The two little ones nodded in unison.
"Okay, go have fun. Don't do it again."
After seeing the two little ones off, Tang Xiaoxiao went to the living room to look at the potted plants that had suffered. The once clear water had turned into a kaleidoscope of colors, with clumps of paint adhering to the glassware. She didn't bother to clean it up, but instead chose to let the plants grow and see what the final result would be, so that the two children would remember this lesson.
Verbal admonitions are never as memorable as witnessing serious consequences firsthand.
When Han Yunqi came home that evening, she told him about it. Neither of them should miss a single moment of their children's growth.
A few days later, the once vibrant potted plants visibly wilted, looking lifeless.
Nao Nao felt extremely guilty, and Tang Xiaoxiao took the opportunity to teach this unruly little girl a good lesson.
However, one of the basins was an exception. Not only did it show no signs of decay, but the originally murky water also returned to its original clear state.
This unusual situation quickly caught Tang Xiaoxiao's attention. After carefully inquiring and confirming that no one had changed the water in the potted plant, she examined it closely and discovered that the plant, which she didn't know what it was, was not a common variety on the market, and she didn't even recognize it.
After thinking for a moment, Tang Xiaoxiao remembered that it was a plant that grew next to the lake in the space, which she picked because she thought it looked nice.
After moving, she needed some life in the house, so she transplanted some flowers from her spatial storage and planted them in empty flowerpots she had bought. The strange plant in front of her was one of them.
This unidentified plant looks somewhat like a type of lucky bamboo commonly found in flower markets, with segmented sections, yet it differs from lucky bamboo in that it is not green, but rather an eerie pinkish-purple, with shorter and larger leaves and a thicker main stem, giving it a somewhat endearing appearance. It is a species native to this space, and Tang Xiaoxiao couldn't find out what it was in reality.
Because she liked its appearance, she moved one of them to her home.
Now, the other aquatic plants have lost their vitality due to pigment pollution, but this one is not only unharmed, but it has also made the originally turbid water clear.
Tang Xiaoxiao dared not be careless, so she went to the lakeside in the space again. There were many of these plants there. Some were rooted in the moist soil by the lake, while others grew in the shallow water. She pulled out a few plants and returned to her room. She found a glass jar and put them in, filling it with water. Originally, she used water from the lake in the space to grow flowers, but this time she simply filled it with tap water directly from the faucet.
Then she moved the glass jar into her and Han Yunqi's bedroom and squeezed a lot of paint into it, including watercolors, oil paints, and two bottles of ink.
They poured it all in at once.
After doing all this, Tang Xiaoxiao hid the glass jar on top of the wardrobe, afraid that the two children would see it.
If the two little ones saw her doing this, it would probably shatter their worldview.
However, when Han Yunqi returned that evening, he still found the tank of unidentified objects. At first, he thought it was just the two little ones being naughty again, but when he asked, he found out that it was Tang Xiaoxiao who had done it herself.
Tang Xiaoxiao didn't explain in detail to him, only saying that she was conducting an experiment. Han Yunqi just assumed she had some sudden idea and didn't take it seriously.
