Su Jinyue smiled and shook her head, "You're welcome, I'm just doing my part."
"Jinyue, your contribution is truly remarkable." Chen Zhenghai's hearty laughter echoed from a distance. He had been staying at a villager's home yesterday, and before dawn today, he had gone to check on the villagers. He found that all their ulcers had healed. Such rapid results truly amazed him.
"Principal!" Su Jinyue greeted Chen Zhenghai with a smile.
The older doctor saw Chen Zhenghai and quickly walked over to him, shaking his hand. "Principal Chen, do you still remember me?"
Chen Zhenghai smiled and nodded, "We graduated from the same school, how could we not remember? Fang Wubin, do you still remember that we pursued the same girl?" They were young and hot-tempered at that time, and they even had a fight over it.
"How could I not remember? In a blink of an eye, we haven't seen each other for almost twenty years?" Thinking of their youth, Fang Wubin's eyes were slightly moist.
"Yes, we're all old now. Time really doesn't spare us," Chen Zhenghai said with a smile. When they graduated, China was at its most chaotic. Their classmates went their separate ways, seeking their futures and stable lives. There aren't many of them left now.
Fang Wubin turned his head, wiped the corners of his eyes with his hand, and looked at Chen Zhenghai with a smile, "Principal Chen, thank you for bringing us the special medicine this time." People tend to be sentimental when they get old, especially when they meet friends from their youth.
"The special medicine was not brought by me, but by Su Jinyue." Chen Zhenghai said with a smile.
Fang Wubin was stunned and turned to look at Su Jinyue, "Isn't she your student?" Su Jinyue told him that she was just a sophomore. No matter how talented a sophomore was, it was already remarkable that she could master all the medical knowledge.
"She's a student at my school, I'm not qualified to teach her," Chen Zhenghai said with a hearty laugh. Su Jinyue's medical skills were so good that few could match hers, let alone at the Medical University, or even in the entire medical community. He was definitely not as good as her anyway.
"Ah?" Fang Wubin's mouth opened in surprise. Is Su Jinyue really that powerful?
"Principal, if you say that again, I will feel ashamed." Su Jinyue said with a smile.
Chen Zhenghai laughed heartily. "Where were you staying last night?" He had originally intended to come look for Su Jinyue last night. The doctor stationed in Yunli Village had told him that Fang Wubin was in charge. Although he hadn't seen Fang Wubin in nearly twenty years, he still had some understanding of him. He felt reassured with Fang Wubin around. Besides, Su Jinyue was a man of measure.
"Dr. Fang and the others and I live in the camp by the river," said Su Jinyue.
Chen Zhenghai nodded and said, "Things here are almost done, let's go back this afternoon." Someone here will handle the follow-up work, and they can't help much if they stay here.
"Principal, I won't go back to the capital with you. I want to go home." If she didn't go back, her mother would come after her in person.
"Can you do it alone?" Chen Zhenghai asked worriedly. No matter how capable Su Jinyue was, she was still a girl. What if she encountered a bad guy while traveling alone?
"It's okay, I'm used to being alone." Su Jinyue shook her head and smiled. There was almost no one on Earth who could pose a threat to her.
Chen Zhenghai thought about it and nodded, "Then be careful on the road."
"I will." Su Jinyue nodded.
After dinner, Su Jinyue and Chen Zhenghai took a bus to the train station.
Su Jinyue bought the ticket and soon the train to Hecheng arrived at the station. "Principal, I'm leaving first. See you when school starts." She had originally planned to fly on a sword at night, and Chen Zhenghai was afraid that she would leave alone at night. He was even more worried. Anyway, Liancheng was not far from Hecheng and could be reached in four or five hours.
"See you at the start of school." Chen Zhenghai watched Su Jinyue get on the train before looking away.
Su Jinyue walked to the seat marked on her ticket and saw a middle-aged woman sitting in her seat. "Excuse me, this seat is mine. Please give up your seat."
The middle-aged woman glared at Su Jinyue and said, "You are so young, it won't hurt if you stand for a while."
"This has nothing to do with youth. This is my place. Please move aside," Su Jinyue said in a cold tone. If the other party was uncomfortable, they could discuss it with her, and she would consider it at her discretion. However, the other party's self-righteous attitude made her very uncomfortable.
"What if I don't allow you to? If you have the guts, pull me up." The middle-aged woman looked at Su Jinyue and curled her lips. She didn't believe that this little girl would dare to pull her up.
Su Jinyue took a step forward, and under the astonished gazes of the people around her, she grabbed the middle-aged woman by the collar and threw her into the aisle. She was picking on the wrong person.
The middle-aged woman sat on the ground for a long time before she came to her senses. She quickly got up from the ground, ran to Su Jinyue, pointed at her and cursed, "You black-hearted, lazy, uneducated girl, did you grow up eating stones? How can you be so hard-hearted? Don't you feel embarrassed to bully an old woman like me? What did your family teach you?"
Su Jinyue glanced at him coldly. If she had known she would encounter such a rare talent, she would have preferred to wait until night.
Seeing Su Jinyue's eyes as cold as iron, the middle-aged woman swallowed and subconsciously took two steps back. Seeing that everyone around was looking at her, she became bolder again, "You dead girl who was born by a mother but not taught by a father, I don't know whose belt was not tied properly and you fell out..." Her words stopped abruptly.
The middle-aged woman only felt a sharp pain in her throat, forcing her to open her mouth but unable to speak.
Su Jinyue coldly withdrew her gaze. She had only damaged the man's vocal cords, which was already a mercy. The man could be unreasonable, but he shouldn't have cursed her parents.
The middle-aged woman opened her mouth, looking anxious and trying to make a sound, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make a sound.
"What's wrong with her? Wasn't she cursing so enthusiastically just now?"
"This woman is so unreasonable. She takes someone else's seat and acts so confidently. But this girl is not someone who wants to suffer a loss. If she met an honest man, she would be standing right now."
"She probably caught some wind and choked."
"I think he swore too hard and lost his voice. There was a guy like that in our village who lost his voice after arguing with someone. He only recovered after seeing a doctor."
"It would be better if he was silenced. Such unreasonable people need to be taught a lesson." The people around were discussing.
