Chapter 28 Who are you doing the work!

The next day.

Zhang Jianguo's wife kept dozing off at her workplace.

A colleague knitting nearby joked, "Xiao Cui, why do you look so tired? Did you and your husband stay up all night last night?"

"Go to hell!" Xiao Cui punched him. "Yesterday I worked at the tractor factory with my husband and earned 15 yuan. I was exhausted."

"What? 15 yuan? That's a lot!"

Xiao Cui said proudly, "This is nothing. Some people even earned 20 yuan. I can't compare to them. I'm really envious."

"I'm so envious of you now! My husbands can't even earn a penny a day."

"That's why I said I married the right person," Xiao Cui said proudly.

My colleague huffed, "You're just showing off! No way! Let's play cards today and see what goodies are in your lunchbox."

Xiao Cui is generous; who doesn't care about saving face?

Being looked up to by others is something to be happy about.

Xiao Cui opened the lunchbox and found braised pig's head, stir-fried shredded potatoes with pork, and a bowl of mutton soup.

"Wow!" My colleague tossed the sweater aside. "That's so extravagant! I thought you were just bragging, but it seems you really did make money!"

"Would I lie to you?"

"You're so wasteful! Wouldn't it be better to save your money for the New Year?" a colleague said sourly.

Xiao Cui tilted her head back and said, "My boss calculated that we can earn about 800 yuan a month! Is that money just going to sit there and get moldy if we don't eat or drink?"

My colleague nearly fell to the ground, his mouth agape: "Eight, eight hundred yuan? Our factory manager only makes 400 a month, this... this is too much..."

Seeing her colleague's shocked expression, Xiao Cui felt incredibly pleased.

This made him feel incredibly proud, and it really allowed him to steal the spotlight.

Xiao Cui said nonchalantly, "Is eight hundred yuan a lot? I feel it's just so-so."

“I’m really going to bite you to death!” My colleague shook his head: “No way, my wife is also a worker at the mining bureau, I have to transfer to the tractor factory.”

The above scenarios can occur in various corners of Chishui County.

There was even a saying: "If you want to get rich, go to a tractor factory."

The factory is operating smoothly and in an orderly manner.

Workers prepare for a new day of work.

But as soon as they arrived at the factory, Section Chief Liu blocked the workshop entrance and tore off a large red sign.

The letter read: "Studying the spirit of the superior's instructions, blah blah blah..."

The workers initially ignored it, thinking they were too busy making money to bother with such trivial matters.

But Section Chief Liu said in a serious tone, "Stop right there! We must study the spirit of the documents issued by our superiors!"

"And you must study diligently, take notes, and write down your feelings!"

"We are all workers in the tractor factory, we are all workers of the country, we must take this seriously!"

“If I find out that anyone is deceiving their superiors, I, Lao Liu, can’t protect you.”

The workers were so angry their mouths were crooked.

Their status is that of employees of state-owned enterprises, and they must obey the orders of their superiors in general matters.

This is a deeply ingrained concept in their minds.

To keep their jobs, everyone dared not speak out against this position.

One by one, they reluctantly followed Section Chief Liu into the conference room.

Liu Tiao watched anxiously as Section Chief Liu led the workers away. She found Wu Changfeng and said, "Something's wrong! Section Chief Liu has gathered all the workers away, and there's no one left to work."

Wu Changfeng was organizing production data, not even looking up: "Let the bullets fly for a while."

"What?"

"No matter how much trouble Section Chief Liu causes, I've already laid the explosives."

Liu Tiao was dumbfounded, completely baffled as to why Wu Changfeng was so confident and composed.

The air was so thick it seemed to spin in circles.

On the other hand, Section Chief Liu showed no sign of giving any instructions.

It was purely to cause trouble for Wu Changfeng.

He sat there spouting nonsense, uttering the same old rubbish over and over again.

The workers were getting sleepy listening to it.

Wang Yong couldn't hold it in any longer and raised his hand, saying, "Section Chief Liu, I need to go to the toilet."

Section Chief Liu took a sip of tea and lit a cigarette: "Go and come back quickly. We still have many instructions to follow, and we can't afford to miss any."

Wang Yong nodded and left the meeting room.

They turned around and headed to the warehouse.

Go to the toilet that's as dirty as chicken feathers.

Go to hell! If you, Section Chief Liu, really have the spirit of my instructions, then everyone will study them without complaint.

He's been talking for ages, and all he's saying is stuff from a few years ago.

Wang Yong realized what was going on; Section Chief Liu still wanted to fight with Wu Changfeng.

But can you please not drag us into your disputes?

We need to support our families and buy all sorts of supplies, why are you making things so difficult for us?!

Wang Yong went directly to the warehouse, collected the raw materials, and then headed to the workshop.

With the tools laid out, they quickly and efficiently began assembling.

You get paid for each job you do. Wasting time with Section Chief Liu is just a waste of your life!

Inside the meeting room.

Section Chief Liu talked on and on, sometimes discussing national trends, sometimes analyzing the domestic situation.

It was like a press conference.

Without realizing it, Zhang Jianguo sensed that something was wrong.

Even if Wang Yong had diarrhea, he should have been back by now; it's been more than 10 minutes.

He nudged the iron pillar beside him: "Pillar, why hasn't Wang Yong come back yet?"

Tie Zhu exclaimed in surprise, "Holy crap, did this guy fall into a pit?"

"Come on, who's that stupid—wait a minute!" Zhang Jianguo suddenly realized that Wang Yong must have gone to work in the workshop!

Who's stupid?

Everyone there is stupid!

Zhang Jianguo immediately said to Tiezhu, "The factory manager said a few days ago that raw materials are in short supply. Now, whoever has the raw materials will make money, understand?"

Tie Zhu looked a little bewildered: "What do you mean?"

"Do exactly what I say!"
