She had originally planned to commit suicide by drinking the pesticide she had brought in front of her parents' graves. This mountain was the burial ground for many of the local villagers' deceased relatives, and it was usually sparsely populated; she thought that dying quietly there wouldn't cause trouble for anyone. If she was lucky, a kind person might find her and even collect her body.
Even if no one cares about her... she doesn't care anymore.
But unexpectedly, just as she arrived at the grave, preparing to say a few words to her parents below before going down to join them, a huge black shadow suddenly slapped the bottle of pesticide out of her hand. Immediately afterwards, a huge hairy monster appeared and, after she fell, pressed a claw on her shoulder to stop her from moving.
Things happened so fast that her mind went completely blank for a moment, and she couldn't think of anything.
At this moment, Tang Xiaoxiao arrived, and Tiger Girl and Black Panther ran to her side one after the other, obediently squatting on either side of her and wagging their tails. Tang Xiaoxiao patted the two big dogs' heads and praised them, which earned them excited barks.
It wasn't until they barked that Sun Zhaodi realized the two enormous creatures were actually dogs.
Tang Xiaoxiao picked up the bottle from the ground. Without even opening it, she could roughly guess what was inside. She looked at Sun Zhaodi, who was still lying on the ground, with a complicated expression, and asked, "Are you alright? Can you get up? Don't be afraid, they won't hurt you."
Sun Zhaodi's lips moved as if she wanted to speak, but in the end she didn't make a sound. She just used one hand to support herself on the ground and tried to stand up. Perhaps because she was too frightened just now, she was completely exhausted and her legs were weak for a moment.
Tang Xiaoxiao stepped forward to help her up, and when she touched her thin, bony arm under her clothes, she sighed inwardly and lifted her up slightly with a little force.
After finally regaining her footing, Sun Zhaodi managed to squeeze out a "thank you" with some difficulty. Tang Xiaoxiao was worried about her going back to the Sun family alone in her condition, and she was also concerned about her two children and Han Yunqi at home. She didn't know how anxious he would be if she ran away like this. The children were sleeping and she couldn't call him. After thinking it over, she gritted her teeth and said, "Come with me first."
Without waiting for Sun Zhaodi's objection, he grabbed her arm and led her down the mountain, stumbling along.
Sun Zhaodi didn't struggle. Perhaps she was too frightened to react, or perhaps Tang Xiaoxiao's interference dispelled her original will to die.
If it's the latter, then that would be even better.
Tang Xiaoxiao thought to herself.
They ran all the way here and it didn't take long, but it would take them more than half an hour to walk back. Tang Xiaoxiao was worried that Han Yunqi would get anxious waiting. He couldn't understand what Tiger Girl and Black Panther were saying, so she couldn't ask them to go back and report. It might backfire and make Han Yunqi think that the two dogs ran back because something had happened to her.
After thinking for a moment, he took out his phone and typed a message. He didn't send it directly because he was afraid the other person would miss it and not see it in time. He put the phone into the black panther's mouth, indicating that it should take it back and give it to Han Yunqi.
After the black leopard ran away in a flash, she led Sun Zhaodi back step by step, with Tiger Girl swishing her big tail beside them.
Although Tang Xiaoxiao said the two dogs wouldn't hurt anyone, and she had personally witnessed how well-behaved and obedient they were in front of Tang Xiaoxiao, Sun Zhaodi's heart rate hadn't slowed down the whole way because Tiger Girl's huge body was so close by.
