Chapter 139 Disgust

That evening, Yanling went inside to get something. Her ex-husband was sitting outside. Jiang Ru didn't dare to make a sound. She looked at her son with expectant eyes, hoping he could help her.

She still remembers Yanling's expression at that time: calm and indifferent, he glanced at her without any reaction, and then turned and left the room.

Jiang Ru felt something inside her body shatter; her face turned ashen, and her usual numbness returned.

It was then that she realized that when a person truly feels despair, not a single tear can be shed.

No one knows what kind of emotional journey Jiang Ru went through that night.

Since then, Jiang Ru has changed. She no longer cares about her children or her ex-husband. She hardened her heart and divorced him. There was no one she loved in that home anymore, and it was not worth her staying.

After leaving Yan's family, Jiang Ru never went to see the child again. That child had the same blood as her ex-husband, and she would never forget his indifferent attitude.

Later, her ex-husband passed away, and her younger brother brought Yanling home. Jiang Ru knew all of this. She never went to see Yanling, nor did she want to see him again.

Time could not erase the psychological trauma her ex-husband had inflicted on her. She chose to forget, to forget that humiliating past, and to forget that cold-blooded son.

Yan Ling hesitated. He knew about the woman's unresolved feelings towards him; when she needed him, he had chosen to ignore her pleas for help.

He was so young then that he had no way to rebel against his father. He could only protect himself. What's wrong with that?

He never expected this woman to hold a grudge like that. Because of that incident, she gradually distanced herself from him and eventually divorced his father.

Back then, which family didn't fight? Other mothers could endure it for their children, so why couldn't that woman?

It's not like Dad hits him all the time. He's not in a good mood when he's drunk, and he doesn't do it on purpose. Besides, didn't Dad apologize to her after he hit her?

Ultimately, this woman is selfish, only caring about herself and completely disregarding his father.
