After passing through the passage formed by the ice wall, Lin Yu and others continued to grope forward in the depths of the ice cave. The ice walls around them shone with a cold light, and the ice surface under their feet was as smooth as a mirror. Every step had to be taken with caution, as they might slip if they were not careful.
Lin Yu walked in front, with the newly joined You Qianxue following closely behind, guiding him in the general direction. Lin Yu felt a mixture of nervousness about the unknown and a glimmer of anticipation. "Could the power sealed deep within this ice cave truly be the key to defeating the Dark Cult?" His gaze occasionally swept over the mysterious crystal in his hand. Under the cold light of the ice cave, the crystal emitted a mysterious and unstable glow, seemingly foreshadowing the bumpy road ahead.
Su Yao continued to protect the children, her eyes filled with vigilance and a hint of fatigue. The continuous fighting and the tense atmosphere had taken a tremendous toll on her body and mind, but her will was as firm as steel. "No matter what, I will protect these children until we find a safe place and uncover all the secrets." She secretly clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms without her noticing.
Xiao Yi, on the other hand, was rubbing his hands in anticipation, his eyes gleaming with excitement. For him, every challenge was an opportunity for a hearty fight. "Those guys from the Dark Cult, they better send some more powerful ones, otherwise I won't have enough to fight!" He muttered softly, his weapon creaking in his grip, as if ready for the next fierce battle at any moment.
Lu Ming pushed his glasses up, his eyes reflecting deep thought. He mentally sorted out the clues he had gathered along the way: the monster's appearance, the mysterious crystal, You Qianxue's tales, the various mechanisms within the ice cave. These seemingly fragmented pieces of information, he tried to piece together into a coherent picture. "There must be some underlying connection. If we can find the key link, perhaps we can solve the mystery," he reasoned silently, observing changes in his surroundings, searching for possible clues.
Lingxi's condition improved somewhat. She could now walk on her own, though her steps were still a little weak. Watching her teammates' determined backs, she felt a mixture of emotion and guilt. "Everyone is working towards a common goal. I must not hold them back any longer." She gritted her teeth and focused, trying to sense any danger or useful information around her.
You Qianxue's expression remained stoic, her eyes revealing both her familiarity with the ice cave and her vigilance against unknown dangers. "The road ahead will be even more dangerous. The Dark Cult's minions may already be lurking in the shadows. We must remain vigilant at all times." Her voice was calm and firm, as if warning everyone, and herself as well.
They continued on for a distance when suddenly, a vast icy lake appeared ahead. Its surface shimmered with a strange light, as if inlaid with countless stars—a scene both beautiful and dangerous. Floating on the lake were enormous ice blocks of varying shapes, some resembling sharp ice cones, others resembling giant ice ships.
"There's something strange about this ice lake, everyone be careful." Lin Yu whispered, his eyes fixed on the ice lake, trying to find any abnormalities in it.
At this moment, a huge wave suddenly surged in the center of the icy lake, and a huge figure slowly rose from the bottom of the lake. It was a monster shaped like an octopus, but its body was made of ice. Its huge tentacles waved on the ice, making a harsh friction sound.
"Another monster from the Dark Cult!" Xiao Yi roared, brandishing his weapon and charging forward. His attacks were filled with intense anger and fighting spirit, and every swing was accompanied by a whistling sound.
Lin Yu reacted quickly, unleashing the combined power of Libra and Cancer. A faint glow surrounded his body as he charged towards the monster. "Everyone be careful, this monster's strength shouldn't be underestimated!" he shouted, reminding his teammates.
Su Yao quickly took the children to a relatively safe place, and then used her ice power to try to contain the monster's actions. Her ice power collided with the monster's ice attribute, generating a strong chill that made the surrounding air even colder.
Lu Ming, in the back, quickly formed hand seals and arranged a formation. His eyes were focused and calm, as he attempted to use the formation to restrict the monsters' range of movement, creating better attack opportunities for his teammates. "Everyone, cooperate and follow the plan!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the ice cave.
Lingxi concentrated her mental energy, attempting to disrupt the monster's thinking. Sweat covered her forehead, and her face paled, but she gritted her teeth and persevered. "I must succeed. I can't let everyone's risk be in vain," she silently prayed.
You Qianxue also unleashed her own power. A faint blue light enveloped her body, and she moved across the ice like a ghost. Her attacks were precise and deadly, each strike finding the monster's weak spot. "While this monster is powerful, it's not without its flaws. Everyone, look for opportunities and concentrate your attacks!" Her voice was clear, yet firm, giving everyone a sense of confidence.
The monster roared, and its huge tentacles swept towards everyone. Lin Yu and others dodged as the tentacles brushed against their bodies, bringing up a strong wind.
"This is not a solution. We must find its core and defeat it in one fell swoop!" Lin Yu said loudly, his eyes revealing a hint of anxiety. After some observation, he found that there seemed to be a crystal flashing red light on the monster's head, which might be its core.
"Everyone listen up, concentrate on attacking the monster's head!" Lin Yu commanded everyone, and then rushed towards the monster's head first.
