Chapter 3 You need a license to drive

Chapter 003 You need a license to drive

An armored truck is not difficult to drive. On the contrary, it is quite labor-saving to drive because of its high horsepower.

Several people standing in the yard like stupid birds watched Li Cheng drive the armored car up with a "boom", then adjust the direction, turn the steering wheel a few times and park the car steadily in the parking space. They were immediately filled with admiration.

Li Cheng got out of the car and walked to the back, opened the back door, and then opened the safe in the car. When doing all this, Li Cheng seemed to be familiar with it, which once again made Lao Xu and Lao Yue dumbfounded.

"You also do the work of a cashier?" Lao Yue asked with a puzzled look, as if he had just met Li Cheng.

Li Cheng started loading the cash box onto the car and took the opportunity to interrupt him, "Is this difficult? Isn't it something you can learn by just looking at it?"

Lao Yue quickly waved his hands and said, "No, no, that's not what I meant. I meant that the rule is that those who hold guns don't touch the money, and those who hold money don't touch the guns, right?"

Li Cheng looked at Lao Yue, who stood by and watched with no intention of helping, and said to him bluntly, "When did the division become so clear? Look at these cash boxes. It's hard for me to lift them. What do you want her to do?"

The female cashier gave Li Cheng a grateful look. Old Yue was about to retort when Old Xu couldn't help but yell at him, "You're standing here like a jerk. It's fine if you're not working, but what are you talking about?"

"No, Chief Xu, it's not you who's asking us to follow the rules, no-------"

"No, what do you mean? Don't you see what time it is? Do you really want to delay things?"

Lao Yue was scolded and had to help fill the cash box.

Soon, more than a dozen cash boxes were loaded. But then, a few people were faced with another dilemma. According to regulations, two armed escorts were required, and someone had to be on duty inside the bank. Today, Li Cheng and Lao Yue were supposed to escort the money, while Lao Xu was supposed to be on duty. But the driver hadn't shown up, and Li Cheng had to drive, leaving one less escort.

After a few people discussed it, Lao Xu finally took Li Cheng's belt and got into the car with a gloomy face.

The journey went smoothly. After delivering money to more than a dozen savings banks scattered across the city, Li Cheng drove back to his unit.

After receiving a phone call in the car, Old Xu got out with a sullen look on his face and headed to the bank president's office. Old Yue got out and went upstairs to the duty room. Li Cheng didn't get out of the armored car because he had to drive it back to the underground garage, and the female cashier deliberately dawdled and fell behind.

Li Cheng knew her, but he had forgotten her name. Because Lao Xu was in the car during the trip, they had hardly spoken to each other, so Li Cheng had no idea what her name was.

Li Cheng wanted to say something to her, but he didn't know how to start. When Li Cheng turned to look at her, she spoke first, "Li Cheng, can you drive?"

Li Cheng smiled and nodded.

"I remember you joined the industry on the same day as me, but you didn't tell me you could drive at that time."

"I've never touched a gun before, and now I'm a security guard."

The cashier smiled and got off the bus. Li Cheng looked at her slender figure and thought again and again, especially when he thought about the tumor on her fair left ear that he had seen when she got off the bus just now, which was jokingly called a horse hitch. Suddenly, he remembered this woman's name was Wen Ji.

"Wen Ji." Li Cheng shouted towards the back.

The female cashier turned around, smiled, and said, "You should just call me Xiao Tan."

Oh, Tan Wenji, Li Cheng finally knew her name.

Li Cheng parked the car and returned to the duty room, where he saw Lao Yue eating fried dough sticks and drinking soy milk. Because of Lao Xu, Li Cheng and Lao Yue couldn't eat in the car. Lao Xu said, "Li Cheng driving without a license is wrong in the first place, and eating and drinking while driving is even more wrong."

So, the soy milk and fried dough sticks were brought back to the duty room by Lao Yue.

Li Cheng took a sip of the soy milk and found that it was still warm, but the fried dough sticks had gone cold and lost their crispness.

Lao Yue said as he ate, "The soy milk seller has already added water, and I just added it again. This soy milk is already boiled water with a soy milk taste."

"Alright, alright, why are you complaining so much? It's good enough to have something to eat."

"Isn't it? Try it, this soy milk has no flavor at all."

The two of them talked as they ate, and soon finished this simple breakfast.

After breakfast, tea is usually prepared. This is Lao Yue's habit. Li Cheng, who had been working with him for a short time, was also introduced to the art of tea by him.

Just as they were finishing their two cups of Tieguanyin tea, the phone rang. Lao Yue picked up the phone, listened, and then handed the receiver to Li Cheng.

Li Cheng just put the microphone to his ear when he heard Lao Xu shouting, "Come over to my place."

Li Cheng couldn't figure out what Lao Xu wanted to talk to him about, so he quickly went to the section chief's office on the same floor.

As soon as he entered Lao Xu's office, Lao Xu stood up with a smile for the first time, and then warmly invited Li Cheng to sit down.

Li Cheng felt a little flattered. However, in his memory, this Old Xu had stomach cancer, and it seemed that it had developed during this period.

"Chief, is your stomach okay?" Li Cheng suddenly asked this, shocking even himself.

Old Xu was stunned for a moment, then said, "Even you noticed that? My stomach has really been aching lately. Let's not talk about that. I called you here to tell you that the president praised you for being decisive and not delaying things."

Li Cheng smiled and said, "Is that all? It's nothing, just a piece of cake."

Old Xu waved his hand and said, "The president also told me that since you can drive, he asked me to use my connections to get you a driver's license."
