After dinner, Jiang Yue went upstairs to rest.
She fell asleep shortly afterward.
She had another dream, in which many people were exchanging fire, and explosions were happening all around her. Lu Yu was in the middle of the explosions.
"Lu Yu".
Jiang Yue woke up with a start and shouted loudly.
"Bao'er".
Lu Xiaogu hurriedly called out to Jiang Yue.
Upon hearing Lu Xiaogu's voice, Jiang Yue looked at Lu Xiaogu and spoke.
"Aunt, you're hiding something from me."
She used an affirmative sentence.
"Bao'er, your aunt really has nothing to hide from you." Aunt Lu smiled gently and said softly. "Did you have another nightmare? Dreams are the opposite of reality, don't be afraid, Yu'er will be alright."
Jiang Yue stared intently at Lu Xiaogu.
"Auntie, you're lying to me."
Hearing Jiang Yue's words, Lu Xiaogu smiled and said.
"Baby, why would your aunt lie to you? We just can't get in touch with Yu'er. He'll definitely call you back once he gets a signal..."
"Call Lu Yu."
“Bao’er, your aunt hasn’t been able to contact Yu’er directly.”
Jiang Yue got up and walked towards the door.
Seeing that Jiang Yue's expression was rather unpleasant, Lu Xiaogu became even more anxious.
"Bao'er".
Jiang Yue looked at Fang Yuan outside the door and walked downstairs.
Fang Yuan quickly went in front of Jiang Yue, standing only a step or two away from her.
After Jiang Yue went downstairs, she went to the phone and called Mr. Lu directly.
Mr. Lu's call was supposed to be transferred, but after a while, no one answered.
Jiang Yue tried calling several more times, but no one answered.
Jiang Yue was undeterred and dialed a few more times. Still, no one answered.
Her mood worsened.
Jiang Yue called her father again, but the call was quickly transferred, and a voice came from the other end.
"Hello."
Hearing that the voice sounded unfamiliar, Jiang Yue spoke up.
"I'm looking for my dad."
"You must be Yue'er. I'm the commander's bodyguard. He's gone to the grassroots units. I'll pass this message on to him when he returns..."
Hearing this, Jiang Yue hummed in response, thanked him, and hung up the phone.
Jiang Yue was on the phone with her mother again.
As a result, no one answered the phone at Mom's place.
Her mood worsened.
Why is no one answering the phone today?
"Bao'er".
Grandma Jiang's voice rang out, and she walked towards Jiang Yue.
Jiang Yue lowered her head and remained silent.
Grandma Jiang reached out and held Jiang Yue's hand, comforting her.
"Bao'er, don't worry, Grandma knows you're anxious. Yu'er and the others are on a mission, so it's normal to not be able to contact them for a long time. Your brother and the others are like that when they're on missions..."
Hearing her grandmother's words, Jiang Yue felt even more annoyed.
“I know you don’t need to tell me all this. I just want to know if he’s okay, and I want to call him.”
Jiang Yue's tone was somewhat sharp; she was having trouble controlling her emotions.
"Grandma, I just want to know if he's alright. I want to see him."
"Okay, okay, Grandma will have Grandpa contact them again and have Yu'er call you."
Seeing that Jiang Yue was in a bad mood, Grandma Jiang quickly comforted her.
Grandma Lu also quickly comforted Jiang Yue.
"Yes, yes, let Grandpa Lu call too, and have him call you back."
Hearing their words, Jiang Yue's suspicions grew even stronger.
They seem to be hiding something from me.
As Jiang Yue recalled the scenes from her dream, she immediately looked at her grandmothers.
"Something happened to Lu Yu?"
She looked at them, her expression somewhat anxious.
