What happened in Chapter 322?

Wu Changfeng had a feeling that something was wrong.

But I really can't figure out what the problem is.

It was originally agreed that Chang Fenfang and her family would go to the countryside together.

Now Chang Fenfang is all alone.

It wasn't that Wu Changfeng was afraid of any danger, but rather that they were alone together.

It wouldn't be good if someone saw it.

After thinking about it for a while, I decided to forget it. What am I, a grown man, afraid of?

If you are law-abiding and do nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear.

Wu Changfeng went to the county government to pick up the car.

The two left the city and headed straight for the countryside.

Chang Fenfang had never been to her hometown, Wuchangfeng, so she often had to give directions.

Passing by a field, Chang Fenfang pointed out the window and sighed, "My grandfather told me that this place used to belong to my family."

Wu Changfeng was taken aback. "Wow, your family used to be big landowners?"

"That's all in the past. Now all that's left is an old house."

Chang Fenfang's old house is not located in the village.

Instead, it is located far from the village, nestled in a mountain valley.

The house was quite nice back then.

However, it has been neglected for many years and looks somewhat dilapidated.

"Could you carry this for me?"

Chang Fenfang took out paper money and other things from the back of the car.

Wu Changfeng asked, "Offering sacrifices?"

"Yes, otherwise I wouldn't have come back." Chang Fenfang didn't lead Wu Changfeng into the courtyard, but instead turned into the back mountain.

They burned paper money for a long time in front of several graves.

Looking at the numerous graves, Wu Changfeng asked with great interest, "It seems your family used to be quite wealthy. What about the other branches of your family?"

"Those we can contact are on the other side." Chang Fenfang's eyes dimmed slightly.

Wu Changfeng shrugged.

So they ran away.

"Relations between the two sides have been good recently, and applications for family visits have been approved."

Chang Fenfang gave a wry smile: "Let's talk about it when we have the chance. Right now, we only communicate by letter, and we only get one or two letters a year, which is really too slow."

Wu Changfeng sighed and said, "If we need layers of checkpoints, it will naturally be slow. It will be better when we have the internet in the future."

"The internet? What is that?" Chang Fenfang asked, puzzled.

Wu Changfeng thought for a moment and explained, "In my opinion, it should be possible to communicate with the other side on a computer and even see each other. It should also be possible to send text and pictures on a mobile phone... uh, a mobile phone."

Chang Fenfang was completely bewildered.

He'd seen computers before, so it was understandable that this thing could be made possible.

But can a mobile phone send text messages? Isn't that what pagers are for?

That's such a vivid imagination!

I can't figure it out...

Chang Fenfang didn't think much of it and gathered the ashes of the burnt paper together.

After confirming there were no sparks, Chang Fenfang clapped her hands and said, "Let's go to the old house to rest, and then go back."

Wu Changfeng nodded.

To be honest, I've been standing here for quite a while, and my legs are a little numb.

The drive back is quite long, so it's good to take a break.

We entered the old house.

The interior area is quite large.

Chang Fenfang took out a cloth and spread it on the bed: "Sit down for a while, I'll go get some water."

The chairs inside the room had long been smashed, so sitting on the bed was no problem.

A short while later.

Chang Fenfang came in carrying a small water bottle and poured a cup for Wu Changfeng.

"Come."

"Okay." Wu Changfeng was a little thirsty and drank several cups in a row.

After finishing his water, Wu Changfeng asked, "By the way, what do you do at the hospital?"

"To get medicine from the pharmacy."

Do you know anything about first aid?

Chang Fenfang asked in confusion, "Why are you asking this? Of course I know. I used to be a nurse, but my job was reassigned, and I ended up working in the pharmacy."

Wu Changfeng asked happily, "Would you be interested in coming to my factory's clinic?"

"A medical room?" Chang Fenfang asked, "This is a state-owned enterprise facility, do you, a private business owner, need it?"

"Whether we can actually use it or not is another matter," Wu Changfeng said seriously, "but we have to have it; it's a form of welfare."

"Furthermore, if a safety accident occurs in my factory, we can provide timely medical treatment. Your job is very simple: just stay put when there's nothing to do. If something happens, do the initial work and then contact the hospital."

Chang Fenfang laughed: "That simple?"

"Yes, it's that simple."

Chang Fenfang declined: "I'd rather not. My job is pretty good right now. Apart from sometimes having to work shifts, it's all good."

Wu Changfeng shrugged: "Alright then, I won't force you. Maybe another time..."

Thump~~

Before Wu Changfeng could finish speaking, he fainted on the bed.

Chang Fenfang shook Wu Changfeng: "Are you alright? Wake up?"

Wu Changfeng lay unconscious, like a dead pig.

Chang Fenfang took a few deep breaths.

She bit her lip.

I'll hesitate for a moment.

Her face turned red and her ears felt hot.

Her palms felt numb and sweaty.

Looking at Wu Changfeng, he was wavering in his heart.

Finally, she gritted her teeth and began to unbutton her clothes.

Now that you've already done it, what are you waiting for!

...

Chang Fenfang got off the bed, panting.

After tidying up their clothes and cleaning up the surrounding area to make sure there were no problems, they made sure their clothes were in order.

He shook Wu Changfeng awake: "Hey, what's wrong with you?"

Wu Changfeng woke up groggily, shook his head, and said, "I think I fell asleep."

"It must be because the air in the old house was bad, and he was tired from standing for a long time."

Wu Changfeng grunted, "I guess so."

"Let's go back."

Wu Changfeng got out of bed. Apart from feeling a little soreness in his legs, he didn't feel uncomfortable anywhere else.
