Chapter 12 The Willow of Mechanism

"Ms. Liu, please have a seat. Let's get straight to the point; we can communicate directly about any issues."

Director Chai conceded a step.

Liu first took out a handkerchief, wiped it on the chair, and then sat down.

Director Chai's eyes twitched as he watched.

Do all Hong Kong businessmen have this problem?

It's not dirty at all!

"Director Chai," Liu Tiao said haughtily, "what kind of factory are you planning to lend it to?"

"The Honghe Tractor Factory was poorly managed and failed to produce tractors. Currently, it only welds truck beds for farmers in the surrounding area."

Director Chai took a sip of tea and continued, "Currently, the factory has 50 workers, which fully meets your requirements."

"However, it depends on how your partner, Wu Changfeng, performs."

Willow said in a neither humble nor arrogant tone: "I highly admire his abilities. Anything he dares to guarantee, he must be absolutely certain of."

"Oh?" Director Chai raised an eyebrow. "To put it bluntly, he used to be a hoodlum."

Willow nodded approvingly: "Your subject is very correct."

Director Chai was speechless; this woman shared the same line of thinking as Mine Manager Huo.

The past is the past, the present is the present.

Director Chai then asked, "How did you two meet? There aren't many outsiders in our small town."

Willow branches remained silent for a long while, then a mature and charming female voice carried a hint of coldness:

"Director Chai, does the mainland not protect personal privacy? I didn't mean anything by it, I just haven't had time to study the relevant legal documents yet."

How did you meet?

Should I say that this guy has taken a liking to me, a conman, and is going to make a big splash with me?

Willow responded with lightning speed, directly countering the tactics of Hong Kong businessmen that the window city had encountered.

Director Chai coughed a few times: "Alright, I won't inquire about that. I wonder if Ms. Liu would be interested in bypassing Wu Changfeng and cooperating with our mining bureau?"

"The country is now advocating the decentralization of power, removing shackles, and allowing enterprises to become self-reliant and participate in competition. Therefore, our mining bureau has a lot of room to maneuver."

"If we have a good project, wouldn't it be wonderful if we joined forces?"

Liu Tiao was stunned for a moment. No one expected that Director Chai would turn around and poach someone from the other side.

I would like to cooperate with the mining bureau, but the project is in Wu Changfeng's hands.

Willow Branch even wavered slightly, wondering if he should scam some money and run away.

Occupational hazard kicked in, making the willow branches restless.

I felt that Director Chai in front of me was simply the foolish son of a landlord.

However, she quickly calmed down, realizing that lying was a dead end, and warned herself.

Willow said apologetically, "I'm sorry, but I think Wu Changfeng is more likely to succeed."

Director Chai nodded regretfully: "Well, that's a real pity. But I have another question. As the daughter of a Hong Kong businessman, you must have plenty of funds. Why don't you ask the county for land and set up a factory?"

Wu Changfeng had already warned Liu Tiao about this kind of question.

Liu Tiao was also quick to respond: "Director Chai, how many brothers and sisters do you have?"

"Uh..." Director Chai was a little confused, and replied, "I have two older brothers and one younger sister."

"If you want to do something, your parents want to give you all their savings. What will your siblings think?"

Director Chai smiled and said, "My family is very harmonious, so there shouldn't be any problem."

“I’m so envious…” Willow Branch said with a touch of sadness, “I have two older sisters, three older brothers, and four younger brothers.”

"Wow, the family is thriving."

"At the same time, I also have 9 stepmothers."

Director Chai was struck dumb!

This is insane...

No wonder some people say that private lives in Hong Kong and Taiwan are chaotic.

Your dad is amazing! He's got so many wives, he'd be eating peanuts if he lived in mainland China!

Willow continued, “Everyone wants to inherit the family fortune, so the exams come. The children get a share of the money and are all sent out to start their own businesses. Whoever makes the biggest success gets to eat the first bite.”

Director Chai nodded heavily: "I understand. Your family has abundant funds, but your starting capital is not much. If you go too far at once, you will lose everything if the business fails."

Liu Tiao said in a soft, coquettish tone, "Director Chai has a deeper meaning."

"I'll leave aside everything else and just mention a few points."

Liu Tiao had a bit of a headache. She wasn't unfamiliar with officials' speeches, where they would say they would raise a few points.

It would take at least an hour to finish talking about it.

The willow branches listened patiently, letting the words go in one ear and out the other.

Director Chai started by discussing the big picture, then moved on to his personal perspective.

The conversation shifted from the economic situation to the factory's profitability.

He let out a spiral fart, going back and forth.

In summary, there are two main points: one is that Liu Tiao was fully responsible for the workers' wages.

There was no doubt about that; Wu Changfeng had also explained it, and Liu Tiao nodded in agreement.

But on the second point, the willow branch refused to budge.

"Director Chai, I cannot accept your control over employee management."

Do you know what communication costs are?

Director Chai was stumped by the term. He racked his brains and thought, "About the cost of a pack of cigarettes and a few packets of tea?"

Communication has absolutely no cost!

Speaking is a human instinct.

It's not like I'm charged by the word; at most, I'll say I'm hungry and want to eat two big steamed buns.

Where do the costs come from?

Liu Tiao didn't know what communication costs were, but Wu Changfeng had explained it to him, so he just followed the instructions.

"Director Chai, the biggest cost of communication is time. We don't want to waste all our time on meetings, discussions, assigning tasks, listening to reports, and so on."

“I prefer vertical management, rather than having our ideas and practices conveyed through factory leaders.”

"Save time and speed up production. If employees have any problems, they should report them to us. If we have any requirements, we will directly communicate with the employees."
