Chapter 1026 Visiting Relatives
After having a great time in the city for a few days, Zhou Ziwen prepared to take the two sisters and Yueyue to Hangzhou.
Since Yueyue was born, she has not seen her grandparents.
He planned to take them to Hangzhou to see Yueyue's grandmother first, and then go to the farm where his father-in-law lived to let Yueyue see her grandfather.
In this day and age, you need a letter of introduction to travel far away. Fortunately, with Uncle Zhou around, the letter of introduction is not a problem.
Early in the morning, Zhou Ziwen set out with his two sisters and Yueyue, carrying a lot of bags.
Zhou Ziwen brought his family to the train station, where the crowd was bustling and in a hurry.
He carried the luggage, Chen Qiaoyi held the child carefully, and Chen Shiying followed closely behind her sister, taking care of little Yueyue.
After finding the waiting room, little Yueyue looked around curiously, laughing from time to time, attracting friendly glances from the passengers around her.
After getting on the train, Zhou Ziwen put the luggage in place and placed Yueyue in a window seat so that she could see the scenery outside.
The train slowly started to move. Little Yueyue excitedly leaned against the window, her little face pressed against the glass, her eyes wide open, watching the scenery outside the window constantly receding, and kept saying, "The train is running, running!"
Chen Qiaoyi sat aside, looking at Yueyue tenderly, explaining to her what was happening outside the window from time to time.
Chen Shiying took out some snacks and distributed them to everyone.
Along the way, little Yueyue's laughter added a lot of joy to the journey.
She would play with the small toys in her hands for a while, and then pester Zhou Ziwen to tell her stories.
Zhou Ziwen then told her a fairy tale softly. Little Yueyue listened attentively, looking at Zhou Ziwen without blinking, her little hands tightly grasping the corner of his clothes.
After arriving in Hangzhou and getting off the train, Zhou Ziwen called a tricycle and took his family to Chen's house.
Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying were extremely excited. They had been away from home for a long time and were finally going to see their mother.
Little Yueyue also seemed to feel this atmosphere and sat obediently in Zhou Ziwen's arms, not acting naughty as usual.
When they arrived at the yard where the Chen family lived, Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying couldn't wait to jump out of the car and ran towards home.
Zhou Ziwen was holding little Yueyue and following behind with a lot of luggage. As soon as he reached the door, he heard surprised shouts coming from the house.
The mother, her two daughters, hugged each other and cried, their tears filled with longing and concern.
Little Yueyue looked at her grandmother, her eyes full of curiosity. She called out in a baby voice, "Grandma."
When Mother Chen heard Xiao Yueyue's voice, she noticed Zhou Ziwen and Xiao Yueyue. She quickly reached out and hugged Xiao Yueyue in her arms, kissing her again and again, saying, "Oh, my dear granddaughter, you are so cute."
After entering the house, Aunt Chen was busy asking everyone to sit down and brought out various delicious snacks.
Little Yueyue sat in her grandmother's arms and started eating without any hesitation, with her mouth full of food. Her cute look made everyone laugh.
Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying sat next to their mother and told her about every little thing that happened after going to the countryside, from the hard work to the warm family life. As their mother listened, she sometimes frowned and sometimes smiled with satisfaction.
Zhou Ziwen listened quietly and watched this scene, his heart filled with warmth.
He knew that the two sisters had always missed their mother, and this reunion was of great significance to them.
Mother Chen looked at Zhou Ziwen from time to time, her eyes full of gratitude. She said to Zhou Ziwen, "Ziwen, thanks to you for taking care of Qiaoyi and Shiying, their lives in the countryside are not so hard."
Zhou Ziwen quickly stood up and said respectfully, "Mom, this is what I should do. Qiaoyi and Shiying have worked very hard too. We support each other, and our lives are getting better and better."
In the next few days, Zhou Ziwen accompanied the two sisters and Yueyue to travel in Hangzhou.
They went to West Lake, where the water was sparkling and willows swayed on the shore.
Little Yueyue was running around the lake, chasing butterflies, and Zhou Ziwen followed closely behind, fearing that she would fall.
Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying walked hand in hand by the lake, enjoying this rare leisure time.
They also visited some famous places of interest. Although Yueyue didn't understand much, she was attracted by the ancient buildings and beautiful scenery, and kept asking questions.
The days in Hangzhou flew by, and soon it was time to visit his father-in-law. Zhou Ziwen packed his bags and, along with his two sisters and Yueyue, set off again. They took a train, then a bus, and finally arrived in a small town near his father-in-law's farm.
In the small town, Zhou Ziwen found a hotel for everyone to rest for a night.
The next day, they rented a carriage and headed to the farm.
The carriage bumped along the bumpy road, but Yueyue was very excited. She felt that riding in the carriage was as fun as riding a roller coaster.
Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying were a little worried and held Yueyue tightly, fearing that she would be thrown out.
Finally, they arrived at the farm.
Zhou Ziwen asked the farm staff about his father-in-law's residence, and the staff enthusiastically took them there.
When they arrived at his father-in-law's residence, Dad Chen was working in the yard. When he saw them coming, he was stunned at first, and then a surprised smile appeared on his face.
Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying walked up quickly, hugged their father, tears streaming down their faces.
Dad Chen patted their backs gently and comforted them, "Silly children, why are you crying? Daddy is fine, isn't he?"
Little Yueyue broke free from Zhou Ziwen's arms, ran to Father Chen, looked up at him, and said in a baby voice, "Grandpa."
Father Chen squatted down, picked up little Yueyue, and looked at her carefully, his face full of love: "This is my granddaughter, she looks just like Qiaoyi when she was a child."
Zhou Ziwen stepped forward and called out respectfully, "Dad."
Father Chen looked at Zhou Ziwen, nodded, and said, "Ziwen, you're here. Thank you for your hard work along the way."
After entering the house, everyone sat together. Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying told their father about their life in Dabazi Village, including how Zhou Ziwen led everyone to grow mushrooms and improve their lives, as well as the interesting stories of little Yueyue's growth.
Dad Chen listened with great interest and smiled with satisfaction from time to time.
He said to Zhou Ziwen, "Ziwen, you've done a great job. I know a little bit about your work, and you're very capable. I feel relieved to have you taking care of them."
Zhou Ziwen said modestly, "Dad, I will continue to work hard to give them a better life."
In the following days, Zhou Ziwen and his family spent a warm and fulfilling time on the farm.
Dad Chen is very happy to see his daughters and granddaughter, especially seeing little Yueyue growing up healthy and happy, he always has a satisfied smile on his face.
Dad Chen took the family to visit his farm and introduced them to the various crops he grew and the animals he raised.
Little Yueyue found everything new and interesting. She followed her grandfather and asked various questions from time to time, and Dad Chen patiently answered them one by one.
Zhou Ziwen helped Chen's father with farm work. The two talked while working, and their relationship became more harmonious.
