Lin Yu and others continued their arduous journey through the ice and snow of the Far North. The shadows of the dean's death and the occupation of the spiritual school hung over them like dark clouds, but the determination to seek revenge and the truth was like a fire, burning brighter and brighter in their hearts.
Lin Yu walked at the front of the team, the cold wind cutting his face like a knife, but his eyes remained firm. He looked back at his teammates from time to time, silently praying that the journey would be smoother. "Xinglan, given the current situation, how long will it take us to reach the Dragon Myth Kingdom?" Lin Yu asked Xinglan in his mind, a hint of anxiety in his tone.
Xing Lan's voice came with a hint of worry: "Lin Yu, although we are close, the forces of the Dark Cult are ready to make a move along the way. Coupled with this harsh environment, there are too many variables. We must remain vigilant at all times."
Lin Yu nodded slightly, keeping Xing Lan's reminder in mind. He looked at Su Yao. Her lips had turned purple from the cold, but her eyes were still tough. Xiao Yi carried his weapon, taking every step firmly and powerfully, as if declaring his unyielding spirit to the icy world. Lu Ming pushed his glasses, his eyes behind the lenses scanning the surroundings vigilantly, his brain working rapidly, thinking about possible crises. Lingxi followed closely in the team, her body trembling slightly, but she tried not to fall behind, her eyes full of fear of the unknown and trust in the team.
Su Yao's heart was filled with worry. She was not only worried about the death of the dean, but also worried about the future of the team. "Dean, we haven't had time to save you yet, but we won't let your sacrifice be in vain." Su Yao muttered to herself in her heart. She knew that as a member of the team, she had the responsibility to face the next challenges together with everyone and protect her teammates.
Xiao Yi's heart was filled with hatred for the Dark Cult, his hands turning pale from the tight grip he held on his weapon. "Dark Cult, and those who betrayed the Spiritual School, I will make you pay with blood!" Xiao Yi roared inwardly, eager to find the enemy as soon as possible and engage in a hearty battle, venting all his rage.
Lu Ming's brow furrowed as he mentally considered various possible scenarios. "This far north, the environment is so harsh, and our supplies and strength are constantly depleting. If we can't quickly find the Dragon's Mythical Kingdom, or a place to rest and recuperate, we'll be in even greater trouble." Lu Ming's eyes revealed a hint of worry, but he was constantly pondering a response, trying to remain calm.
Lingxi's heart was filled with fear. The mystery and danger of this far north made her shudder. But as she looked at her teammates' determined backs, a warm feeling welled up in her heart. "I can't be afraid. Everyone is so brave. I have to do my part and not fall behind," Lingxi mentally encouraged herself. She focused her attention, trying to sense any possible dangers in her surroundings.
Just as they continued to move forward, a strange fog appeared in front of them. In the fog, a figure in a white long skirt could be vaguely seen. Lin Yu's heart tightened, and he immediately signaled everyone to stop.
"What is that?" Xiao Yi asked in a low voice, gripping the weapon in his hand tighter.
"It's better to be careful, it might be dangerous." Lin Yu responded softly, his eyes fixed on the mist.
A woman emerged from the mist. Her skin was as white as ice and snow, and her long hair flowed in the wind, like an icy elf. Her eyes were icy, exuding an air of repulsion.
"Who are you? Why are you trespassing into my territory?" The woman's voice was crisp but cold, like the sound of breaking ice.
Lin Yu was slightly stunned, then said politely: "We are students of the spiritual school. We lost our way on the way to the mythical kingdom of dragons. We did not mean to offend you. I hope you will forgive us."
The woman frowned slightly, a hint of suspicion flashing in her eyes. "Spiritual School? I heard that the Spiritual School has been controlled by the Dark Cult. Are you the minions of the Dark Cult?"
Su Yao hurried forward to explain: "Girl, we were framed by the Dark Cult, and the dean was killed by them. We are here to find a way to remove the power of darkness and avenge the dean." Su Yao's voice was filled with anxiety and sadness, and her eyes were full of sincerity.
A hint of hesitation flashed in the woman's eyes, and after a moment she said, "In that case, come with me, I can take you in temporarily." After that, she turned and walked into the mist.
Lin Yu and others looked at each other. Although they had some doubts in their hearts, they had no better choice in this far north, so they followed.
Through the mist, a castle of ice and snow appeared before their eyes. The castle exuded a chilling atmosphere that made people shiver. The woman led them into the castle. The interior of the castle was magnificently decorated, but it exuded a chill.
"You guys rest here first." The woman said and turned to leave.
Lin Yu and others sat in the hall, their hearts full of doubts. "Who is this woman? Why did she take us in?" Lu Ming pushed his glasses and said doubtfully.
"No matter what her purpose is, we must remain vigilant." Lin Yu said, with vigilance in his eyes.
However, they still relaxed their vigilance. A strange fragrance spread out, and before Lin Yu and others could react, they felt dizzy and then lost consciousness.
When they woke up, they found themselves in a dark dungeon. Lin Yu struggled to get up, his heart filled with anger and resentment. "Damn it! We were deceived by that woman!"
Su Yao's eyes were full of fear. She held Lin Yu's arm tightly: "Lin Yu, what should we do?"
At this moment, the dungeon door was opened, and a man with hideous scars on his face walked in, his eyes filled with ferocity and greed.
