Chapter 91 Intending to Use a Honey Trap

Betrayed by his wife, he watched as he was taken to the hospital, and as she discussed with others what to do next, how to seize his property, and how to mistreat his son.

Zhao Cui never imagined that ghosts and gods truly existed in this world, especially when someone she used to spend every day suddenly appeared before her in a different way. It would be a lie to say she wasn't guilty.

Originally husband and wife, they became bitter enemies.

"Grandma Zhong, help! Help!"

"Su Bohai, let her go."

"Impossible, Grandma Zhong, this has nothing to do with you. Leave now, and I'll pretend nothing happened." Su Bohai said sharply, his grip tightening until she was powerless to fight back.

Zhong Qin sighed, turned her fist into a palm, and struck out: "Stop now, and I promise I can give you justice."

Su Bohai was caught off guard by her sudden attack. Losing all reason, he roared and charged at her with all his might. In an instant, the atmosphere inside the room changed drastically.

Bai Zhixuan was stunned for a moment, then quickly rushed over and blocked her way.

puff!

Zhong Qin couldn't dodge in time and could only throw her aside. She took the blow head-on, and black energy swirled around her wound, entangling her. She staggered back a few steps and fell to the ground.

Bai Zhixuan was at a loss, staring blankly at her: "Grandma, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

Zhong Yan glared at her fiercely. She was certain that Bai Zhixuan had done it on purpose. If it weren't for her, how could Grandma have failed to dodge that attack?

He quickly helped his grandmother to the side and stood in front of her.

Bai Zhixuan feigned fear, shrinking to one side, and said insincerely, "Zhong Yan, move aside. You haven't learned ghost-catching techniques, but I know a little bit about them."

"Get out of here."

"Zhong Yan, I really didn't mean to..."

"Are you sure you want to stand here?" Zhong Yan said softly, each word distinct. "He's coming up again. If you think you can handle it, then go ahead."

"I... Ah..." Bai Zhixuan stumbled and fell straight down, as if someone had pushed her from behind. Zhong Yan took a step to the side, making no attempt to hide her disdain.

"Bai Zhixuan, you're not planning to use your beauty to catch ghosts every time, are you?"

"Zhong Yan!" Bai Zhixuan was furious. She had ruined her plans time and time again. What was she up to? Looking at Zhong Qin, she realized that she had just saved her, yet Zhong Qin's gaze was still fixed on Zhong Yan.

It was as if I was transparent in front of her.

Zhong Qin looked at Zhong Yan with worry. Su Bohai had lost his mind and pounced on her again, but she didn't know how to dodge, as if she was scared out of her wits.

She braced herself and was about to pounce.

Bai Zhixuan snapped out of her daze and subtly clung to her, saying, "Grandma, you have to be careful. You're not the same as when you were young. What will we do if something happens to you?"

Zhong Qin frowned and quickly pushed her away, then heard a scream from ahead.

"Zhong Yan!"

"Grandma, I'm fine." Zhong Yan smiled slightly, her expression natural, showing no signs of injury. "Grandma, I'm the heir of the Zhong family, after all. I won't let you down."

"Grandma knows." Zhong Qin's eyes welled up with tears. Seeing her like this was like seeing her own daughter in front of her. No, perhaps, Zhong Yan was even more outstanding than Zhong Jing.
