Chapter Thirty-Two: New Ideas and New Friends

Upon hearing this, both of them felt somewhat embarrassed.

He Haisheng shouted, "Grandpa, are you kidding me? Is she older than me? She should be called 'Auntie' or 'Little Sister' instead."

"Nonsense!" The old man grabbed his cane as if to hit him: "Xiaoxiao treats your uncle as an equal, what are you calling 'Auntie' if not 'Auntie'?"

He Haisheng remained silent, his neck stiff. Tang Xiaoxiao quickly tried to smooth things over: "Grandpa, I'm really not that much older than him. It's just a title. Xiaosheng, right? You can just call me by my name."

He Haisheng seemed to want to retort, but under the old man's fierce glare, he ultimately didn't dare to call out the words "sister." Tang Xiaoxiao didn't want to continue the awkwardness either. After briefly inquiring about the old man's health, she changed the subject and said to Gao Yong, who was standing to the side, "Master, shall we go?"

Gao Yong nodded, and the two walked towards the activity room. He Haisheng asked with a curious look, "What are they going to do?"

Grandpa He said, "Xiaoxiao is learning martial arts from Ah Yong, and she comes over every few days."

Upon hearing this, He Haisheng became interested and chased after him.

As soon as Tang Xiaoxiao entered the room, He Haisheng followed closely behind, his eyes shining as he asked Tang Xiaoxiao, "How long have you been learning from Uncle Yong? How are your skills? Let's have a match?"

Tang Xiaoxiao glanced at the simpleton in front of her. He seemed completely unaware that there was anything wrong with a grown man challenging a delicate girl like her. His face was full of the simple excitement of meeting a worthy opponent.

Gao Yong stood to the side with his hands on his hips, clearly not wanting to interfere, but his gaze toward He Haisheng revealed a hint of pity.

Seeing Gao Yong's attitude, Tang Xiaoxiao readily agreed: "Okay, let's go."

"I'll be more accommodating to you, don't be afraid." He Haisheng, a straight man, finally realized that the other person was a girl and said something to comfort her.

However, Tang Xiaoxiao didn't need his concessions. After the two started sparring, Tang Xiaoxiao controlled her strength and led her opponent to parry her moves. He Haisheng had also been taught by Gao Yong, and the two had many similarities in their moves. However, He Haisheng tended to be more open and aggressive, while Tang Xiaoxiao was, after all, a girl. When Gao Yong was instructing her, he eliminated some moves that were not suitable for girls. The two had different styles.

After a dozen or so rounds, Tang Xiaoxiao figured out her opponent's strength. She struck her opponent's waist with a back elbow, then grabbed his arm. He Haisheng struggled for a moment but couldn't break free. Tang Xiaoxiao then threw him over her shoulder.

He Haisheng lay on his back on the ground, panting heavily, unable to speak for a long time, and was simply questioning his existence.

He had been practicing martial arts with Gao Yong since he was a teenager, and half a year ago, his uncle sent him to the army for training. He rarely lost when sparring with his comrades in the army, but today he was knocked out by a girl.

Gao Yong, standing to the side, couldn't resist adding a sarcastic remark: "It seems you've really neglected your practice these past six months. Starting tomorrow, you'll double your training with me."

He Haisheng jumped up suddenly, saying incredulously, "It's not that I've neglected my practice, I'm clearly stronger than before! It's just that she's too abnormal, what girl has that much strength? Even when you hit me, it didn't hurt this much!"

Gao Yong didn't even bother to glance at him, turning to Tang Xiaoxiao to begin today's training. He Haisheng calmed down and didn't go out either, joining in the training.

By the end of today's training, He Haisheng had gone from initial shock to numbness, gaining a deeper understanding of Tang Xiaoxiao's extraordinary strength.

Touching the huge sandbag hanging in the training room, He Haisheng secretly admired himself from a few hours earlier.

How dare someone of my own flesh and blood challenge the Great Demon King? I'm truly overestimating myself!

He Haisheng was a typical straight man. He had no reaction to Tang Xiaoxiao's stunning beauty, but after witnessing her fighting prowess, he instantly switched to fanboy mode, following Tang Xiaoxiao around like a puppy, asking her incessantly how old she was, where she lived, and asking her to hang out together sometime, which annoyed Tang Xiaoxiao to no end.

She could tell that the boy was simple-minded, so she wasn't angry. However, she couldn't stand his constant chatter. After leaving him her contact information, she left the He family almost impatiently, almost as if she were fleeing in panic.
