The night was dark and a light drizzle was falling from the sky.
Lin Junman and Chen Jingyu walked down a narrow, dark alley, holding an umbrella. She didn't want Chen Jingyu to see her off, as she walked this route every day, so it wouldn't be a problem. But Chen Jingyu insisted, and she couldn't refuse.
"We're just ahead, you can go back." Lin Junman said.
"I'd better walk you home. It's so dark and raining, I won't feel at ease until I see you go home," Chen Jingyu said with a smile. He really enjoyed walking with her in the rain. Although she didn't say much, he really liked her quiet and elegant temperament, which made him feel very comfortable.
Lin Junman stopped talking. It was only a few dozen meters away, so he could walk her if he wanted.
Lin Junxue stood outside Lin Junman's courtyard holding an umbrella. She had been waiting here for nearly an hour. After seeing Xu Tiansheng today, she couldn't bear it anymore. She had to come to Lin Junman to ask clearly whether she had been with Xu Tiansheng all these years.

If she hadn't taken the pill Xu Tiansheng gave her, she would be in the same situation as Lin Junxue now. If she had known the pill had such an effect, she wouldn't have taken it. Her youth was gone, so why would she try to get it back? Even if her face became younger, her heart was already old, and no amount of pills would help.
When Lin Junxue heard this, her face suddenly darkened, "What is your relationship with her?" Since the other party asked this, he must not be Lin Junman's son. Could it be that he is the wild man that Lin Junman is hooking up with?
"Friends," Chen Jingyu said. He really didn't like Lin Junxue's aggressive attitude.

"Isn't he your husband? Why should I care what he thinks?" Lin Junman sneered sarcastically. She and Xu Tiansheng had no relationship for a long time, and there would be no relationship in the future.
"Lin Junman, don't tell me you didn't go to the hospital last night to see Xu Tiansheng. He's been living in Beijing, and you've been together, right?" Lin Junxue demanded. She couldn't help but feel angry whenever she thought about it. She had thought Xu Tiansheng had eloped with her willingly, but as soon as she got into trouble, he turned around and went back to Lin Junman.

Lin Junxue gritted her teeth in anger and looked at Chen Jingyu, "Did you hear everything? The woman next to you is not an innocent girl. She is married. Don't be fooled by her appearance. She is just a bitch."
"Pa!" A crisp slap sounded.
Lin Junxue covered her bruised face and looked at Lin Junman, who was looking at her coldly, in disbelief. "You hit me? You dare to hit me? I'll fight you." With that, she rushed towards Lin Junman like a madman. She was worried about not finding a chance to tear Lin Junman's face apart, and since she had come to her door, how could she let this opportunity go?
Chen Jingyu stepped forward, blocking Lin Junman behind him. He reached out and pushed Lin Junxue, who had rushed forward, to the ground. He felt lucky that he had insisted on accompanying Lin Junman back today. Otherwise, she might not be a match for this crazy woman alone.
Lin Junxue slumped to the ground, her face pale with pain. "Everyone, come and see! This couple is beating me up! I'm about to be killed! Help!" She hadn't learned much else over the years, but she had mastered the art of fighting and throwing tantrums. After her husband died, the wives of his brothers often picked on her, trying to kick her and her son out of the house. Naturally, she wouldn't give in. If she could beat them, she'd fight, and if she couldn't, she'd just throw a tantrum.
As Lin Junxue shouted, many people who heard the noise came out of their homes.
Seeing Lin Junxue sitting on the ground, and Lin Junman and Chen Jingyu standing, everyone immediately understood what was going on.
"Young man, how could you treat your mother like this? No matter how bad she is, she gave birth to you and raised you. You can't forget your mother after you get married."
"That's right, help your mother up quickly. It's easy for her to catch a cold when she sits on the ground in the rain."
