Chapter 88 I'll Do It

The two Jiang Xins argued and parted on bad terms, with the Jiang Xin inside her body resolutely forbidding her from going to see Mingyue.

Yan Ling seemed to have forgotten about Jiang Xin giving birth. The next day, he went to the restaurant as usual to open it and waited in the store to collect money.

After getting off work, my uncle went to help out at the store and casually asked about Jiang Xin's due date.

Yanling looked at her phone absentmindedly and said, "She gave birth and is in the hospital."

The uncle stopped wiping under the table and asked in surprise, "She gave birth? When? How come I didn't know?"

Yan Ling didn't even blink, replying casually, "She was born yesterday. I forgot to tell you."

Seeing Yanling's nonchalant expression, the uncle's eye twitched. Those were his wife and children! How could he talk about them so casually!

My uncle threw the towel on the table and asked seriously, "Which hospital?"

Sensing something was off about her uncle's tone, Yanling didn't care: "You can find out by asking around at the maternal and child health center when you get there."

The uncle was on the phone with his wife as he walked.

"Hey honey, are you off work yet? Xin Xin gave birth! Yes, at the Women and Children's Hospital. I'm on my way now, see you at the hospital!"

The aunt on the other end of the phone was a little confused. Why did they only call to inform her after the baby had already been born?

I am, after all, Yanling's elder, and I should have informed her in advance!

My aunt rushed to the hospital. The news was so sudden that she hadn't had time to prepare any gifts.

When they arrived at the hospital, the aunt grabbed the uncle and said, "Are you just going to visit your nephew's wife empty-handed like this?"

My uncle also felt it was inappropriate, but there was no time to prepare these things.

He said as he walked, "I just found out about this myself. The baby was born yesterday, and Yanling didn't tell me."

Auntie sighed inwardly, what a mess this is!

The two rushed to the inpatient department and immediately inquired about Jiang Xin's ward.

When they arrived at the ward door, just as the uncle was about to push the door open, the aunt quickly grabbed his hand and then raised her hand to knock on the door.

The woman who opened the door for them was a middle-aged woman they didn't recognize. The aunt thought she was Jiang Xin's mother, but judging from her clothes, she didn't look like a wealthy lady.

Seeing the question in her eyes, the caregiver, Sister Liu, explained, "I am the caregiver hired to take care of Jiang Xin. My surname is Liu."

Her aunt greeted her with a smile: "Hello, we are Jiang Xin's husband's uncle and aunt. We've come to visit her."

Sister Liu stepped aside to let them in, then very tactfully closed the door and left.

When Jiang Xin saw her uncle and aunt arrive, she propped herself up to sit up and greet them.

Your aunt chuckled dryly, "Your uncle and I didn't know you had given birth yesterday. We just got the news today and came to see you."

After saying that, he stepped forward, took her hand, and said sincerely, "Good girl, you've worked hard."

These words touched Jiang Xin's fragile nerves; her nose stung, and she shook her head, choking back tears.

The uncle looked distressed and asked in a low voice, "Where is the child?"

"The nanny took him to the check-up and will be back soon."

The uncle and aunt looked at each other, realizing they didn't need to worry about it.

My aunt said gently, "I'll cook some porridge for you when I get back."

Jiang Xin lowered her head and sobbed softly, without replying.

Seeing that she looked wronged, her aunt looked at her husband in surprise and asked with her eyes what had happened.

The uncle didn't know what had happened either, and he shook his head blankly.

"What's wrong? Tell your aunt, she'll back you up!"

Jiang Xin shook her head and remained silent, sobbing incessantly.

Auntie wiped away Jiang Xin's tears with a tissue and earnestly advised her, "Don't cry. You can't cry during postpartum confinement, or you'll get postpartum illnesses. Tell me if you have any grievances, and Auntie will stand up for you!"

Jiang Xin's eyes were red, but she forced a smile: "Auntie, I'm fine."

The aunt and uncle exchanged a glance, conveying their message through their eyes.

After a while, Jiang Xin's aunt told her that they would go look for the child.

Without waiting for Jiang Xin's reply, the two left the ward like a gust of wind.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, her aunt saw Sister Liu standing not far away. She jogged over and greeted Sister Liu.

Then he sighed helplessly: "Girl, what's wrong with my nephew's wife? She won't say anything when I ask her questions. Tell me about it."

Although Sister Liu disapproved of Yanling's attitude, she couldn't speak ill of him behind his back.

Seeing Liu Jie's troubled expression, her aunt added fuel to the fire: "This child, she won't say anything when asked, she just cries! What's the use of just crying? It doesn't solve the problem! Don't you think so?"

When Sister Liu heard that Jiang Xin had cried, she knew that Jiang Xin must have felt very wronged.

She first looked around before slowly saying, "Jiang Xin was brought here by ambulance yesterday. She had no family members with her when she arrived at the hospital."

Later, she asked the doctor to notify her sister to sign the surgical consent form. Her sister was busy with work, so I was the one her sister found to take care of her. She also hired a postpartum nanny to look after the baby.

Jiang Xin's husband arrived in the evening. After arriving, he didn't say a word of concern to Jiang Xin, but instead asked her to change wards.

He said the ward was too expensive and not suitable for Jiang Xin.

At this point, Sister Liu curled her lip in disdain. "Why should you change the fee that Jiang Xin paid?"

She continued, "It seems the two had a fight over this, and Jiang Xin's husband left without even looking at the child."

Auntie's face turned very ugly after hearing this. How did Yanling become like this?

Jiang Xin went through so much hardship to give birth to his child, but he didn't say a single kind word to her and even argued with her!

Seeing his wife striding in aggressively, the uncle's expression changed, and he quickly asked, "Did you find out?"

His aunt pulled him aside and whispered to him for a long time.

My uncle's mouth was agape, big enough to fit an egg. He repeatedly asked, "Did you hear me right?"

"You heard me right! Your good nephew doesn't care at all about his wife giving birth! He came to the hospital and started arguing with Jiang Xin!"

Seeing his wife's angry expression, the uncle shrank back in fear. He didn't know anything about it, so why was she yelling at him...?

"Forget about Yanling for now. Jiang Xin needs someone to take care of her in the hospital, right? I'll take leave tomorrow and come to the hospital to take care of her."

Auntie still softened her heart; Jiang Xin was all alone in the hospital, it was too pitiful!

Her uncle looked at her with gratitude and said, "Thank you for your hard work."
