Chapter 462 Doubts in My Heart

"Ah, I'll put it here."

Fu Shengjie nodded and thanked Jiang Sheng with a smile.

Seeing the brown paper bag placed on the table, Fu Shengjie didn't think much of it.

The next day was the monthly exam. This time, their school boldly used exam papers written by teaching assistants for the monthly exam, just to see how good the teaching assistants the school had recruited were.

Jiang Sheng glanced at Fu Shengjie, who was writing his thesis, but didn't say anything else. He simply turned and left.

He knew that Fu Shengjie would definitely come looking for him soon, and the purpose of his visit would naturally be related to the exam paper.

As Jiang Sheng returned, Fu Shengjie, having finished his work, picked up a brown paper bag from the side, wanting to see how well the teaching assistants had done on the questions.

After opening the test paper, Fu Shengjie glanced at it and, seeing that the questions were fairly standard, nodded in satisfaction.

"The questions these teaching assistants set are pretty good. With another year or two of experience at the university, we can select a few suitable ones to become full-time university teachers."

After reviewing the relevant exam papers from beginning to end, Fu Shengjie placed the brown paper bag aside.

Although the exam paper was well-designed, the answers are the most important thing.

With that thought in mind, Fu Shengjie opened the brown paper bag.

But as soon as he opened it, he found it was empty.

"And the answer?"

Fu Shengjie frowned subconsciously. The first thing that came to his mind was that teaching assistant Zhang Sicheng had forgotten to put the answer in.

"I can't do without the answers. The monthly exam is tomorrow. I'd better go to the seminar building and ask Professor Zhang for the answers in person."

Thinking this, Fu Shengjie stood up and left the office. A short while later, he arrived at the seminar building.

In the seminar building, Zhang Sicheng stood in front of his computer, looking at the first draft of his paper that he had completely plagiarized, and nodded in satisfaction.

"Zhao Yiyan is indeed a talented woman; her thesis is truly excellent!"

"As long as I change the names of all the papers to my own, and I have original copies of everything from the first draft to the final version, while I secretly destroy Zhao Yiyan's original copies, then Zhao Yiyan will have no evidence to prove that she wrote all of this. I can then step on her to rise to the top and become the first university teacher in our school to be officially appointed!"

Zhang Sicheng became increasingly smug, completely unaware that Fu Shengjie had already reached the door.

Seeing Zhang Sicheng standing in front of the computer desktop with a smile on his face, Fu Shengjie didn't think much of it and just stood next to him with a smile.

"What are you looking at? You seem so happy. Why don't you share some good news with me?"

Fu Shengjie's sudden voice startled Zhang Sicheng.

He instinctively wanted to close the document on his computer screen, but fearing being noticed, he turned around subtly, blocking the computer screen.

"No, it's nothing," Zhang Sicheng said with an embarrassed smile, pretending to be nonchalant. "I'm just preparing the first draft of my thesis. I was looking for some information and just found some, so I'm happy."

Fu Shengjie didn't think too much about it and just nodded slightly.

"You've been a teaching assistant at the school for two years now, and it's definitely time for your evaluation. So study hard and try to get a permanent position as soon as possible."

Fu Shengjie offered him a few words of encouragement before explaining his purpose.

"By the way," Fu Shengjie showed Zhang Sicheng the brown paper bag in his hand and said, "I have something important to discuss with you. I've received the monthly exam papers, but the answers aren't in here. Did you forget to put them in?"

"No?"

Zhang Sicheng instantly realized that Liu Haowen had succeeded when he saw the empty brown paper bag.

Suppressing his excitement, Zhang Sicheng shook his head in confusion, then spoke with great certainty.

"That's impossible. When Jiang Sheng came to me for the test paper, I put the answer key inside and gave it to him in front of him."

The truth is that Zhang Sicheng simply handed the brown paper bag to Jiang Sheng, not as he claimed.

However, now that the answers to the test paper are indeed lost, Jiang Sheng is entirely to blame.

So, since Jiang Sheng has no evidence to prove his innocence, he might as well just throw mud at him!

Anyway, Jiang Sheng will be expelled from school and his reputation will be ruined.

It wouldn't be unreasonable for him to give it a push at this point!

Thinking about this with smug satisfaction, Zhang Sicheng frowned.

"How about I accompany you to ask Jiang Sheng? Maybe he accidentally left the answer somewhere."

At this point, Zhang Sicheng shook his head, seemingly afraid that Fu Shengjie might misunderstand: "It's all my fault for not sealing the paper bag when I gave it to Jiang Sheng. It's possible that the answers accidentally fell into that place."

Fu Shengjie didn't think too much about it. Rather, he didn't suspect Jiang Sheng at all, and just felt that it must be a misunderstanding.

So he nodded and left the seminar building with Zhang Sicheng, intending to go to the boys' dormitory to ask about the specific situation.

On the way, the two happened to run into Liu Haowen, who was on his way to the library.

"Teacher Fu, Teacher Zhang!"

Liu Haowen stepped forward, greeted the two, and asked with concern, "You two look very anxious. Is something wrong?"

Before Fu Shengjie could speak, Zhang Sicheng said helplessly, "It's about yesterday's test paper issue. You were supposed to come, Xiao Liu, but you handed it over to Jiang Sheng, and then the answer key got lost..."

Zhang Sicheng then briefly explained the matter to Liu Haowen.

Upon hearing this, Fu Shengjie, who was standing next to him, subconsciously frowned.

Before the matter was even cleared up, and before anyone knew what had happened, Zhang Sicheng told his classmates about it.

What if this causes a misunderstanding among classmates, and everyone misunderstands Jiang Sheng?

Just as Fu Shengjie was about to interrupt Zhang Sicheng, Liu Haowen suddenly spoke up.

"Teacher Fu, Teacher Zhang, yesterday I happened to see Jiang Sheng coming back from the seminar building with his test paper and answers. I asked him some questions and we went back to the dormitory together."

Liu Haowen
