.

While his schedule was packed, Tang Xiaoxiao was having a very leisurely time.

The Tang family has a small population, barely enough to fill a handful. Even if you include their two cats and one dog, they are still less than half the size of the Han family.

With fewer members, there's naturally less need to prepare so many things for the New Year, and even fewer social obligations.

The Tang family had a warm and comfortable New Year.

Apart from He Zhan's visit on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, everything was the same as in previous years.

Because the Tang family spent the New Year at Tang Xiaoxiao's villa this year, when He Zhan visited on the second day of the Lunar New Year, he didn't go to his future father-in-law's house, but to his sister-in-law's.

That was a bit awkward.

However, those were minor matters. When Tang Xiaoxiao moved, He Zhan was present and met with Tang's parents. Not long after, he visited again without any discomfort. After all, He Zhan was a businessman who had seen many big occasions. He was very courteous, handled everything with ease and sincerity, and Tang's parents were very satisfied.

How could I not be satisfied? My eldest daughter's second marriage has found such a high-quality partner; if word got out, our relatives and friends would be green with envy. Although he's also divorced, men and women are different after all. Despite the constant calls for gender equality in society, discrimination against women in certain aspects has never lessened throughout history.

Tang Xinxin is clearly beautiful and has a great figure. She is independent and strong, manages all the household chores, and is also shrewd and eloquent in business.

But because she was divorced, it seemed that she had an indelible stain on her reputation. Over the years, none of the men who wanted to marry her, whether openly or secretly, were presentable. They were either ugly and poor old bachelors who couldn't find a wife at their age, or mediocre men who had been married twice or even three times, had children, and didn't have any great abilities.

Tang's parents shared the same opinion as Tang Xinxin: she could survive on her own with Xuanxuan, so why should she hire a loser to be her free babysitter?

That's the logic, and Tang's parents have been comforting themselves with this for many years, but in reality, they still hope that their daughter can find someone she can entrust her life to.

Even when you get old, you'll still have a companion.

Tang's mother had been uneasy because He Zhan's conditions were too good, fearing that he was unreliable, but after meeting him in person, her doubts gradually faded away.

Having lived most of their lives, the elderly couple could clearly see whether a person was loyal or treacherous.
