Chapter 008 Li Cheng's Extraordinary Qualities
Li Cheng drove the Audi out of the branch and headed along the street towards the train station.
The branch is located in the city center, and the train station is just south of the city center, so the distance is not far.
Li Cheng was driving and thinking about something when he almost ran a red light. A traffic police officer stared at him, and Li Cheng lowered the window and saluted him apologetically.
Li Cheng was wearing a security officer's uniform, and the traffic policeman nodded at him affably. Li Cheng closed the car window and suddenly thought of something.
After a while, the light turned green, Li Cheng shifted gears and stepped on the gas, and the Audi sped forward. When it reached the entrance of a convenience store, Li Cheng stopped the car, got out, and ran toward the store.
When Li Cheng came back, he had a shopping bag in his hand. He hurriedly got into the car, started the engine, and drove the Audi back towards the train station.
After arriving at the train station, Li Cheng did not park his car in the parking lot, but went to the side door on the west side of the station. Li Cheng knew that the train station had a VIP passage where cars could be driven onto the platform.
When he arrived at the side door, he saw that it was closed. Li Cheng honked the horn and got out of the car.
The guard came out. Funny thing was, he was wearing almost the same uniform as Li Cheng. He was wearing a very old wide-brimmed hat. When he saw Li Cheng, he subconsciously adjusted his hat.
Seeing this man like this, Li Cheng knew that he needed to pretend at this time.
"Um, there's an important guest from my company who needs to be picked up at the station. Could you please open the door for me?"
The man looked at Li Cheng, then glanced at the license plate of the Audi, and finally his eyes fell on Li Cheng's face.
"Which unit are you from? I didn't receive any notice."
Li Cheng saw that he was very cautious when speaking, and he had a clue in his mind.
"The company? They just informed me, and I don't know if they've informed you."
As he spoke, Li Cheng took out an ID from his jacket pocket, but only showed the leather cover to the man.
This was Li Cheng's official firearms permit, equivalent to his escort's license. The man was only a security guard, after all. Seeing the document and the license plate of Li Cheng's Audi, which had five Arabic numerals with two leading zeros, he didn't ask any more questions and went to open the door.
When Li Cheng got into the Audi and drove through the gate, he stopped the car, took out a pack of cigarettes from his shopping bag, lowered the window, and threw it to the guard.
"Brother, you've worked hard, it's time to change your hat."
As he spoke, Li Cheng stepped on the gas and the Audi roared away.
After entering the platform, Li Cheng parked the car and took a look at the VIP room. He saw that the door was closed and there was only a staff member in railway uniform smoking at the door.
Li Cheng took out the shopping bag and walked towards the man.
"Comrade, is the bus from Jinan arriving soon?"
The man glanced at his watch and said, "It's almost time."
Li Cheng nodded, then pointed to the VIP room and said, "Is anyone there?"
The man shook his head. Li Cheng looked around and saw that no one was around, so he handed the shopping bag to the man.
The man was stunned for a moment, then opened the shopping bag and took a look. "What do you want?"
Li Cheng pointed to the entrance of the VIP room and said with a smile: "An elder came to our leader's house. It was quite sudden. I just received the notice. The leader is still in a meeting and cannot contact you. Do you think it is------"
"Oh, about that! It's okay. You won't need it right now anyway. I'll open the door for you."
As he spoke, the man threw away his cigarette butt, took out a bunch of keys, picked one and unlocked the door of the VIP room.
The VIP room was originally provided for "VIPs" to wait for the bus. Li Cheng came to pick someone up, why did he need to use the VIP room?
This is what makes Li Cheng so special. On the way, Li Cheng thought that President Gao was already in his forties, so his mother must be in her sixties.
A sixty-year-old lady must be very tired after sitting on the train for nearly four hours. Therefore, it is necessary for her to get off the train and take a rest.
The train arrived at the station, and Li Cheng successfully picked up President Gao's mother. The old lady seemed very energetic and pointed at the sign in Li Cheng's hand and said, "Young man, your handwriting is quite good."
Li Cheng smiled and said, "Auntie, you're too kind. My last name is Li Cheng. Let me carry your luggage for you."
After taking the luggage, Li Cheng took President Gao's mother to the other side.
Gao's mother was stunned. She glanced at the crowd heading towards the exit and pulled Li Cheng, "Xiao Li, aren't we going out?"
Li Cheng pointed ahead and said, "President Gao is worried that you might be too tired from the ride, so he wants you to rest for a while before you leave."
"This kid, why are you still asking me to take a break when I get here?"
Having said that, Gao's mother immediately followed Li Cheng in another direction.
In the VIP room, there were comfortable sofas and flowers and fruits on the coffee table. When Gao's mother came in, her eyes lit up. Li Cheng smiled secretly and then asked her to sit down.
A cup of hot tea was placed in front of Gao's mother. Although she lived in the provincial capital, she was just an ordinary elementary school teacher after all. She had never enjoyed such treatment before.
"Xiao Li, is your President Gao very busy?"
"Busy, busy with important things all day. Look, I don't even have time to come and pick you up."
"I'm sorry to bother you."
As Gao's mother spoke, she looked around again, appearing a little restrained.
Li Cheng saw this and knew it was time to end the conversation, so he said, "Auntie, have a drink of water first, and we'll be leaving soon. The bus is right at the door, so there's no need to check tickets."
