Chapter 1061 Arrival

The train slowly left the platform, and the scenery outside the window switched quickly like a slide show.

The carriage was filled with all kinds of sounds, including people talking and children crying.

Zhou Ziwen's family and friends settled down in their respective bunks.

Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying sat on the lower bunk, gently teasing Xiao Yueyue and Xiao Xuanxuan, trying to calm them down.

Shen Zhaodi and Tang Yaoyao gathered together, chattering to vent their excitement.

Little Yueyue was full of curiosity about everything around her. She crawled around on the bunk, touching this and looking at that.

Zhou Ziwen smiled and held her in his arms, patiently introducing her to the facilities on the train.

Xiao Xuanxuan was in Chen Qiaoyi's arms, his eyes rolling around, looking both excited and a little scared of the new environment.

As time went by, the train entered a stable running phase.

The flight attendants began pushing food carts in the aisles and selling food.

The carriage was filled with the aroma of food, attracting people to gather around.

Zhou Ziwen got up and bought some food and hot water for his family and friends.

Everyone sat together, eating simple food, but they also felt it was exceptionally delicious.

Chen Shiying took out the snacks she had prepared earlier and distributed them to everyone.

She smiled and said, "We made these ourselves, and took them with us to eat on the road, and also let our family members try them."

Everyone tasted the dim sum and praised Chen Shiying's cooking skills.

Tang Yaoyao's mouth was full, and she mumbled, "Sister Shiying, the dim sum you make is so delicious. When I get back, I must learn from you."

Chen Shiying smiled and nodded: "Okay, when we get back, we'll do it together."

After the meal, everyone sat or lay down and began to rest.

Zhou Ziwen leaned against the window, watching the scenery passing by outside, his thoughts drifting back to his home in Beijing.

He remembered the kind faces of his parents and his brothers and sisters, and his heart was filled with warmth.

Xiao Yueyue and Xiao Xuanxuan were tired from playing and gradually fell asleep in their mother's arms.

Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying gently placed them on the bunk and covered them with a quilt.

Zhou Chaoyang and Shen Zhaodi also closed their eyes to conserve their energy.

Tang Yaoyao took out a picture book and began to read it attentively.

The train continued to move forward, passing through fields and mountains.

The scenery along the way is picturesque and refreshing.

Zhou Ziwen would occasionally get up and stretch his body, then continue to sit by the window, enjoying this rare quiet time.

As the train moved forward and got closer to Sijiu City, Zhou Ziwen became more and more excited.

He began to imagine the scene of meeting his family and the joy on his parents' faces when they saw Yueyue and Xuanxuan.

When they were in Penang, Chen Zhaodi and Tang Yaoyao parted ways with them and each embarked on a different journey home.

The train continued to speed, getting closer and closer to the old city.

Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying sat aside, talking quietly, and the topic mostly revolved around their upcoming meeting with Zhou Ziwen's family.

This was not the first time they had gone to Zhou Ziwen's home to celebrate the New Year. They were as familiar with Zhou Ziwen's home as their own.

As the train continued to move forward, the scenery outside the window became more and more familiar.

Zhou Ziwen's heartbeat involuntarily quickened, and the figures of his family kept appearing in his mind.

He remembered the calm face of his eldest brother Zhou Jianhua, the humorous and witty look of his second brother Zhou Guohua, and the lively and lovely appearance of his youngest sister Zhou Min.

He didn't know how they were doing now or if anything had changed.

Considering my age, it’s time for my younger sister to find a partner.

Little Yueyue mumbled a few words in her sleep, turned over, and fell into a deep sleep again.

Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying looked at her cute sleeping face and smiled at each other.

Zhou Chaoyang also woke up, stretched, looked out the window, and said excitedly: "We are almost there, finally getting home."

As the train approached, the atmosphere in the carriage became more lively.

The passengers packed their luggage and prepared to get off the bus. Zhou Ziwen stood up, sorted the luggage, and then helped Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying take care of Xiao Yueyue and Xiao Xuanxuan.

Finally, the train slowly pulled into the railway station in the old city.

Zhou Ziwen took a deep breath, picked up Xiao Xuanxuan, Chen Qiaoyi held Xiao Yueyue's hand, Chen Shiying and Zhou Chaoyang followed behind, and they got off the train together.

The platform was bustling with people, and the exit was filled with people welcoming their relatives and friends.

As soon as Zhou Ziwen and his family stepped out of the carriage, they felt the familiar and friendly lively atmosphere.

Zhou's parents had been waiting at the exit. When Mother Zhou saw her son and daughter-in-law, her eyes instantly became moist. She waved her arms excitedly and shouted, "Ziwen, over here!"

When Zhou Ziwen heard the voice, he walked quickly towards his parents with a happy smile on his face.

"Dad, Mom, we're back!" Zhou Ziwen handed Xiao Xuanxuan to his mother. Mother Zhou hugged her grandson tightly, with a big smile on her face. She kept kissing Xiao Xuanxuan's face and muttered, "My dear grandson, I finally see you." Xiao Xuanxuan was a little overwhelmed by his grandmother's enthusiasm, and looked around curiously with his little eyes.

Father Zhou took the luggage from Zhou Ziwen and patted his shoulder with a smile: "Thank you for your hard work, son."

Then he looked at Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying and said kindly, "Qiaoyi, Shiying, you must be tired too. Go home and have a good rest."

Chen Qiaoyi called mom and dad obediently, Chen Shiying also called uncle and aunt, and Dad and Mom Zhou nodded happily.

Zhou Chaoyang also stepped forward and politely greeted Zhou's parents: "Hello, uncle and aunt."

Zhou's father responded with a smile: "Chaoyang, welcome to our home to play."

"Okay, I'll come to visit you in a few days." Zhou Chaoyang nodded hurriedly.

The family walked out of the train station talking and laughing. On the way, Zhou Ziwen introduced his parents to the life in Dabazi Village, including the bumper harvest of mushroom cultivation and new development projects in the village.

Mr. and Mrs. Zhou listened with great interest, their eyes full of satisfaction and pride.

When I returned home, the familiar environment and atmosphere hit me.

Mother Zhou immediately went to the kitchen to prepare tea and snacks, while Father Zhou and Zhou Ziwen sat in the living room and continued to ask about things in the village.

Chen Qiaoyi and Chen Shiying took Yueyue and Xuanxuan to familiarize themselves with the room.

Xiao Yueyue's memory of this place has become a little vague.

She ran around the room curiously, touching this and looking at that, full of curiosity about this place.

After a while, the neighbors heard the noise and came over to visit.

When the neighbors saw Zhou Ziwen's family, they greeted them warmly and praised Yueyue and Xuanxuan for being adorable.

Little Yueyue hid behind her mother shyly, while little Xuanxuan looked at the neighbors curiously.

Mother Zhou smiled and distributed the local specialties she brought from Dabazi Village to her neighbors. Everyone tasted the specialties and chatted, and the house was filled with laughter.

Zhou Jianhua, Zhou Guohua and Zhou Xiaomei also returned home one after another.

Zhou Jianhua remained calm and reserved. He smiled and hugged Zhou Ziwen, saying, "My dear brother, you're having a good time in the countryside. You've grown stronger."

Zhou Ziwen responded with a smile: "Brother, you are doing well too."

As soon as Zhou Guohua entered the room, he excitedly joked with Zhou Ziwen: "Third brother, you are finally back. I missed you so much."

Then he saw Xiao Yueyue and Xiao Xuanxuan, and immediately walked over, squatted down and teased them: "Wow, these two little guys are so cute, come, let uncle hug them."

Xiao Yueyue and Xiao Xuanxuan were a little shy and hid behind their mother and refused to come out. (End of this chapter)
