"I feel something warm," Pan Jing said in surprise. The warmth made her feel very comfortable, as if all the pores in her body had opened up.
"Aunt He, if you feel uncomfortable with your head down, just lie down on the table. The needles will stay in for another quarter of an hour," Su Jinyue said. She had already used her internal energy to repair Pan Jing's old injuries, and the needles were only left in to reassure her. Acupuncture for too short a time would instill distrust in the patient.
"Jinyue, you can take a look at me too. I've been experiencing a bitter taste in my mouth lately, and I feel nauseous when I eat." After witnessing Su Jinyue's acupuncture, Jiang Muqin gained confidence in her medical skills. She had chronic gastritis and had been treating it, but it wasn't getting better.
Su Jinyue smiled and nodded, "Aunt Jin, let me take your pulse."
"Yeah." Jiang Muqin quickly handed her hand to Su Jinyue.
Su Jinyue placed her hand on Jiang Muqin's wrist for a long time, then she let go and said, "It's chronic gastritis. I'll prescribe some medicine for you. Go back and take a course of treatment and you'll be fine."
"No wonder you were able to obtain your military medical qualification certificate," Jiang Muqin praised. She hadn't told Su Jinyue that she had chronic gastritis because she wanted to test her. She hadn't expected her to be able to tell what she had right away.
Su Jinyue smiled faintly and shook her head. She took out a pen and paper from her bag, wrote a prescription, and handed it to Jiang Muqin. "Auntie Jin, please go to the military hospital to get the medicine according to this prescription. There is also a kind of herb that the military hospital does not have. I will ask Yihan to bring it to you tomorrow. The method of taking it is the same as traditional Chinese medicine. Take it three times a day."
"Okay." Jiang Muqin happily took the prescription, folded it and put it in his pocket.
He put away the paper and pen and walked behind Pan Jing, "Aunt He, let me help you take out the needle."
"Okay." Pan Jing replied.
Su Jinyue raised her hand and gently twisted the end of the needle, then slowly took it out. "It's healed."
Pan Jing stood up and twisted her waist. "You know what, I feel a lot more relaxed now. Jin Yue, thank you!" No matter what happens in the future, this time it worked.
"You're welcome." Su Jinyue said with a smile.
"You don't have a place to eat today, right? Why don't you come to my house? I'm home alone today." Pan Jing said. The place is being renovated, there's nothing here, and it's not easy to cook.
Su Jinyue looked at Zhan Yihan, and Zhan Yihan raised his lips and said, "Aunt He, Jinyue and I have something to do, so we won't go today. Let's go another day." It always feels a bit bad to go to someone's house empty-handed.
"It's almost noon, there's no need to rush. We can do anything in the afternoon. Let's go to Aunt He's house for dinner." Pan Jing reached out and took Su Jinyue's arm, and walked outside.
Su Jinyue turned around and gave Zhan Yihan a helpless smile. This was truly a kind gesture that was hard to refuse!
Pan Jing's house is not far away, and it only takes five or six minutes to get there. Jiang Muqin's family lives next door to Pan Jing's house, and the two houses are separated by only a wall.
All the houses have small courtyards, but there is one more room in the house.
"Pan Jing, I'm going to go get some food and we'll have dinner at your house today," Jiang Muqin said to Pan Jing as she passed by her own home. She was usually alone at home; the older children were working, the younger ones were still in school, and her husband only came home at night.
"Why bring any more food? Just come to my house and eat." Pan Jing said with a smile. Their relationship was such that they wouldn't care about such things.
"Mrs. Wang bought some river shrimps this morning. I'll go get them." Jiang Muqin said as he walked towards his room.
Pan Jing smiled and shook her head, then walked home with Su Jinyue and Zhan Yihan.
Pan Jing's house looks very clean. The overall color is white, and the whole set of mahogany furniture gives people a grand feeling.
Hanging on the wall is Tang Bohu's painting, "The Sound of Pines on a Mountain Road." Layers of rocky cliffs, deep ravines, cascading waterfalls, and verdant pines on the mountainside, their twisted branches and old trunks, shade the picture. Beneath the mountain lies a tranquil lake, its bottom visible. A rugged, unpaved path winds down to the mountain stream, adding to the image's profound depth. A hermit leans on a railing, gazing out, listening to the pine wind, while a servant follows, carrying a zither. The brushwork is clear, meticulous, and full of charm.
Pan Jing asked Zhan Yihan and Su Jinyue to sit down on the sofa in the living room, then turned on the TV. She went to the cabinet nearby and took out apples and melon seeds, placing them in front of them. "Eat them. I'll go to the kitchen to get you some water."
"Aunt He, don't worry about it. We can do it ourselves." Zhan Yihan said.
"What are you busy with, Jinyue? Let me make you a cup of delicious food." Pan Jing said with a smile.
"Aunt He, no, I'm not thirsty." Su Jinyue took out a box of snacks from her bag and handed it to Pan Jing. "Aunt He, this is for you." These snacks were made by Yingli. She and her second brother had been busy renovating the store these past few days, and they would not come home until very late every day. She could only see them in the morning or evening.
"Keep it for yourself. I have some at home." Pan Jing declined with a smile.
Su Jinyue handed the snack to Pan Jing and said, "Aunt He, please keep it. This snack is made with herbs and is good for your health. Apart from the fragrance, you can't smell any herbs."
"Then I won't be polite with you." Pan Jing took the snack with a smile.
"What kind of snack is this? The packaging is so unique!" Jiang Muqin walked in and looked at the box in Pan Jing's hand with a smile.
"This is made by my second sister-in-law. Her Baiweiju will soon open in the capital. In addition to these dim sum, they will also have medicinal dishes. I'll take you to try them when it opens." Su Jinyue said with a smile. She had absolute confidence in Yingli's cooking. Once the shop opened, it would definitely be packed with customers.
