Ling Jingyu raised his peach blossom eyes to look at him.
"Fine, even if you don't care about the people or your position as crown prince, shouldn't you at least think about City Lord Mo? These are her people. If something happens to them, she won't be able to remain the city lord."
He spoke with great anger, anger for Mo Yunzhao.
Ling Jingyu tilted his head to look at Mo Yunzhao: "Need it?"
Mo Yunzhao shook his head, "No need."
Ling Jingyu raised an eyebrow at Ling Yongnian, who still looked angry but had already shown embarrassment. "Did you hear that?"
Ling Yongnian's face turned red with anger. "Your Highness, do not be so stubborn. Doctor Yang is my brother's man. Now that he has cured the plague, you are not giving the medicine to this group of patients. If something happens, your position as Crown Prince will be in jeopardy."
Ling Jingyu: "Oh."
"My elder brother is dead. There are only two of us brothers in the royal family. Once you are no longer the crown prince, then there will only be your younger brother, me."
Ling Jingyu glanced at Ling Yongnian with a questioning look.
This questioning look in his eyes only fueled Ling Yongnian's anger.
"Your Highness, take care of yourself. I have already advised you. Honest advice is hard to swallow. If you are deposed one day, don't blame me for taking it from you. And don't come begging me for help."
With that, he gave Mo Yunzhao another deep look, then turned and left.
Mo Bilian looked on, stood up, and gently began to persuade him.
“Your Highness, the Third Prince is absolutely right. This is not the time to be stubborn. Let’s give the villagers medicine first. Everyone is busy and everyone deserves credit.”
"Get out," Ling Jingyu said coldly.
Mo Bilian: "Bilian will always believe in Your Highness..."
Before she could finish speaking, a powerful force surged over her and struck her in the chest.
Ling Jingyu: "Get lost!"
Mo Bilian's body flew out in a line, like a piece of junk thrown out.
With a bang.
"ah."
Two screams.
Mo Bilian crashed heavily onto Ling Yongnian.
They were kicked out of the bamboo grove.
The village chief, who was waiting outside, rushed to help Ling Yongnian up and anxiously asked, "How is it? Has the Crown Prince agreed to administer the medicine?"
Ling Yongnian, rubbing his aching back, said, "No, I begged on my knees, but the Crown Prince still insists on not taking the medicine."
Mo Bilian said softly, "This has nothing to do with Your Highness. It's City Lord Mo... Sigh, you should blame me. I didn't teach my sister well. I'm sorry to everyone."
The village chief was so anxious he cried, "What are we going to do about Hua'er? I heard he vomited blood today. If he doesn't take his medicine soon, Hua'er won't make it."
“We all recovered after taking Doctor Yang’s medicine. After today, the tests will show that we are cured and no longer contagious, and the soldiers sealing off the village can leave. But how long will it take for His Highness the Crown Prince to recover like this?”
"We just want to live, we don't want to become someone's knife, why is it so difficult, and it's the children who suffer."
As the villagers spoke, they couldn't help but cry; it was out of despair.
They are all the children's grandparents, their elders.
Now, not only are the children being held here on the south side, but their parents are also being forcibly detained and are not allowed to take Dr. Yang's medicine at all.
These villagers already regard Dr. Yang as a miracle doctor.
Ling Yongnian watched as the villagers cried one by one, his face anxious, and tears welling up in his eyes.
"Fellow villagers, don't worry. If I can't persuade the Crown Prince, then I will risk submitting a memorial to the Emperor. No matter the cost, I will make the Crown Prince compromise."
Upon hearing these words, the villagers all knelt down, weeping and saying, "Thank you, Third Prince."
"The Third Prince is a truly good person; he saved the lives of half our village."
