Lin Yu and Su Yao walked cautiously towards the stream on the back of the hill. The trees around them grew denser, blocking out the sun and making the already dim forest even more eerie. The fallen leaves piled thickly under their feet, making a rustling sound with every step, as if the forest was whispering, telling unknown secrets.
Lin Yu gripped the weapon tightly in his hand, his eyes scanning the surroundings vigilantly, secretly thinking about the possible location of the "Spirit Shadow Grass". He knew that in this dangerous forest, every corner could hide deadly dangers. "Su Yao, follow me closely, don't run around." Lin Yu whispered, with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
Su Yao nodded silently, her palms full of sweat, tightly grasping the corner of Lin Yu's clothes. Her heart was filled with fear, but at the same time she was full of trust in Lin Yu. "Lin Yu, I'm a little scared, but I will be careful." Su Yao's voice trembled slightly.
Lin Yu looked back at Su Yao, a hint of tenderness flashed in his eyes. He patted Su Yao's hand gently and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here. We will find the 'Spirit Shadow Grass' soon and complete the task."

Lin Yu's eyes lit up, and he was secretly happy in his heart: "This soul-seeking compass came just in time!" He hurriedly took out the soul-seeking compass from the system space, and saw that the pointer on the compass trembled slightly and slowly pointed to the upstream direction of the stream.

"Humph, these stupid guys actually dream of finding the 'Spirit Shadow Grass' in this forest. They don't know that this 'Spirit Shadow Grass' is something that our Dark Cult is determined to obtain. After they find it, we will take action and reap the benefits." The black-robed man whispered, his voice full of confidence and pride.
One of his men respectfully asked, "Sir, why don't we take action now? With our strength, dealing with a few of them would be a piece of cake."
The black-robed man sneered, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes. "What do you know? This forest is full of dangers. If we act rashly, we might attract other powerful creatures. Besides, we don't know what other cards they have. Wait until they find the 'Spirit Shadow Grass' and have expended a lot of their physical strength and energy. Then we can take action and easily defeat them, and avoid unnecessary trouble."
The subordinate nodded quickly and said: "Your Excellency is wise, it is my fault for not considering it carefully."
The man in black robe waved his hand, signaling his men to be quiet, and then continued to stare closely at the direction of Lin Yu and Su Yao, waiting for the best opportunity.
Lin Yu and Su Yao followed the guidance of the soul-seeking compass and finally arrived at the upper reaches of the stream. The environment here was even more damp and dark, with a faint mist all around. Beside the stream, there were some strange-looking plants growing, emitting a strange light.
Lin Yu carefully observed the surrounding plants, trying to find the trace of the "Spirit Shadow Grass". Suddenly, the needle of the soul-seeking compass spun wildly, pointing to a dense bush. Lin Yu was delighted, he knew that the "Spirit Shadow Grass" was probably in that bush.
"Su Yao, be careful, the 'Spirit Shadow Grass' may be here." Lin Yu said, slowly approaching the bush.
Just as he reached out to push aside the bushes, a huge snake-like monster suddenly jumped out from the bushes. The monster was covered with black scales, its eyes flashed red, and it spewed a stream of black venom from its mouth.
"Be careful!" Lin Yu shouted and quickly jumped back. At the same time, he used his supernatural powers. The colorful light and the power of ice elements intertwined to form an ice wall, blocking the venom sprayed by the monster.
Su Yao was also startled by the sudden appearance of the monster, but she reacted quickly and formed seals with her hands to form a defensive shield around herself and Lin Yu.
Seeing that its attack was blocked, the monster roared angrily, its body expanded rapidly, and then rushed towards Lin Yu and Su Yao. Lin Yu held the weapon tightly in his hand and secretly analyzed the monster's weaknesses in his heart. He found that the monster's eyes and abdomen were its vital parts.
"Su Yao, you maintain the defensive shield, I will attack its weakness!" Lin Yu shouted.
As he spoke, Lin Yu took advantage of the moment when the monster rushed over, quickly dodged sideways, then swung his weapon and stabbed at the monster's eyes. The monster screamed in pain, and its body began to twist wildly, trying to get rid of Lin Yu's attack.
However, the monster was so powerful that its tail swung towards Lin Yu fiercely. Lin Yu had no time to dodge and was hit by the tail. His body flew backwards and fell heavily to the ground.
