Chapter 557 Han Bing

"Are you so confident?" Qu Yingli raised her eyebrows.

Han Bing smiled and nodded, "Can you work for me now?"

"The store isn't open yet. It'll probably be open for another week," Qu Yingli said. She was very interested in Han Bing and wanted to know why her parents wanted to marry her off to an older man. Was it for the family's benefit, or was there some other reason?

"Another week?!" Han Bing shouted in disappointment. She had no money to stay in a guesthouse. Was she going to wander the streets for a week?

Looking at Qu Yingli and the other two, Han Bing hesitated slightly and said embarrassedly, "Do you have a place for me to stay?" She had to find a place to live first, and then slowly consider the next things. Anyway, she would not go back until her parents canceled the engagement.

Qu Yingli looked at Su Jinyue. Although she was now Jinyue's second sister-in-law, the house belonged to Jinyue. If she wanted to let someone live there, she still had to get her consent.

Su Jinyue smiled and nodded. She naturally wouldn't care about such things. The room was empty anyway.

"You can live in our house." Qu Yingli looked at Han Bing and said. She had experienced what it was like to be alone and helpless, so she could empathize with him.

"Thank you! Thank you, brothers and sisters! You are all such nice people. I will go back to get my luggage now." Han Bing ran out of the store happily and ran towards the guesthouse where she was staying.

Mr. Wei was playing chess with Mr. Mo when the phone on the table rang.

The guard walked forward, picked up the phone, said a few words to the person inside, and looked at Mr. Wei, "Old Chief! Your call."

Mr. Wei nodded slightly, put down the chess piece in his hand and said to Mr. Mo, "I'm going to answer the phone. You can't cheat and change the chess piece while I'm on the phone."

"I'm that kind of person!" Old Master Mo glared at Old Master Wei, then reached out and picked up the tea beside him and started drinking. This tea really tasted different! He had just asked Old Wei about it, and he said it was given to him by Su Jinyue.

When he saw Old Wei today, he was practically shocked. He'd only just seen him for a few days, and he looked like a completely different person. He'd suddenly looked a dozen years younger, his hair darker, and his spirits brightened. He'd asked Old Wei what was going on, but he'd just been joking around and refused to tell him the truth. He could guess, though, that it had something to do with Su Jinyue. Su Jinyue could create the Qinglian Pill, so it wasn't impossible for her to create a remedy that would rejuvenate people.

Mr. Wei picked up the phone and said, "Hello!"

"Uncle Wei! I'm Han Xiaping, sorry to bother you!" A middle-aged man's apologetic voice came from the other side.

"It's okay. What's wrong with you?" Old Master Wei asked with a smile. He and Han Xiaping's father were old comrades-in-arms. Back when they were on the Korean battlefield, Han Xiaping's father helped him block a bullet and saved his life.

In order to repay Lao Han for saving his life, he made an agreement with Lao Han that they would become husband and wife after they had grandchildren. At that time, neither he nor Lao Han had a daughter, otherwise he would have become an in-law with Lao Han.

As time went by, he gradually forgot about it. It was not until he heard that Zhan Yihan was engaged and that his fiancée grew up with him that he remembered the promise. He then sent people to Lao Han's hometown to find him, hoping to fulfill the original promise.

It was a pity that Old Han had passed away two years ago. However, he learned that Old Han's son had a daughter who was now eighteen years old, the same age as Yuan Xing. He told Han Xiaping about his agreement with Old Han. Han Xiaping agreed immediately, and the two of them verbally made an engagement.

"Uncle Wei, Bingbing ran away from home after she found out she was engaged to Yuanxing. I've been looking for her for half a month and haven't found any leads. Could you send someone to help me find her?" Han Xiaping said awkwardly. If he hadn't been completely helpless, he wouldn't have told Uncle Wei about this. He and his wife only had one daughter, Bingbing, and with her missing, they were practically going crazy.

"I understand. Send me Bingbing's photo and I'll send someone to look for her," said Old Man Wei. Han Bing was his future granddaughter-in-law, and he was naturally worried when she disappeared.

"Thank you, Uncle Wei!" Han Xiaping said gratefully. With Uncle Wei's connections, finding Bingbing shouldn't be too difficult. He just hoped Bingbing would come back soon.

"We're all family, no need to be so polite." Old Man Wei exchanged a few words with Han Xiaping before hanging up the phone. He wasn't angry about Han Bing's escape; after all, Yuan Xing was just a stranger to Han Bing.

When Han Bing and Yuan Xing meet in the future, if they truly dislike each other, he can only respect their wishes. He really wants to fulfill the promise he made with Old Han, but this is based on the happiness of the two younger generations. He hopes that the two younger generations can live their lives with their loved ones, rather than being forced to be together purely for the sake of the promise.

Seeing Mr. Wei coming back, Mr. Mo put down his teacup and said, "Mr. Wei, how much tea do you have left? Can you give me some?" The more you drink this tea, the more delicious it becomes.

"Don't even think about it. I only have a little." Old Master Wei snorted. If it weren't for his long-standing friendship with Lao Mo, he wouldn't have been willing to make this tea for him.

"Don't be so stingy! At worst, I can exchange a pound of Dahongpao for one or two ounces from you." Grandpa Mo said with a smile.

"No way!"

"Two pounds!"

“No!”

"Three pounds is better, right?"

"Four pounds, I'll think about it."

"make a deal!"

Han Bing carried her travel bag and excitedly came to Qu Yingli's shop, "Brother! Sister! I'm here!"

Qu Yingli and the other two were talking when they saw Han Bing walk in excitedly. They couldn't help but smile. This girl is really naive. Isn't she afraid that they will deceive her?

"Han Bing, aren't you afraid that we are scammers and will trick you into selling you?" he asked when he thought of Qu Yingli.

"Don't be afraid. I can see that my brothers and sisters are all good people. Besides, I'm so smart, it's not easy to deceive me." Han Bing smiled playfully.

Qu Yingli and the other two shook their heads and smiled.

"Jinyue, take Han Bing back first. We'll wait until we're done here before we go back," Qu Yingli said to Su Jinyue. They still had to lock the door after the workers finished, and her shop hadn't hired enough employees yet.

Su Jinyue nodded and looked at Han Bing, "Let's go."

"Okay, sister." Han Bing happily followed Su Jinyue. Now that she had a place to live and a job coming up, she had plenty of time to spend with her parents. She wouldn't go home until they agreed to break off the engagement.
