"Mom, calm down," Lu Jie said, trying to soothe her mother.
The more Lu's mother talked, the angrier she became; she couldn't calm down at all.
"She went back to the capital, but instead of going home immediately, she went to the Jiang family first. There wasn't a soul in sight at night. Does Jiang Yue still care about the Lu family, her husband's family? Your grandmother praised Jiang Yue in every way, saying she was the best in the world."
After eating, Jiang Yue was no longer sleepy.
She was sitting on the sofa, now lying down, covered with a thin blanket, her gaze fixed on Lu Yu beside her.
"You're not allowed to bother me tonight. Otherwise, you'll be sleeping in the living room for the next few days."
Hearing his wife's words, Lu Yu smiled and held her foot.
He deliberately reached out and pinched her foot; Jiang Yue, being ticklish, immediately withdrew her foot.
Did you hear that?
"I heard you."
Jiang Yue thought Lu Yu had agreed, and nodded in satisfaction.
She couldn't sleep, so she decided to sit up and continue working.
After working for another two hours, I saw that it was already midnight.
Jiang Yue then packed her things and went into the room.
Lu Yu was already fast asleep in his room.
Jiang Yue carefully stepped over him and got to the inside.
She had just lain down and hadn't even had time to cover herself with the blanket when Lu Yu hugged her.
"You're still awake?"
Jiang Yue turned her head and looked at Lu Yu.
Lu Yu's eyes were clear; he didn't look like he had been woken up at all.
"I can't sleep without my wife."
Jiang Yue gave him a disgruntled look.
Lu Yu patted Jiang Yue on the back and said with a smile.
I won't bother you tonight.
Jiang Yue glanced at him suspiciously. Ever since the wedding, whenever he was home, except on special occasions, he always wanted to be close to her. She was skeptical of his words today.
Jiang Yue was indeed a little tired at this moment, so she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
When she woke up, it was already broad daylight.
I checked the time; it was already past nine in the morning.
Jiang Yue smelled the fragrance.
She got dressed and walked out of the room; the living room was wonderfully warm.
Lu Yu was sitting on the sofa reading a book.
"woke up?"
Lu Yu smiled and looked at Jiang Yue.
There were two dishes and a soup on the stove, along with two bowls of rice.
After breakfast, Jiang Yue asked about going to the Lu family's old house.
"I called my grandma."
Jiang Yue hummed in agreement and walked toward the next room.
"Let's pick some things to take with us."
Jiang Yue looked at Lu Yu. "Take one of yesterday's copies and send it over?"
"good."
Jiang Yue took the things out, and Lu Yu carried them into the car.
After packing, Jiang Yue came out. Lu Yu straightened the scarf for Jiang Yue.
When Grandma Lu heard the car, she immediately went outside.
Lu's mother and Lu Lujie arrived early and were waiting in the courtyard.
Aunt Qian quickly followed.
Grandma Lu smiled and called out as she saw the car drive in.
"Bao'er is here."
Jiang Yue opened the car door, ran towards Grandma Lu, and hugged her.
"grandmother."
"Oh my!" Grandma Lu beamed, "Let Grandma see, you've lost weight..."
Hearing what Grandma Lu said, Jiang Yue tugged at Grandma Lu's sleeve and said.
"I haven't lost weight, I've actually gained two pounds."
Grandma Lu and Jiang Yue were chatting happily when Lu Yu and Aunt Qian took the things out of the car.
Jiang Yue wanted to help, but Grandma Lu stopped her.
"Let Yu go. Men should do more work."
Jiang Yue pursed her lips and nodded obediently.
"I'll listen to Grandma."
Grandma Lu was overjoyed to see her granddaughter-in-law's obedient appearance.
