Chapter Seventy-Five: Cat People

Surprisingly, two rather large gray-white cats were squatting by the pool.

Hearing the footsteps of the crowd, the two cats, who had been staring intently at the fish swimming in the pool, turned their heads. Their two almost identical emerald green cat eyes blinked, and then they meowed twice. In the blink of an eye, two gray-white figures flashed and darted to Tang Xiaoxiao's feet, rubbing their little heads against her legs.

These two cats are naturally Xiao Xiao and Qi Qi.

In just a few months, the two little guys grew rapidly, now reaching over a meter in length. Their long fur made them look somewhat like the valuable Maine Coon cats of later generations, but with some differences. Tang Xiaoxiao took them to a pet store, but they couldn't identify the breed. They were certain they weren't purebreds, just a rare long-haired variety of Chinese domestic cat. However, the two little guys were quite remarkable, their appearance was no less than that of purebred cats. In addition, they were well-fed and well-housed by Tang Xiaoxiao, becoming plump and strong yet exceptionally agile. When the two cats sat still, they exuded a noble air, truly the aloof and unapproachable aristocrats of the feline world.

Except in front of her master, Tang Xiaoxiao, she couldn't maintain her aloof demeanor and would break down in a second.

A few days ago, Tang Xiaoxiao went to the pet market in City A. After returning, she claimed that she had bought the two little guys and released them from her spatial storage to keep by her side. They could understand many of Tang Xiaoxiao's words, and Tang Xiaoxiao could also perceive the meaning behind their cries in her mind, so there was no need to worry about them causing any damage.

Even the koi fish in the pond, which are extremely tempting to cats, were only admired by the two little guys without them reaching out their paws.

Unaware of the hidden secrets, the group of burly men were instantly captivated by the sight of these two adorable, affectionate creatures. These privileged young men were used to all sorts of things, from luxurious villas and greenhouses to pets—all commonplace in their daily lives. But Tang Xiaoxiao's place was different! Her flowers bloomed better than anyone else's, her fish were more lively, and even her cats were more obedient and affectionate.

Upon hearing Tang Xiaoxiao say "Come on up," one of the two cats nimbly climbed onto her shoulder and then obediently squatted down, wagging its tail slowly. The other cat accurately jumped onto her outstretched arm, curled up in her arms, and closed its eyes contentedly.

Tang Xiaoxiao was holding Xiaoxiao in her arms. He Haisheng reached out to touch its back, but before he could even touch it, Xiaoxiao, who had been very relaxed, suddenly opened its eyes, bared its little sharp teeth, and scratched him with its paw.

He Haisheng narrowly avoided the attack and took two steps back, yelling, "What! I can't even touch it! Boss, your cat is so fierce!"

Tang Xiaoxiao reached out to comfort Xiaoxiao, then rolled her eyes at him without a hint of guilt and said, "Haven't you heard that pets follow their owners? You dare to grope my cat?"

He Haisheng was speechless.

The people around him burst into laughter. After the laughter subsided, someone remarked, "You really know how to enjoy life. Compared to that, the games we used to play were just child's play."

These people also live in mansions, but they are not designed entirely according to their own wishes, unlike Tang Xiaoxiao's place, where every corner is designed to serve the owner's enjoyment. For example, there is an exquisite little pavilion for cooling off in summer and enjoying the snow in winter, a swing chair under a giant tree in the corner, and a drawing board casually placed under a flower stand covered with vines, all exuding exquisiteness and warmth.
