Chapter 37 A Heart-to-Heart Talk Between Siblings

Noticing the two burning gazes, Zhao Xuehui was extremely embarrassed and angry, and slapped Jiang Sheng on the head.

"Second sister, it's your own fault for not paying attention to your appearance, how can you blame me..."

Jiang Sheng couldn't help but speak up, wanting to argue back with a wronged expression, but Zhao Xuehui slapped him on the head again.

"You dare to talk back to me? Close your eyes and go to sleep right now. Don't look around, do you hear me!"

Zhao Xuehui's heart suddenly started racing. She hugged herself tightly to her chest and spoke loudly to cover up her slightly flustered state.

"I heard it! I heard it!"

Jiang Sheng quickly closed his eyes and turned his body to the other side to avoid being bullied by his second sister.

"Alright, second sister, I'm going to sleep now. You should rest too. Goodnight!"

Looking at the young man in front of her, who seemed afraid that she would make a move, Zhao Xuehui blushed with embarrassment, but couldn't help but laugh at Jiang Sheng's swift movements.

"Alright, alright, I'm not kidding anymore. Go to sleep."

Zhao Xuehui shook her head helplessly, turned around, and whispered "Goodnight" as she closed the door.

When Jiang Sheng woke up the next day, he opened his eyes and his head ached from the hangover.

He casually threw on some clothes and turned off the fan.

I had already drunk quite a bit of alcohol, and then I left the electric fan on all night.

He felt a little dizzy, as if he had caught a cold.

It wasn't until he stepped out of the bedroom and splashed cold water on his face that Jiang Sheng finally came to his senses and became much more alert.

"Come and eat!"

Breakfast had already been prepared in the kitchen. Seeing that Jiang Sheng had gotten up, his second sister, Zhao Xuehui, invited him to come and eat.

Zhao Nianmeng also sat down, and the three siblings sat at the dining table, eating and chatting.

"Xuehui said you drank too much last night?"

The eldest sister, Zhao Nianmeng, came home quite late that night. When she arrived, Jiang Sheng was already asleep in bed.

"I had a few drinks," Jiang Sheng quickly laughed it off, afraid that his older sister would be angry. "After all, I haven't drunk alcohol for eighteen years, so I suddenly had a little bit and got a little drunk."

“You’re already eighteen, it’s okay to drink a little less,” Zhao Nianmeng just smiled, but her smile was a little forced. “I didn’t expect Xiao Fuzi to get into Peking University. You two are childhood friends, so you should support and help each other in the future since you’re in the same school.”

Although it was meant as a reminder to herself, Jiang Sheng could tell that his older sister was somewhat distracted.

He immediately thought of the factory and knew that his older sister was still worried about the Hongxing Steel Rolling Mill.

Jiang Sheng pretended not to notice that his older sister was absent-minded and obediently nodded.

"I understand, eldest sister."

"By the way, since you drank some alcohol yesterday, you should just stay home and rest today. Don't go out and sell things at your stall."

Feeling sorry for Jiang Sheng, who had to earn a living by setting up a stall because of her own situation, Zhao Nianmeng felt even more guilty.

No, she needs to resolve the factory issue as soon as possible; if it really can't be resolved...

Zhao Nianmeng couldn't help but sigh inwardly. If there really was no other way, then she would listen to Lin Jiafu.

The eldest sister is preoccupied with her own worries, and there's a scumbag in the factory secretly eyeing her, while the second sister is going through a critical period of being pursued by another scumbag.

With two things happening at the same time, Jiang Sheng was completely overwhelmed.

Fortunately, Jiang Sheng doesn't need to worry too much about his second sister for the time being, which allows him to take some time to see if he can find an opportunity to work on his eldest sister and try to find out more about that scumbag at the factory.

After finishing his meal, Jiang Sheng decided to take a day off because his older sister had forbidden him from setting up a stall to sell things. He would go back to setting up the stall the next day.

Little did they know that he hadn't set up his stall much that day, and his regular customers were all disappointed when they didn't see him.

But that's a story for another time.

My second sister is going to work at the radio station, and my eldest sister is going to work at the steel rolling mill.

Jiang Sheng quickly tidied himself up and then rushed back to his bedroom, where he took out the state-owned enterprise restructuring plan he had written a few days ago.

While his older sister was changing her shoes to go out, he quickly went over to her.

"Big sister, I happen to be free and have nothing to do. How about I come with you and take you to work at the factory?"

Zhao Nianmeng smiled and turned to look at him, surprised, "What are you up to now? You usually go about your own business after dinner, why did you decide to take me to work today?"

Zhao Xuehui also feigned jealousy, saying, "That's right, so only your eldest sister is your real sister, but your second sister isn't, right?"

"I'll take my second sister home tomorrow," Jiang Sheng said with a strong desire to survive. "Both of my sisters are my precious treasures, but you two don't go to work in the same direction. Otherwise, I wouldn't be in such a dilemma!"

"Alright, alright," Zhao Nianmeng said with a smile, shaking her head. "Since Xiaosheng is just lazing around at home with nothing to do, why don't you come out and walk with me?"

She also wanted to take this opportunity to talk to Jiang Sheng about setting up a stall on the street.

After saying goodbye to his second sister Zhao Xuehui, Jiang Sheng rode his bicycle alongside her on the road.

There were quite a few people going to work in the morning, and after the two of them rode their bicycles for a while, the road ahead became a bit congested.

The two of them simply pushed their bicycles forward and chatted as they walked.

“Xiaosheng,” Zhao Nianmeng brushed aside her wind-blown hair and looked at the man beside her, “You don’t need to worry about things at home. If you want to experience how hard it is to make money, I won’t object, but you must not focus all your attention on making money.”

Although he didn't mention setting up a stall at all, Zao Nie Meng's words implied to Jiang Sheng that he must focus on his studies and not put the cart before the horse.

It seems that the factory incident must have affected the older sister's mood, which made her think that she was setting up a stall to earn money in order to supplement the family income.

A warm feeling welled up in Jiang Sheng's heart: "Don't worry, big sister. I just want to experience life. Now that I've been admitted to Yanjing City, my main focus will definitely be on studying. Making money is just secondary."

Besides studying hard, Jiang Sheng's main goal in being reborn is to change the fate of his four older sisters.

The only way to change their fate is to work hard and make more money!

"That's good!"

Seeing Jiang Sheng's assurance to her, Zhao Nianmeng suddenly realized that the boy in front of her seemed to have grown up a lot and matured considerably.

He couldn't help but smile with emotion: "Just yesterday, Xiaosheng, you were still a little kid in the village who only knew how to make adults angry. Today, you're already a big boy who cares about your older sisters."

The atmosphere suddenly became much more relaxed, and the two of them had already arrived at the entrance of the Red Star Steel Rolling Mill.
