This is unusual.
Zhong Yan pondered to herself, wondering if she had set a trap for herself, just waiting for her to walk right into it! The more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
As a result, I became much more vigilant!
Sure enough, a problem arose ahead. A long-absent figure stood there, baring his teeth at Zhong Yan, looking like he was about to fight her to the death.
Zhong Yan's heart skipped a beat: "A weasel?!"
The weasel sneered, "Zhong Yan, you have a good memory! You still remember me! I thought you had completely forgotten about me."
Zhong Yan had a bad feeling. Had he switched sides again? Thinking about what she had said to him last time, she felt a headache coming on.
"Weasel, how could I forget you? We've worked together before."
"Cooperation?" The weasel's voice suddenly turned sharp: "Zhong Yan, your so-called cooperation is sending me and my disciples and followers to our deaths!"
"How could that be? I clearly sent you to take revenge." Zhong Yan's eyes flickered slightly as she said, "See, you've misunderstood me!"
"Enough with the nonsense, give me your life!" The weasel had clearly been trained; it didn't waste any words with her and charged straight at her! This woman was incredibly cunning; with just a few words, she could trick him into doing whatever she wanted.
This is not a good thing!
Zhong Yan smiled on the outside, but cursed inwardly.
If she finds out who's plotting against her, she'll fight those bastards to the death! No, actually the enemy behind this is pretty obvious. Who else could it be but that bastard Wu Sandao?
"You weasel, calm down! What kind of spell has Wu Sandao cast on you to make you risk your life to come here and cause trouble!"
"What Wu Sandao?!" The weasel was stunned, clearly not understanding her meaning at all, and then became angry: "You still want to lie to me! Zhong Yan, you are a liar."
"What did I lie to you about!" Zhong Yan was puzzled. Something was wrong. Why did he act like he didn't know Wu Sandao at all? To put it bluntly, shouldn't the people from the Celestial Masters Sect be his enemies?
Just as I was wondering, Bai Xi gave me a cold hint.
"He's been bewitched! Now, in his mind, you are his only enemy."
"Is this even possible?" Zhong Yan was dumbfounded. She wanted to fight her to the death, but the weasel seemed to have a cheat code, with all sorts of tricks coming out one after another.
"Zhong Yan, I told you, you're weak!" Bai Xi mocked without restraint, unable to hide her schadenfreude: "Come on, beg me! If you beg me, maybe I can help you."
"Do you think I care?!" Zhong Yan was very angry. She knew she should back down, but she just couldn't get over it! Especially when she talked to her like that, it was really infuriating.
Bai Xi snorted, looking quite dissatisfied. Although she had agreed to help, it wasn't unconditional! Just like before, she only needed a push at a crucial moment to save her life.
As for anything else, don't even think about it!
As the claws swept across, a bloody gash quickly appeared on Zhong Yan's slender neck, making her look incredibly disheveled. More importantly, a wisp of black smoke emerged from the wound, accompanied by a burning pain, much like when Wu Sandao had injured her before! This realization caused her eyes to change slightly, and her bad premonition intensified.
