Chapter 138 Making a Rabbit's Den.

"You rest for a while, I'll go reinforce that iron cage and make it bigger."

Lu Yu knew his wife liked keeping small animals, so of course he wanted to behave well.

"I'm not sleepy."

Jiang Yue shook her head.

Lu Yu brought over some wire.

The old iron cage was enlarged several times over.

Let alone raising two rabbits, nowadays you can easily raise ten rabbits.

After the cage was repaired, Lu Yu nailed a few more wooden planks around it to keep out the wind and rain. The rabbits wouldn't get cold or wet at night.

"Wife, shall I build another rabbit hutch in a few days?"

Hearing Lu Yu's words, Jiang Yue shook her head.

"That's good," Jiang Yue said with a smile. "Let's put two more feeding troughs here. One for water and one for food."

Jiang Yue talked about the precautions for raising rabbits.

Hearing Jiang Yue's words, Lu Yu said.

"I've written it down."

Jiang Yue was taken aback by his words. She actually meant to tell him that rabbits shouldn't be fed just anything, otherwise they could easily develop health problems. She didn't mean for him to feed them.

"Did you see all of this in a book?"

The bookshelves at home are already full of books. Two rows are his books, and the other rows are books his wife bought. All the books have been organized and arranged by category.

"Um."

"My wife is amazing."

Lu Yu's bright eyes were full of smiles.

Jiang Yue was no longer as shy as before, and she looked back at Lu Yu.

The two stared at each other for a long while.

Lu Yu looked at the two rabbits and said with a smile.

"I'll get them some food."

He cleared all the weeds from the corner of the wall. Lu Yu walked towards the outside of the yard. There was a lot of weeds in the yard across the street, and in no time, he had pulled up quite a bit of grass.

Lu Yu threw all the grass into the cage.

The two rabbits huddled in the corner, too afraid to move.

Lu Yu found two more iron boxes, threaded wire through them, and tied them together.

"From now on, we'll use them to hold water and food."

"Um."

Jiang Yue looked at the rabbit hutch that Lu Yu had made and praised it.

"Lu Yu, you are really amazing."

When Lu Yu heard Jiang Yue's words, he stared at her intently, his expression showing a hint of pride.

"Aren't there any other rewards?"

Other rewards? What kind of rewards does he want?

Jiang Yue looked at Lu Yu with some confusion.

Lu Yu pointed to his face.

Jiang Yue's face immediately turned red.

It turns out, this was the reward he wanted.

Jiang Yue quickly kissed him on the cheek.

The smile on Lu Yu's lips already revealed his feelings.

"It's cold outside, let's go inside."

Lu Yu reached out his hand, ready to take Jiang Yue's hand.

He then remembered that he had gotten his hands dirty while handling the rabbit cage, so he withdrew his hands.

Jiang Yue reached out and took his hand.

His hands are covered in dirt, so what happened?

He wanted to shake hands, so they shook hands, and he could wash himself clean later.

Seeing Jiang Yue's smiling face, Lu Yu's smile deepened. The two held hands and walked into the house.

Little Black wagged its tail and followed them inside.

Upon arriving in the kitchen, Lu Yu first took a basin, poured in some hot water, then added some cold water. After testing the water temperature, he spoke.

"Wife, come and wash your hands."

Jiang Yue walked over and washed her hands in the basin.

Actually, her hands weren't dirty at all.

When Lu Yu saw Jiang Yue finish washing her hands, he also washed his hands in the basin. Afterwards, he poured out the water and washed his hands directly under the tap.
