Yan Ling was taken away by ambulance. He Wan broke down, wrapped herself in a blanket, and wailed. She couldn't understand how things had gotten to this point.
When the paramedics in the ambulance asked Yanling for his relatives' phone numbers, he readily gave them his uncle's number and then waited expectantly for his uncle to come to the hospital to see him.
The staff member dialed the number he gave her, but it was not in service. She exchanged a glance with her colleague on the other end, hesitated for a moment, and then asked hesitantly, "If we can't get through to your uncle, do you have any other people's contact information?"
