(The male and female protagonists have finally remarried. Two chapters were released this morning. To thank readers for their continued support, an extra chapter will be added tonight.)

Your support is essential for my new book; it's what motivates me to keep writing.

As the saying goes, whether you drive one sheep or a flock of sheep, it's all the same. Adding the charge of stealing the household registration book makes no difference; you'll be scolded anyway. Not wanting to upset her mother, she decided to go all out this time, as the only way was to not remarry.

Li Yuqiu said, "That's all we can do. Don't listen to how harsh Mom usually is. Even if you're really stubborn, she can't do anything to you. At most, she'll scold you and hit you a couple of times. Even if we don't remarry, has she stopped scolding you?"

Li Yuzhu shook her head and said nothing more. This time, she had no choice but to confront her mother directly; otherwise, remarrying Dong Qing would be a pipe dream.

After they finished eating, they returned to the car. Dongqing lay down on the back berth to sleep, while Li Yuzhu sat in the passenger seat teaching her younger sister how to drive.

Su Wei and Chen Hong jumped off the tractor trailer. They had hauled five loads of bricks, finishing close to midnight. After unloading the last load, Su Wei said, "The tractor will stay here. Could you please take the forklift back to the machine factory?"

Chen Hong said, "Aren't you hungry since you've been busy until midnight? Come with me to the city for dinner, and I'll ride my bicycle back to you afterward."

"Okay, I'm covered in mud after running around all day. Wait a moment, I'll go home, wash up, and change."

Chen Hong nodded after hearing this, and Su Wei turned and walked home.

Her light footsteps faded into the distance, and her figure gradually disappeared into the vast night.

As night fell, Su Wei's figure was gradually swallowed up by the darkness in Chen Hong's sight. At this moment, it was as if a dream had ended, leaving only the sound of his most familiar footsteps echoing and lingering in the night sky.

When Su Wei returned home, her parents and younger brother were already asleep.

She went inside to get a dress and underwear, went back to the yard, put the dress and underwear on a stool, and then changed into a pair of slippers.

She carried a bucket of water from the water vat. The water in the vat was still warm even at midnight, after a day of being exposed to the scorching sun.

She picked up the bucket and placed it on a large millstone in the yard, a millstone that held memories of her childhood and the vicissitudes of time.

The cold millstone seemed to bear the marks of time, telling her about the trials and tribulations of those years.

Everything has changed. She has grown from an ignorant little girl into a young woman. Only this blue stone millstone remains unchanged. It still stands here, unmoved, as if it has been watching over her growth every year.

This millstone has been placed here since she was a child, accompanying her through more than 20 years of trials and tribulations.

Su Wei stood under the moonlight, gazing at the millstone, as if she saw her childhood self, an ignorant little girl who had climbed, played, cried, and made a fuss on this millstone. Wasn't that ignorant little girl herself?

It still stands here today, as if it has been guarding Su Wei every year, accompanying her growth without ever leaving her side.

Su Wei snapped out of her reverie, walked to the rope, took a towel, and turned to walk toward the millstone.

She stood on the millstone in the darkness, her clothes already soaked with sweat. She took off her clothes and underwear and threw them on the side of the millstone, then squatted down and poured water on herself.

After taking a shower, I felt much more relaxed, as if the fatigue of the day had been washed away by the cold water. It also washed away the smell of sweat, leaving me feeling comfortable and cool all over.

She dried herself with a towel and put on her underwear and skirt.

She stepped down from the millstone, went back inside to change into a pair of cloth shoes, and walked lightly towards the gate.

Su Wei arrived at the site of the house, where Chen Hong was waiting in the moonlight. She said, "Let's go."

Chen Hong nodded and got into the car.

Since there was no room for anyone to sit on the forklift, Su Wei stood on the side of the forklift, wrapped her arms around Chen Hong's shoulders, and started the forklift to drive into the city.

Four days later, Dong Qing finished unloading the goods and loaded a truck with soybeans. He and the Li Yuzhu sisters returned home overnight.

The next morning, after a long overnight drive, we returned to our hometown county.

Li Yuzhu told her younger sister to take the bus home first, while she and Dongqing drove towards the bean product factory.

Park the truck in front of the soybean product factory warehouse gate, and have the factory manager, Zhou Hui, send someone to unload soybeans into the warehouse. After unloading, have her go home and call Su Wei over, and have Su Wei drive the truck to a place where it won't get in the way.

Dongqing said, "Yuzhu, let's go home, take a shower, change our clothes, and get the marriage registration done this morning. We can visit your parents at noon. Is this arrangement okay?"

Li Yuzhu said, "I'll do whatever you say. Just don't go to my parents' house for now. My mother will scold you if you go. I'll go back first, and you can go back after my mother has finished scolding you."

Dongqing said, "Even after we remarry, you'll still be my wife, and your mother will still be my mother. I'll listen to whatever she says. This isn't the first time I've been scolded by your mother. She's hit me before, so what's a little scolding? She's an elder, so let her scold me!"

An ugly daughter-in-law will eventually have to meet her in-laws; there's no way to avoid it. After hearing this, Li Yuzhu nodded and said nothing more, then walked into the city with Dong Qing.

Around 8 a.m., Dong Qing and Li Yuzhu walked into the Civil Affairs Bureau with their household registration book and divorce certificate. The staff processed their remarriage and exchanged their divorce certificate for a marriage certificate, ending their months-long divorce.

Remarriage is simply getting married again, and there is no difference between obtaining a remarriage certificate and obtaining a marriage certificate for unmarried young people.

If there is any difference between them, it is that they got married again after their marriage was broken, thus restoring their marital relationship.

Perhaps they should cherish their second marriage even more, treasuring their hard-won second marriage.
