Chapter 34

Chapter 34

The onlookers at the door had been dispersed by Liu Zi, and Shijiu carried Su Wanxing straight up to the second floor.

"Master, does it hurt?"

Su Wanxing lay on the bed and shook her head.

"Please invite the Phoenix Princess over for me."

"But"

"This minor injury is nothing to worry about."

Although reluctant, Shijiu had no choice but to comply.

Yan Heng immediately sat down next to the injured Su Wanxing.

"How are you? Should we call a doctor first?"

"No need, thank you, Phoenix."

"No need for formalities beforehand."

"Why did the Phoenix go there today?"

Yan Heng took out a secret letter from his pocket and handed it to Su Wanxing.

Someone gave me this.

Su Wanxing picked it up and looked at it.

"I don't know a single person in the Phoenix Palace, why is this happening?"

"I don't know either, but now it seems this person must be helping us."

"us?"

When did Huang Zi join her side?

"Yes, I saw that sketchbook and really liked it. I never imagined it was you who created it."

"I never imagined that my sketchbook would end up in the palace."

"Actually, no, I bought it secretly after I left the palace."

"Will today's events cause trouble for Huang Zi?"

Yan Heng thought for a moment.

"Maybe, but Huang Shang loves me very much. Even if I'm punished, Sister Lu will plead for me."

"Sister Lu?"

"Yes, she's a very nice person. After seeing your sketchbook, I felt so sorry for Huizhi, so I wanted to go and discuss this with Huang Shang. But she stopped me and explained the pros and cons to me, telling me not to act impulsively and that this matter couldn't be resolved overnight."

"Really? She also wants to change this?"

Yan Heng nodded firmly.

"That's great! As long as she tells Huang Shang, it's sure to succeed."

"Actually, my sister had already discussed this matter with the Emperor, but the outcome was not satisfactory. The laws of our country cannot be changed suddenly."

Su Wanxing understood, but what surprised him was that the princess and the phoenix shared the same idea as her, which was a major breakthrough.

"Don't call me Phoenix anymore, just call me Yan Heng."

"This won't do!"

"It's okay, no one will blame you since you're out here."

"Oh well"

"It's getting late, you should rest first, I need to hurry back to the palace."

"Thank you, Yan Heng."

As soon as Yan Heng left, Shijiu immediately went upstairs.

"Master, the medicine is ready."

"Then I'll have to trouble you."

"good"

Nineteen gently unbuttoned his clothes, revealing red welts spreading down his back. Thick, reddish lines crisscrossed his skin. Nineteen's fingertips lightly traced them, and Su Wanxing shuddered.

"Master, it's all my fault, I hurt you."

"fine"

"Master, please don't take all the blame on yourself from now on. Nineteen would rather be beaten than see you get hurt."

"I see"

Inside the hall.

Her skin was a cool, porcelain white, yet tinged with a faint, blood-red hue, like fine mutton-fat jade soaked in rouge. Her eyebrows were slanted and drawn long and thin with incense sticks, the ends slightly upturned. The corners of her eyes were tinged with peach-colored rouge, and her pupils seemed to hold crushed starlight, with a touch of nonchalant allure. Even though she was eating grapes, the mere blink of her eyelashes was captivating. If she lowered her eyes, her eyelashes would cast a faint shadow beneath them, like a blooming poppy. Even knowing there was danger, one couldn't look away.

Her lips were painted with bright red rouge, full and rounded, with a slight upturn at the corners. When she ate grapes, her lips parted slightly, revealing a hint of her pearly white teeth, as if she were being coquettish or seductive.

Her neck revealed a beautiful curve, and wisps of hair falling from her temples gently brushed against her cheeks, like vines entwining branches, firmly capturing one's gaze.

The male concubine beside her was gently massaging her legs, glancing at the alluring beauty from time to time.

With a flick of her hand, the male concubine crawled over like a pet.

With a flick of her delicate hand, the beauty lifted a bunch of grapes, and her male favorite couldn't wait to swallow one.

The beauty was amused and chuckled softly, her voice as alluring as a fox's.

An untimely knock sounded, and a man pushed the door open and knelt on the ground.

"Princess, Yan Henghuangzi went to the residence of the Vice Minister of Rites today and took two people with him. They are the owners of a shop in the city."

"oh?"

"According to the Vice Minister of Rites, he invited the shop owner to the residence to prepare food for his daughter, but he never expected that the Princess would suddenly appear."

"That old man seems to want to side with my sister."

Should we give him a heads-up?

"No need, let her live a few more days."

"Yes, I'll take my leave."

Little sister, I didn't expect you to have a way to fight back!
