Chapter 1 Rebirth

Su Jinyue looked up at the sky. The sky was blue and the white clouds were like balls of cotton, slowly floating in the sky. She smiled bitterly. This was the last time in her life that she would enjoy such a view. She would never have the chance again.

A month ago, she was the chairman of Chunlin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., one of the world's top 500 companies, with assets worth tens of billions. But at this moment, she is a death row prisoner waiting for execution.

The ones who brought her to this point were her boyfriend, with whom she had been in a relationship for seven years and was about to get married, and her younger sister, who grew up with her and was adopted by the master like her.

Su Jinyue retracted her gaze and looked at the three bailiffs not far away, pointing their guns at her. Regardless of hatred or reluctance, from this moment on, everything had come to an end.

"Prepare!"

"shooting!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Three gunshots rang out at the same time.

Bright red blood gushed out from the blood hole on his forehead, and Su Jinyue could even hear the sound of blood dripping onto the ground.

"Jin Yue!" A heart-wrenching roar was heard.

Su Jinyue looked up and saw a blurry figure running towards her from afar. Once she saw who it was, an apologetic smile appeared on her lips. This man, whom she had always treated as a brother, had sacrificed so much for her. Every time she encountered difficulties or danger, he would always appear at the first opportunity to help her solve the problem.

After taking a deep look at the other person, Su Jinyue slowly closed her eyes, tears mixed with blood slowly sliding down from the corners of her eyes. Yihan, I'm sorry! If there is another afterlife, I will definitely marry you...

"Jin Yue!" Zhan Yihan's face was grim. Like a madman, he pushed aside the two bailiffs who were trying to stop him and rushed towards Su Jin Yue, who lay in a pool of blood. He had just returned from a mission when he heard the news that she had been sentenced to death. He rushed to the execution ground without even completing his mission, hoping to save her first, but he was still one step too late.

Zhan Yihan hugged Su Jinyue tightly, tears falling uncontrollably, "It's my fault that I failed to protect you. I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry..." He was useless and couldn't even protect the one he loved. He really deserved to die!

He had loved her silently for ten years. Even though he knew she already had someone she loved, he still couldn't let go of his love for her. He repeatedly told himself to let it go, but he still couldn't help wanting to care about her and wanting to know if she was doing well.

After learning that she was about to marry that man, his heart ached, but as long as she was happy, he would definitely bless her. However, he couldn't bear to see her marry another man, so he took on that dangerous mission. He thought that when he returned this time, she would have completed the wedding with that man, but he didn't expect that the next time he saw her, it would be forever.

If he knew this would be the outcome, even if she didn't love him, he would tie her tightly to his side. Even if she would hate him for it, as long as she could live, it would be fine.

Two bailiffs stepped forward and tried to pull Zhan Yihan away from Su Jinyue, but their strength was no match for Zhan Yihan's.

"Let her go, she's dead." They had all heard of Zhan Yihan's reputation and thought that a man like him would not shed tears. Now they know what it means to be a tough guy with a soft heart.

"Get out of here!" Zhan Yihan's red eyes swept coldly towards the two bailiffs.

The two bailiffs took two steps back in fear. Zhan Yihan was a falcon on the battlefield, and his aura was beyond the ability of two mere bailiffs to withstand.

"Jinyue, I'll take you home." Zhan Yihan's eyes were gentle. He lowered his head and kissed Su Jinyue's pale lips, then picked her up and walked away. He would take her back to their hometown and bury her there. He would avenge her and then guard her until old age, until the last moment of his life...

Su Jinyue felt the sunlight shining into her eyes. She slowly opened them, looked around, and blinked in confusion. Why does this place look so familiar? It seems like Master's clinic.

She propped herself up with her hands, trying to sit up and see clearly, when a sharp pain shot through her calf. "Hiss!" Su Jinyue gasped in pain. I can actually feel pain. Am I not already dead? How can I feel pain?

"Wake up." Following the sound of footsteps, an old voice came from the door.

Su Jinyue was startled and quickly turned around to look. When she saw the person in front of her clearly, her eyes widened in surprise. "Master... Master!" Didn't Master pass away ten years ago? What was going on?

Xu Tiansheng walked up to Su Jinyue and handed her a bowl of Chinese medicine. "Drink this bowl of medicine. You're seriously injured this time. Be careful when you go to collect herbs next time. Try not to pick herbs near the cliff."

"Oh!" Su Jinyue took the medicine bowl blankly. This scene was so familiar, as if it was twelve years ago when she went to the mountains to collect herbs and accidentally fell off a cliff. Could it be? No way!

"Master, what year is it now?" Su Jinyue looked at Xu Tiansheng, her eyes tinged with excitement and anticipation. If she really went back to the past, wouldn't that give her a chance to start over?

Xu Tiansheng looked Su Jinyue up and down, stretched out his hand and said, "Give me the medicine first, I'll take your pulse." Could this girl have hit her head?

"I'm fine, just a little confused from sleep." Su Jinyue raised the medicine bowl in her hand and took a sip. The bitterness made her face wrinkle. It had been a long time since she had taken Chinese medicine. The bitterness was unbearable.

"Are you really okay?" Xu Tiansheng was a little unconvinced. This girl always swallowed her medicine in one gulp, so it was really unlike her to dawdle like this.

"If something happened, would I still be able to recognize you?" Su Jinyue winked at Xu Tiansheng playfully. She was raised by her master, and to her, her master was no different from her father.
