As they continued to move forward in the dark forest, the trees around them grew denser and denser, like a series of black barriers that trapped them. Lin Yu tightly gripped his weapon and glanced around vigilantly. He knew that this forest was full of dangers and that every step he took could lead to unknown dangers. Not to be outdone, Xiao Yi brandished his weapon, charging at the demon wolf. His attacks were fierce and swift, each one carrying immense power. Su Yao quickly formed hand seals, forming a protective shield around everyone, protecting them from the demon wolf's attacks. Lu Ming, searching for the demon wolf's weakness, discovered its soft underbelly, so he pulled out a small concealed weapon and fired it at its abdomen.
With the concerted efforts of everyone, several demon wolves were gradually repelled. However, just when they breathed a sigh of relief, they suddenly heard a steady sound of footsteps coming from a distance. Lin Yu's face changed, and an ominous premonition surged in his heart: "Not good, it might be the Dark Cult or the Holy Light Cult coming."
Soon, a group of people in black robes appeared before them. Leading them was a tall, stern-looking man. His eyes held a sinister glint, and a powerful dark aura emanated from him. "Haha, I didn't expect to meet you here. It's like searching for something without even trying," the black-robed man sneered, his eyes filled with disdain.
Lin Yu looked at the man in black robe warily, secretly guessing his identity and purpose in his heart. "Who are you? Why are you stopping us?" Lin Yu asked loudly.
The black-robed man laughed heartily. "I am an envoy of the Dark Cult, and I have come by the leader's orders to seize the mysterious power of the Far North. You ants, you dare to be one step ahead of us? You truly overestimate your abilities."
After hearing what the man in black robe said, Xiao Yi immediately became furious: "Who do you say is an ant? Come and try if you have the guts, and see how we deal with you!" As he said that, Xiao Yi was about to rush forward, but was stopped by Lin Yu.
"Don't be impulsive, we don't know their strength yet." Lin Yu whispered.
Lu Ming observed the black-robed man and his men, trying to find their weaknesses. He discovered that each of them wore a special badge that shone with a strange light, seemingly the source of their power. "Lin Yu, their badge might be the key. If we find a way to destroy it, we might be able to weaken their power," Lu Ming whispered.
