After Jiang Yue woke up, she went out of her room and saw her mother stewing chicken in the kitchen, while Lu Yu was cutting potato shreds in the living room.
Jiang Yue loves hot and sour shredded potatoes, but her shredded potatoes don't taste as good as Grandma Jiang's. Jiang's mother, however, learned a trick from Grandma Jiang.
"Get up, hurry up and brush your teeth and wash your face."
After the meal, Jiang Yue asked about her mother's return to Beijing.
"Mom, have you bought your tickets?"
"I've bought the plane tickets."
If it weren't for visiting her daughter, Jiang's mother wouldn't have been willing to buy a plane ticket.
She usually travels by train when she goes on business trips.
Upon hearing that it was a plane ticket, Jiang Yue didn't ask any further questions.
Time flies, and a few days have passed. It was time for Mother Jiang to return to the capital.
Jiang Yue took her mother to the airport in a car.
Airports today are much more dilapidated than they will be decades later.
Gu Pan hugged her mother.
"Mom, I will miss you."
"I'll miss you too." Jiang's mother released Jiang Yue, her eyes filled with tears. "After I'm done with this busy period, if I have time, I'll come to see you again."
Actually, Jiang's mother wanted her daughter to return to Beijing. Having family members take care of her would put their minds at ease.
However, the daughter did not agree.
Lu Yu drove his car, preparing to take his wife back to her family compound.
"Lu Yu, I want to go see the little villa."
Hearing his wife's words, Lu Yu drove Jiang Yue to the small villa.
The gate to the villa was locked. After Gu Pan got out of the car, she opened the gate, and Lu Yu drove the car inside.
"Lu Yu, look at this little villa, isn't it beautiful?"
Hearing his wife's words, Lu Yu nodded with a smile.
"It looks great."
All the broken glass has been installed.
Not only that, the yard has also been cleaned up, and the weeds and other wild plants that used to grow there have been cleared away.
Some of the flowers in the yard have also bloomed by now.
Jiang Yue opened the door and went inside.

"This house doesn't need any renovation; you can move in right away with your bags."

Jiang Yue led Lu Yu into the room.
We went to Grandma Zhang's room first.
The room was filled with mahogany furniture, and the bed sheets and blankets had all been replaced with new ones.
"If Grandma and the others come, they will definitely like this house."
Jiang Yue was referring to her two grandmothers; both Grandma Jiang and Grandma Lu had previously said they wanted to visit her. Jiang Yue was also worried that they might just come directly to her.
Staying in a guesthouse is certainly not as good as staying at home.
Jiang Yue bought this house because she felt that this small villa was indeed excellent.
After viewing the house, Jiang Yue and Lu Yu walked out and were about to drive away when Old Lady Xie arrived again with her entourage.
"Hmph," Old Lady Xie warned Jiang Yue.
"If you know what's good for you, go back to Old Lady Zhang and get your money back, or you'll be in big trouble."
Hearing Old Lady Xie's threat, Jiang Yue sneered.
"Who do you think you are? A member of the royal family? I bought the house, so it's mine. You keep causing trouble, get out."
Upon hearing Jiang Yue tell her to get out, Old Lady Xie angrily started cursing back.
