"Doctor, please think of a way to save my daughter." Fang Shuyi tugged at the doctor's sleeve and looked at him pleadingly. She only had this one daughter, and if anything happened to her, she didn't want to live anymore.
"Don't worry, I will find a way." The doctor nodded.
"Doctor Fang, there's a call for you in the office." A young nurse ran over and said.
Dr. Fang nodded, looked at Fang Shuyi and Qin Haoran apologetically, and walked towards the office.
"Haoran, what should I do? I'm so scared!" Fang Shuyi held Qin Haoran's hand tightly, her eyes filled with fear and worry. She didn't expect that Yaoyao would be in such danger just because of a nosebleed.
"Don't worry, it's okay. Yaoyao will be fine soon." Qin Haoran patted Fang Shuyi's back. He was also filled with worry.
Not long after, Dr. Fang came back. He looked at Qin Haoran and Fang Shuyi happily, "I have a way to help the patient stop the bleeding." He had just received a call from the dean, who had told him how to stop the nosebleed.
"That's great! Doctor, please help my daughter stop the bleeding." Fang Shuyi said happily. If the bleeding can be stopped, Yaoyao will be fine.
Doctor Fang nodded and walked into the clinic. After a while, he came out again. "The nosebleed has stopped, but the patient lost too much blood this time. It would be best to give him a blood transfusion. Does anyone here have type A blood?"
"Type A blood?" Qin Haoran and Fang Shuyi looked at each other. Neither of them had type A blood.
"Doctor, are you sure it's type A blood?" Seeing the doctor nod, Qin Haoran continued to ask, "If my wife and I both have type B blood, can we give birth to a child with type A blood?" He completely trusted his wife.
"If this is the case, you can only give birth to a child with type B or type O blood. Type A is impossible," said Dr. Fang.
Qin Haoran nodded, a thoughtful look on his face. Yaoyao was born at home, so it was impossible for the wrong child to be taken away. So there was only one possibility: the woman who took care of his wife had switched her child with theirs. No wonder people kept saying Yaoyao didn't look like him and his wife. Dr. Fang watched the two men leave, shook his head, turned around and walked into the clinic.
"Haoran, I've never done anything to let you down. You must believe me." Fang Shuyi fearfully grabbed Qin Haoran's hand. The doctor's words had left her completely bewildered. Yaoyao's blood type was different from both hers and hers. Didn't that mean she had an affair with another man? But she truly hadn't.
Qin Haoran nodded and looked at Fang Shuyi seriously, "Shuyi, Yaoyao may not be our daughter."
"What did you say?" Fang Shuyi was stunned! What did Haoran mean? How could Yaoyao not be their daughter?
"Do you still remember He Qingfang who took care of you?" Qin Haoran asked.
Fang Shuyi nodded, "I remember, she was the one who delivered Yaoyao for me."
Suddenly, she understood something and looked at Qin Haoran in disbelief, "Are you saying that she swapped her child with ours?" She remembered that when He Qingfang delivered her baby, it had only been a few days since she gave birth.
When He Qingfang gave birth, she was pregnant, so she didn't go to see her child and didn't know what the child looked like, but she knew it was a girl.
Qin Haoran nodded and said, "When Yaoyao was little, many people said she didn't look like us. Now her blood type is different, which proves she's not our child." He found it hard to accept this fact. They had raised Yaoyao for over twenty years. How could they not have feelings for her? But Yaoyao's mother had torn them apart. Now he didn't know whether his daughter was alive or dead, or what kind of life she would lead.
"I can't accept it." Fang Shuyi shook her head grimly. She had raised Yaoyao for so many years, and in her heart, Yaoyao was her daughter, her life.
"Aren't you going to find our biological daughter?" Qin Haoran frowned at Fang Shuyi. He loved Yaoyao, but he couldn't forgive what her mother had done. Qin Haoran fell silent. He understood what his wife meant, but he didn't know how to face Yaoyao in the future. Her biological mother was so cruel and had done such a heinous thing. How could he not hate her? He couldn't treat Yaoyao the same way he had before.
Qin Mengyao had already woken up. When her parents didn't come in to see her, she panicked and looked at Doctor Fang who was sitting beside her. "Doctor, why don't my parents come in to see me?"
"Your parents are out for something and will be back soon," Doctor Fang said. Qin Mengyao wasn't seriously ill, aside from a slight nosebleed. But since the director had told him to, he had no choice but to comply. Judging from the expressions on Qin Haoran and his wife's faces, there must be something hidden. Perhaps Qin Mengyao wasn't their biological child.
"Did they go out? Did they meet someone?" Qin Mengyao asked anxiously. With her in such a state, how could her parents have the energy to do anything else?
"I don't know, they just said they would be back soon." As he was speaking, there was a knock on the door.
Doctor Fang stood up, walked over and opened the door, only to see Qin Haoran and his wife standing outside. "Your daughter has woken up, but she's a little weak. She needs to be hospitalized for two days of observation. I'll go arrange a ward for her now. You can come in and stay with her."
