Chapter 172: The Light Tower deadlock hopes for a turnaround, and the red envelopes in the world lead to war

Within the mysterious and oppressive Tower of Light, Lin Yu and his companions remained trapped before a barrier shimmering with strange light. Every second of stalemate felt like a hammer hammering down on their hearts. Lin Yu clutched the mysterious key tightly, his knuckles whitening, his gaze piercing, yet his anxiety was barely concealed. "The power of this barrier is unpredictable, and the reaction of the mysterious key is so unpredictable. Are we really going to be trapped here to death?" Lin Yu pondered. As the team leader, he knew that everyone's fate now depended on him, yet the predicament before him was as impenetrable as a solid wall. A sense of powerlessness and self-blame crept through him, and he feared that his poor decision would plunge his companions into an abyss of no return.

Su Yao stood quietly beside Lin Yu. She was keenly aware of Lin Yu's inner torment. Looking at Lin Yu's furrowed brow and exhausted expression, Su Yao's heart ached. "Lin Yu, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Let's work together and we will definitely find a way to break through the barrier." Su Yao comforted softly, trying to ease Lin Yu's anxiety. However, her heart was also filled with uneasiness. She knew that the difficulty of this barrier was far beyond her imagination, and time was passing mercilessly. Su Yao quietly clenched the magic weapon in her hand, her eyes revealing determination, always ready to deal with possible crises, while silently praying for a miracle in her heart.

Xiao Yi grew increasingly restless. He paced back and forth like a trapped animal, his weapon creaking in his grip as if it were an outlet for his frustration. "This shattered barrier, how can it be so stubborn! How can I break through it?" Xiao Yi cursed through gritted teeth, his face filled with impatience and resentment. He had always longed to rise to prominence within the team, to prove his strength, but this barrier had become a stumbling block, repeatedly shattering his confidence. "I will never give up! I will find a way to break through and impress everyone!" Xiao Yi vowed silently, his eyes gleaming with an unyielding glint.

Lu Ming adjusted his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses focused and anxious. He kept circling the barrier, not missing any subtle details, trying to find clues to the solution from the changes in the light. "The frequency, color and flashing rhythm of this light must be hiding the key to unlocking the barrier, but why can't I figure out the secret?" Lu Ming pondered over and over in his mind, his brain working rapidly, trying to piece together the fragmented clues. As time went by, the sense of urgency in his heart became stronger, knowing that if he couldn't find a way to crack it as soon as possible, the team would face a greater crisis. "I can't let everyone down, I must speed up and solve this puzzle!" Lu Ming secretly encouraged himself, his eyes became more determined.

You Qianxue and Bing Ling'er huddled together, their faces pale as paper. The excessive consumption of ice power had left them weak. You Qianxue was filled with self-blame, feeling that her incompetence had dragged down the team. "If my ice power were stronger, perhaps I could have helped Lin Yu and the others, and we wouldn't have fallen into this predicament." You Qianxue's voice trembled, and her eyes revealed despair. Bing Ling'er held her hand tightly and comforted her, "Sister You Qianxue, don't say that. We have tried our best. We will become stronger in the future and help everyone." Bing Ling'er's eyes flashed with determination and encouragement. She understood that in this difficult time, only by supporting each other can we overcome difficulties together.

The man in red stood silently at the rear of the group, his eyes gleaming with determination and resoluteness. He was consumed by guilt and responsibility, his past mistakes a constant reminder to protect them. "No matter how difficult this barrier may be to breach, I will not let them come to harm, even if it costs me my life!" the man in red vowed silently, leaning forward slightly like a towering statue, ready to face any danger that might come.

Far away on the planet Lanmeng, Luo Chen was bewildered by a barrage of system notifications. Ding, ding, ding! Friend requests popped up like snowflakes, all because he'd snatched up a massive red envelope from one of those mysterious chat groups. Luo Chen stared at his phone screen, eyes filled with shock and confusion. He had not only snatched up numerous immortal treasures and artifacts from the underworld, but also powerful swords and even some rare immortal spirits. This bounty had made many powerful immortals jealous, eager to trade with him.

"Immortal Luo Chen, could you please let us have that Soul Bow? We're willing to exchange it for treasures of equal value." The Ox-Headed Man's message popped up first, followed by the Horse-Faced Man's: "Immortal Luo Chen, that Soul Spear is vital to us. We hope you'll part with it. We won't let you suffer any loss." Luo Chen read these messages, feeling increasingly confused. He had never imagined that a red envelope he'd casually snatched would cause such a stir.

"Are these Soul Bow and Soul Spear really as important as they say?" Luo Chen pondered. He knew that the Bull-Headed and Horse-Faced Demons, who usually wielded melee weapons, were now eager to acquire ranged weapons to adapt to the current situation. He had just happened to have snatched the Soul Bow and Soul Spear they coveted, which put Luo Chen in a dilemma. He wanted to use these immortal treasures to enhance his own strength, to protect Lan Mengxing and find Mengli, but he was also worried that refusing these powerful immortals would bring him trouble.

Luo Chen's thoughts drifted back to the current situation on Blue Dream Planet. The invasion of evil cultivators from outside the realm had plunged the entire planet into chaos and fear. Although the nation's combined strength of cultivators had temporarily repelled the initial wave of attacks, no one could predict when the next wave would arrive. Luo Chen knew he shouldered the heavy responsibility of protecting Blue Dream Planet and finding his beloved, and the immortal treasures in these mysterious chat groups might be the key to his advancement.
