After leaving Lingxiao Academy, Lin Yu and his group headed north. The closer they got to the Far North, the lower the temperature became. The howling wind, carrying blizzards, was like a raging beast, constantly attacking their defenses. Snowflakes flew wantonly, and the world before them seemed to be shrouded in a thick white curtain, with extremely low visibility.
"This damn weather is worse than I imagined!" Xiao Yi complained loudly as he trudged forward. The cold wind instantly blew into his mouth, causing him to cough uncontrollably. As the roar grew closer, a massive figure slowly emerged from the blizzard. It was a giant ice beast the size of a mountain, its body covered in thick ice armor, sharp fangs protruding from the corners of its mouth. Every step it took shook the earth.
"What kind of monster is this?" Su Yao hid behind Lin Yu in fear, her voice filled with tears.
Lin Yu stared at the ice beast, his heart beating like thunder, his brain working rapidly, thinking about how to deal with it. "No matter what it is, we can't retreat!" He turned to look at his companions. Su Yao's eyes were full of fear, but she nodded firmly; Xiao Yi's face was full of excitement, and the light of battle flashed in his eyes; Lu Ming pushed his glasses, and the eyes behind the lenses revealed calmness and thinking.
At this time, Xing Lan shouted in Lin Yu's mind: "Trigger emergency mission: Defeat the ice beast and pass through this area safely. Mission success reward: Ice power amplification gem, 2000 points; mission failure penalty: deduction of 1200 points, random seal of the newly awakened power for two days."
Lin Yu took a deep breath and shouted to his companions: "Su Yao, you put up a defensive shield for us in the back; Xiao Yi, you attack from the right side to attract its attention; Lu Ming, you use your props to interfere with its actions; I will find its weakness and launch a fatal blow!"
Everyone sprang into action. Su Yao exerted her full power, and soft rays of light enveloped everyone, forming a solid defensive shield. Xiao Yi shouted, brandishing his weapon and charging at the ice beast, attacking from the right. The ice beast, enraged, suddenly turned its head and blew a stream of cold air towards Xiao Yi. Xiao Yi quickly dodged sideways, but was still touched by the cold air, and a layer of frost instantly formed on his arm.
"It's so cold!" Xiao Yi exclaimed.
Lu Ming kept throwing various small props, some of which released strong electric currents, and some of which emitted pungent smoke, trying to interfere with the ice beast's actions. However, the ice beast's ice armor was too hard, and these attacks seemed to be just tickling to it.
Lin Yu observed the ice beast's every move, looking for its weakness. He found that although the ice beast's eyes were protected by ice, when it attacked, the ice on its eyes would loosen briefly.
"That's it!" Lin Yu shouted and unleashed a full-strength attack. He incorporated the power of the "Wind Boots" into it, and his speed increased instantly. He rushed towards the ice beast like a flash of lightning, and the colorful light in his hand shot towards its eyes.
The ice beast seemed to sense danger and tried to evade, but it was too late. The multicolored light struck its eyes, and the ice beast roared in pain. Its body shook violently, and its massive claws lashed wildly, stirring up a storm of ice shards.
