Chapter Eleven: Buying a Car

The days fly by in a flurry of activity, and before we know it, winter is almost here.

During this time, the road she had built for the village was completed, and Tang Xiaoxiao also completed several flower transactions, which made her financial situation much easier. She made full use of the remaining land at the foot of the mountain, built more than a dozen greenhouses, and hired people to grow a lot of vegetables and fruits. People had gone from being completely skeptical of her doing agriculture on such barren land to being somewhat doubtful.

After all, it's a fact that Tang Xiaoxiao is good at growing flowers and has made a lot of money.

The weather was sunny that day. Tang Xiaoxiao was wearing a camel-colored light trench coat, tight jeans that hugged her slender and straight legs, and a pair of flat Martin boots. She looked capable and cool.

Holding her father's arm, the father and daughter went out in high spirits.

Tang's mother declined the invitation to go out because she had made plans to play mahjong with her old friends.

In the months since Tang Xiaoxiao was reborn, she has been secretly adding space water to her family's meals every now and then. She can't tell from her parents' appearance whether there are any changes in their health, but it is obvious that their energy and spirit have improved a lot. Their complexion is rosy, and they can walk for two hours without getting red or out of breath. Their white hair is also showing a decreasing trend.

Tang Xiaoxiao has always been worried about her parents' health. She has already made an appointment for a physical examination at the First Hospital of City A in half a month, and plans to take her parents for a full-body check-up.

As for today, Tang Xiaoxiao is going to pick up a car for herself.

She used to always drive her father's car, which wasn't the style she liked, and it was also quite old. Her father bought it when Tang Xiaoxiao was in her third year of junior high school, and it's been almost ten years now.

The father and daughter took a taxi to the largest car dealership in City A. Without needing any introductions, Tang Xiaoxiao went straight to a certain brand's 4S store. In her previous life, she had always loved SUVs, but unfortunately, she was short of money back then. Now that she had a little money, she could finally set her sights on her dream car.

Tang Xiaoxiao had her eye on the brand's new model, which was released just last year. It had a fiery red paint job, a domineering exterior with smooth and beautiful body lines, and a spacious and comfortable interior. Tang Xiaoxiao had long arms and legs, so driving such a large car was effortless for her.

After a short test drive, Tang Xiaoxiao fell in love with the car. In her eyes, the only downside was its high fuel consumption. Tang's father couldn't understand his daughter's taste and couldn't understand why such a delicate girl would insist on driving such a flamboyant car. However, his opinions were completely disregarded by his daughter's coaxing.

Under Tang Xiaoxiao's persistent encouragement and coaxing, he gritted his teeth and bought himself a new car, choosing a black sedan of the same brand. It wasn't expensive, worth a little over 200,000 yuan.

The two didn't want any special models, and the colors were all in stock. The two cars, plus all the fees, cost 930,000 yuan. Mr. Tang didn't show it on his face, but he was trembling inside. He had never been so extravagant in his life. His daughter made money quickly, but she squandered it even faster!

Tang Xiaoxiao was unaware of her father's inner complaints about his daughter. After readily swiping her card, the father and daughter drove off in their newly purchased cars amidst the envious gazes of the sales staff.

Almost no man doesn't love cars. Although Mr. Tang is not young, he has a very youthful mindset. After getting a new car, especially since it was a gift from his daughter, Mr. Tang did not choose to drive it directly home. Instead, he drove onto the ring expressway and drove at 120 miles per hour to have a good time.

Seeing her father so happy, Tang Xiaoxiao naturally followed closely behind. The father and daughter raced for nearly an hour before reluctantly exiting the highway.

The good news of buying a new car was naturally meant to be shared with her sister. Tang Xiaoxiao could have bought a car for Tang Xinxin as well, but she didn't. Buying small trinkets was fine; close sisters didn't need to be so particular. But giving a car was a different matter. She didn't want gossip to affect their family relationship.

The saying goes, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Tang Xinxin believed that she would rather earn what she wanted with her own hands than simply give money or things to someone.

Her online store, which used Tang Xinxin's products, is gradually doing well. Online sales are even better than in the physical store. Although online prices are relatively lower, there are no high operating costs such as rent and utilities, so the monthly income of the online store still exceeds that of the physical store. Tang Xinxin has almost completely taken over the management of the online store and hired two young girls as customer service representatives. Tang Xiaoxiao no longer interferes in anything except for occasionally working as a free model for photoshoots.

At first, when she handed the online store over to Tang Xinxin, Tang Xinxin was unwilling to accept it. It was Tang Xiaoxiao who stated that Tang Xinxin's ID card was used when the store was registered, and that the store should rightfully belong to her. Tang Xiaoxiao also said that she had many other things to do and did not have time to manage the clothing business. In the end, Tang Xinxin reluctantly took over, but still insisted on giving her half of the profits every month.

Tang Xiaoxiao didn't refuse again. Tang Xinxin had her own pride and principles; doing too much would be counterproductive. Anyway, the money had been transferred, and whether she used it or not was another matter. She'd just consider it saving it for her sister; Xuanxuan would need money for her future studies.

Tang Xinxin is currently extremely busy. With business booming, she naturally has less free time. When Tang Xiaoxiao and her father arrived at the store, there was only one employee greeting customers outside. Tang Xinxin and two other customer service staff were busy filling out forms and packing in a small cubicle, which was a mess.

Tang Xiaoxiao pushed open the door and saw her sister covered in sweat. She frowned and said, "Shouldn't you expand this place? It's too crowded."

Tang Xinxin raised her hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead. "Yes, I've already thought about it. The shoe store next door doesn't want to renew its lease next month. I'm hesitating whether to rent the store next door as well or just move to another place."

"Well, think about it yourself." Tang Xiaoxiao didn't offer much of an opinion. Tang Xinxin had been in this industry for many years and had her own perspective and ideas.

"Dad is still outside. The shop is full of young girls, so he didn't come in."

"What brings you two here together?" Tang Xinxin asked casually, putting down the clothes she had packed and walking out.

"You'll see when you go out and take a look." Tang Xiaoxiao followed behind with a smile. Tang Xinxin ignored her and walked a few steps to the door. She saw Tang's father leaning against a black car and smoking in the marked parking area on the roadside not far away.

"Dad, why are you smoking again?" Tang Xinxin exclaimed in dissatisfaction, quickly stepping forward as if to snatch the cigarette from her father's hand. Her father quickly dodged, took two deep drags, and then stubbed out the cigarette.
