Jiang Xin was escorted to the top floor. When the elevator doors opened, she saw her brother's assistant standing by. Upon seeing this, Jiang Xin regained her usual arrogance, raised her chin, and asked someone to lead the way.
Assistant He gave her a strange look and led her to the meeting room.
Jiang Xin was displeased to see that he hadn't taken her to Ye Beichen's office, but she maintained her composure and nodded to him demurely.
Assistant He was speechless. Who was this guy? Who was he trying to impress with his arrogant attitude?
But he was just an assistant, and not wanting to offend anyone, Assistant He didn't say much and ordered someone to pour her a cup of coffee.
After seeing the BOSS and the future boss's wife enter, Assistant He quietly left.

"Is Jiang Xin out of her mind? How could she talk to me like that? Anyone who didn't know better would think I'm a heartless man!" Ye Beichen complained inwardly.
Ye Beichen lost his patience at her words and stared at her sharply: "Speak, what do you want? Didn't I tell you before that you have no connection with the Ye family?"
Jiang Xin turned pale upon hearing his cold and ruthless words.
She looked up and carefully observed Ye Beichen, only to find that there was no trace of affection or love in his eyes, only icy indifference.
Jiang Xin stared at him, her whole body stiff. She didn't know what had happened, or why Ye Beichen was looking at her like she was a stranger. But she knew she couldn't lose Ye Beichen.
"Brother, what's wrong? Just because of Yanling, you're abandoning me?"
Jiang Xin gave him a resentful look, her voice trembling slightly.
Ye Beichen was taken aback by her behavior. Did this person not understand what he was saying?
He took a deep breath: "You have severed ties with the Ye family, so please call me by my name. What do you want from me? I'm busy and don't have time to waste with you."
Jiang Xin didn't miss a single expression on his face. She looked for flaws in Ye Beichen's expression, trying to prove that he was just saying things in anger. But what did she just hear?
"No, I didn't! When did I cut ties with my family?! I know you don't want me to be with Yanling, but you can't say we're severing ties just because of him! Brother, don't you and Mom and Dad want me anymore?"
Jiang Xin's eyes widened, tears streaming down her face. All she wanted was to be with the person she loved. How could her brother say that she had severed ties with the Ye family?
Ye Beichen and Fang Ying exchanged bewildered glances. What did Jiang Xin mean by that? Was she denying that she had severed ties with the Ye family? And was she saying that her family opposed her being with Yan Ling?
Fang Ying hesitated for a moment before slowly saying, "Jiang Xin, you have severed your adoption relationship with the Ye family for many years. Also, it is your freedom to date whomever you want, and no one is interfering with you."
Upon hearing Fang Ying's voice, Jiang Xin instantly became agitated. She suddenly stood up, pointed at Fang Ying, and shouted, "Who are you? It's none of your business to interrupt my brother and me!"
Jiang Xin is very confident in herself. Her brother's love for her is unwavering, and he is only angry for the moment.
Besides, which woman by his side could compare to her? Her brother's engagement to her was just a smokescreen, definitely to appease their mother!
To everyone's surprise, upon hearing her words, Ye Beichen suddenly stood up, opened the door, and called out, "Assistant He!"
Assistant He rushed over upon hearing the boss's call. Ye Beichen looked at Jiang Xin with disgust and said coldly, "Send Miss Jiang out. If she causes trouble again, call the police."
Jiang Xin looked at Ye Beichen in shock, unable to believe that he could say such heartless words to her. She tried to pull Ye Beichen's sleeve, but he ruthlessly dodged her.
Then Ye Beichen glanced at Jiang Xin with the look of someone looking at trash, and left with Fang Ying in his hand.
