The meeting ended unhappily, and the uncle complained that his nephew had changed. He remembered that Yanling was not a person who cared a lot about money before, so why does he only care about money now and not people?
Does he only care about himself? Doesn't Jiang Han need a house?
It seems I was really wrong before. I shouldn't have been so good to him, which made him have inappropriate thoughts and even wanted to get his hands on his uncle's property.
Jiang Xin was trapped in that small house. When she felt uncomfortable, she would argue with the person inside her body, but she was no match for that person. Instead, she was often verbally attacked and left speechless.
The man berated her for wasting all those years of schooling, saying she was disloyal and unfilial to her family, heartless and unjust, yet she was obsequious and fawning towards that man, and deserved to end up in such a state.
Jiang Xin was unconvinced. Why did she call her an ingrate? If the Ye family hadn't been so suffocating to her, she wouldn't have envied Yan Ling's vibrant energy, and she wouldn't have taken that step.
It was her mother who drove her to the brink.
Jiang Xin inside her body roared, "You're talking nonsense! Are you even speaking human language? What more do you want from your mother! Go out and ask around, see what kind of lives other people are living, and what kind of heavenly life you're living!"
"Didn't you say Mom treated you badly? When you were at the Ye family's house, did Mom ever say you didn't deserve to eat cherries? Did Mom ever make you do chores? Why did you turn into a maid after you left the Ye family? Are you just naturally inclined to work?"
“You were wrong from the start! Yanling isn’t a good person, and neither are you.”
Jiang Xin didn't believe her. How could the outside world be worse than the Ye family? She must be lying, she must be!
She had met other classmates before. They laughed freely and could talk loudly while eating. They could do whatever they wanted at home, unlike her, who lived under someone else's roof and had to watch her mother's mood every day.
She doesn't understand my pain at all; she just spouts platitudes and lectures.

After saving the money, Yanling bought a new phone and opened a new bank account. He then rented a small apartment outside the Fifth Ring Road.
He's been so exhausted from dealing with online attacks lately that he's completely forgotten he still has a lawsuit to fight.
That day, Jiang Xin came across a video of a shop-exploration blogger. The blogger was an internet celebrity who shared high-end home furnishing stores in Beijing with his netizens. Jiang Xin spotted her mother in the video, and standing next to her mother was a tall woman, who should be her younger sister in this life, Mingyue.
The camera pans across the screen, and the blogger says in a joking tone, "Only rich people can come here to shop. We ordinary folks can just watch the show and get a feel for the nice things that rich people use."
Jealousy distorted Jiang Xin beyond recognition. She couldn't understand why her mother would adopt another daughter and treat her so well, when she should be the one enjoying all of this.
The person inside her jumped out again to attack her: "What's the big deal? Mom treats Mingyue very well, giving her the best of everything. Your jealousy won't change anything. In your world, wasn't Mom good to you? But what have you done? Do you deserve it!"
Jiang Xin silently shed tears. In that world, her mother was also very good to her. She bought her a big house and gave her an endless amount of pocket money every month. One whole wall in the house was covered with bags that her mother had bought for her, as well as countless new clothes of the season.
Perhaps because she obtained things too easily, she began to disregard those material possessions, feeling that her mother was using them to bind her, to make her obedient, and to act as a puppet of the Ye family.
In her heart, she asked that person, "Now that I know I was wrong, Mom, will she still want me?"
The man clicked his tongue and said, "You're really shameless. You're not my only daughter, so why should I still be hung up on you? Just give up on that idea and live your ordinary, down-to-earth life!"
Jiang Xin was speechless. The man's voice rang out again: "I said, haven't you forgotten something very important? Where is your daughter? Don't you care? You only think about yourself all day long. Do you even remember An'an?"
Jiang Xin's heart suddenly tightened. An'an? Oh no, she had forgotten about her daughter!
The man laughed out loud: "Jiang Xin, Jiang Xin, you're ridiculous. You complain every day that your mother treats you badly, but what about you? You have a child now, tell me, are you good to her?"
"I, I..."
"What do you mean, 'you'? Can't answer now? Your child is still so young. Have you fulfilled your responsibilities as a mother? You spend all your time either mourning your love or complaining about how unfair the Ye family is to you. Have you ever thought about An'an? What, you're so eloquent when you're talking about others, but you're speechless when it comes to yourself? Don't be so hypocritical."
“An’an is being looked after by her grandma, she’ll be fine.”
"What a joke! Have you forgotten who Yanling grew up with? Would she take care of your child? Don't fool yourself. You're a selfish and cold-blooded person. I don't know where you get the nerve to blame others."
"Think about what you've done, and think about how your mother treated you before. Do you still dare to say she was right or wrong?"
Jiang Xin gave up arguing. She knew that it was wrong of her to neglect her daughter. She was too scared at the time, so she forgot to go home and take An'an with her. She didn't do it on purpose.
For the next month, Jiang Xin and Yan Ling had a very difficult time. Their daily routines were almost identical; they both stayed up all night and were very careful, for fear of being recognized.
That day, Yanling received a package. Judging from the outer packaging, it looked like a document. He then remembered what the lawyer had once said: Xie Jiashu was going to sue him!
He calmly opened the package. Since his life was already hopeless, who cared what the future held?
As he expected, it contained a court summons, informing him to appear in court three days later.
Yan Ling casually tossed the summons onto the table. He was penniless now, unable to pay the mortgage or the penalty for breach of contract. Let them do whatever they want.
He now even has a bold and absurd idea: he wants to tell everyone in court that none of this has anything to do with him, that it was the original Yanling who did it, and that he is also an innocent victim.

I'll post this chapter for now. I wrote about him selling the house as foreshadowing this. Now, I'm focusing on being thorough and consulting a lawyer to see if he'll go to jail for not being able to pay back the money. (????) If he can't be sentenced, I'll think of another way to punish him!
