Chapter 35 I'm sorry

When the two lived together, Jiang Xin would still do housework no matter how tired she was, but Yan Ling took it all for granted.

Throughout their relationship, Yanling always took the lead, and would mock her at the slightest setback, calling her a spoiled rich girl who didn't know the hardships of life.

He knew perfectly well that he had left the Ye family and was no longer the Jiang Xin who never lifted a finger, but whenever he was unhappy, he would still use that title to mock her without any regard for her feelings.

He knew perfectly well that the Ye family didn't want her anymore, yet he still used this as a weapon to stab her in the heart.

Jiang Xin recalled her colleague's words: "Isn't it better for me to focus on my career? Why should I need a man who bosses me around, who can't bring me happiness, and who just turns me into cheap labor?"

Yes, right now Yanling can only bring her negative emotions. He blames this and that all day long and transmits negative energy to her every day.

He himself lacked ambition and even advised her not to work too hard.

Why did I ever be so blind as to be with such a selfish person?

Thinking of this, Jiang Xin's lips curled into a cruel smile: "Yes, I just think the Fifth Ring Road is too far away, and I'm not up to the task of being a landlady."

After she finished speaking, she looked up and stared at Yanling with a determined gaze.

Jiang Xin's words surprised Yan Ling. In his memory, Jiang Xin was always that timid little woman who always obeyed him and never argued back.

But Jiang Xin in front of me seems to have gone mad, actually saying that she is not up to the task.

This isn't right. Shouldn't she have happily agreed?

Yan Ling narrowed his eyes and said impatiently, "What, Miss Jiang can't endure hardship? Can't you live the life of an ordinary person?"

Jiang Xin was mourning her dead love one second, and the next second she was disgusted by Yan Ling's words.

What do you mean she can't handle hardship? Why would she want to suffer when she's perfectly fine? Is she mentally challenged or something wrong with her?

Without mentioning ownership of the house, he immediately asked her to share the mortgage payments. Does this person really think she's some aloof, unconventional rich girl?

Jiang Xin didn't want to waste any more words on him. No matter what she said, this man would attack her based on her identity.

After paying the bill with her phone, Jiang Xin said to Yan Ling, "I have something to do, so I'll be leaving now."

Yan Ling didn't chase after her. He believed that Jiang Xin would come and apologize to him soon, but this time she dared to talk back, and he wouldn't forgive her easily.

After arriving home, Jiang Xin changed her clothes and then took out the ingredients from the refrigerator to make herself a simple dinner.

After finishing her meal, she sat on the sofa, recalling all the little moments she shared with Yanling.

During her high school years, Jiang Xin was well protected by the Ye family and remained innocent and naive.

Looking back now, Yanling's resentment towards the rich was actually quite evident back then; he often complained to himself about the children from wealthy families.

He belittled those people in various ways, saying that they were unearned and had nothing and no skills except for having good parents.

He also said that those rich kids only know how to bully others and are actually useless.

Unfortunately, I thought Yanling was different from others at the time, and I even stupidly agreed with his point of view.

Her mindset changed as Yanling spoke. She believed that her brother was only benefiting from the family's success, ignoring his hard work and contributions, and immersing herself in her own ideas.

She felt that Yanling only lacked a good background; he was more outstanding than everyone else.

Looking back now, it seems that Yanling was jealous of those from good backgrounds, which is why she spared no effort to smear and belittle the rich.

He was rigid, narrow-minded, did not study well, and lacked ambition.

But he can't stand seeing people who are doing better than him working harder than him. Instead of finding a way to surpass them, he complains about unfairness every day and belittles other people's hard work.

If he really hated rich people, why was he with me back then?

Thinking about this, Jiang Xin wanted to slap herself twice. Why was she so blind to have fallen for such a thing!

Think about his behavior in the hospital; he yelled at his mother and had no manners at all.

Her mother went to the hospital to see her because she was worried about her, but in Yanling's words, her mother became a bad person.

Jiang Xin missed her mother at that moment and wanted to say "I'm sorry" to her.
