Lu Ming's mind raced, his eyes behind his lenses closely observing the Shadow Panther King and the Wind Wolf's every move. He knew that to defeat these two powerful enemies, he had to identify their fatal weaknesses and devise a perfect strategy. "Don't panic. I must calmly analyze the situation," he kept reminding himself, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
The Shadow Panther King roared, its black fur standing on end, emitting a chilling aura. Its eyes flashed red, filled with rage and murderous intent. "Humble human, today is your doom!" It roared, charging towards Lin Yu like a bolt of black lightning. It turned out that the Shadow Panther King was once the overlord of the Dark Forest, commanding the region's magical beasts. Possessing immense strength and agility, it had never been defeated in battles against other magical beasts. However, as the Dark Cult's influence gradually infiltrated the Dark Forest, they used various tactics to entice and threaten the magical beasts, attempting to coerce them into their own hands. Though reluctant, the Shadow Panther King was forced to feign complicity with the Dark Cult for the sake of its clan's survival. This conflict with Lin Yu and his men was partly to protect the dignity of its territory, and partly to demonstrate its strength to the Dark Cult in exchange for greater benefits.
The Swift Wolf roamed nearby, searching for an opportunity to attack. Its body resembled a black ghost, incredibly fast and elusive. Its eyes were filled with cunning, and from time to time, it let out a low growl. The Swift Wolf was originally a lone wolf, surviving alone in the Dark Forest. Relying on its speed and agility, it managed to survive in this predatory forest. Later, it encountered the Shadow Leopard King and, impressed by his immense strength, became his trusted subordinate. It was loyal to the Shadow Leopard King, and its attack on Lin Yu and the others was intended to prove its worth to him.
Lin Yu quickly unleashed the "Five-Colored Phantom Spirit Technique," and the five-colored light merged with the power of the ice element, forming a massive ice wall to block the Shadow Leopard King's attack. Xiao Yi brandished his weapon and charged at the Swift Wolf. Seeing this, the Swift Wolf quickly turned around, nimbly dodging Xiao Yi's attacks. Its speed was so great that Xiao Yi's attacks were always just a hair's breadth away, unable to hit it. "Damn, this guy is too fast!" Xiao Yi cursed inwardly, attacking even harder, trying to find a flaw in the Swift Wolf.
Lu Ming, on the other hand, constantly adjusted the formation, trying to find a way to simultaneously trap the Shadow Panther King and the Wind Wolf. His eyes revealed a hint of anxiety. With each passing second, their situation grew increasingly precarious. "It's almost there! There must be a way!" he mentally encouraged himself, his mind racing, pondering various possible solutions.
At this moment, Xing Lan's voice rang in Lin Yu's mind: "Lin Yu, a new system task has been released. Task content: Within the next fifteen minutes, successfully defeat the Shadow Leopard King and the Wind Wolf, and protect the team members from serious injuries. Task reward: 1500 experience points and an advanced attack skill book. Task time limit: fifteen minutes."
Lin Yu's heart tightened. This mission was more difficult than the previous one, but the reward was also more generous. He knew that this was their key opportunity to defeat the powerful enemy.
