"I told you it was great." Bai Lina raised her eyebrows with a smug look on her face.
Bai's mother nodded in agreement and said, "Please invite Su Jinyue to come to our house some other day."
"Well! What about my store?" Bai Lina asked happily. Mom wanted to see Jin Yue, she must have been curious about her.
"I have no objection. I'll ask someone to see if there is a suitable store tomorrow." Bai's mother looked at the packet of facial cleansing powder on the sink and said, "Do you have much facial cleansing powder? Give me one packet." She usually wears light makeup when attending banquets, and it is much easier to remove makeup with facial cleansing powder.
"Yes, I'll get it for you." Bai Lina smiled and walked outside. She said her mother would definitely like what Jin Yue made.
She took out a pack of cleansing powder and a bottle of perfume pills and handed them to Bai's mother. "Mom, don't forget about the store. I promised Jinyue that it would be okay."
"Got it!" Mother Bai took the facial cleansing powder and body fragrance pills with a smile, looked up at the clock on the wall, "Oh, it's already three o'clock, I have to get ready quickly." As she said that, she walked quickly towards the door.
When she reached the door, Bai's mother thought of something and turned around and said, "Nana, ask Su Jinyue if she has the anti-wrinkle product you mentioned?" Wrinkles are now her biggest enemy.
"Okay." Bai Lina agreed with a smile. Since her mother liked Jin Yue's products so much, the other aunts would surely like them too. Would she and Jin Yue's shop still have to worry about lack of business in the future?
The streets are bustling with people and cars.
Zhan Yihan held Su Jinyue's hand and came to Liulichang, a famous cultural street in the capital. This street originated in the Qing Dynasty. At that time, most of the candidates who came to Beijing to take the imperial examinations lived in this area. Therefore, there were many shops selling books, pens, ink, paper and inkstones here, forming a strong cultural atmosphere.
Su Jinyue chose to shop here because, besides bookstores, Liulichang was full of antique shops, and antiques were antiques. Since the reform and opening up, there weren't that many fake antiques, and most importantly, they were still cheap. She wanted to collect some and bring them back home, which would become a fortune in the future.
In her previous life, after she became rich, she also collected a lot of antiques. However, there were too many fake antiques in her previous life. If there were no professionals to judge them, she would not know how many times she had been cheated.
"Yihan, let's go to that store and take a look." Su Jinyue pointed to an antique shop called 'Ruichengzhai' and said.
"Yeah!" Zhan Yihan nodded with a smile.
Walking into Ruichengzhai, I saw that the shop was empty except for an old man reading a book. Although the living standard in Beijing was higher than in other cities, everyone was busy making money these days, so who would have the leisure to go shopping? Even if there were people who did, it was because they had some money at home and could afford food and clothing.
The store displays a lot of porcelain, calligraphy and paintings, as well as some ancient swords, jade and the like.
"Do you understand this?" Zhan Yihan asked softly in Su Jinyue's ear. He knew nothing about antiques, but as long as Jinyue liked it, it was fine.
"I know a little bit," Su Jinyue said with a sly smile. She had just asked Xiao Yao about this, and Xiao Yao said that as long as she opened her wisdom eyes, she could identify antiques.
Su Jinyue opened her wisdom eyes and scanned the store, her eyes widened in surprise. She found that many things had a layer of light color on the surface, mostly red, orange, yellow, and green, with cyan and blue also. Purple was the least, and only a rusty dagger had a faint purple light on it.
"Little demon, what's going on?" Su Jinyue asked in surprise.
"Master! Anything with color is an antique. However, the color will vary depending on the age of the antique. Red is modern, orange is from the late Qing Dynasty, yellow is from the mid-Qing Dynasty, and so on."
"So the purple one is the oldest?" Su Jinyue immediately understood what Xiao Yao meant. She had already decided to buy the rusty dagger.
"The purple one is not only very old, but it could also be a magical weapon, just like that rusty dagger. It may look insignificant, but once unsheathed, it could be a divine weapon that can cut through iron like mud."
Su Jinyue smiled knowingly, pulled Zhan Yihan to the rusty dagger, reached out and picked up the dagger, took a look, and found that although the surface of the knife was rusty, the blade was still very sharp.
"Yihan, take a look at this dagger." Su Jinyue handed the dagger to Zhan Yihan.
Zhan Yihan took the dagger, looked at it carefully, and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. The knife looked inconspicuous, but he could see that it was a good knife. With a little polishing, it would definitely be sharper than his dagger.
Su Jinyue saw the look in Zhan Yihan's eyes and knew that he liked it very much. She curled her lips into a smile and looked at the old man who was reading a book. "Boss, how much is this knife?"
The old man looked up and said, "One hundred."
"Can you make it cheaper?" Su Jinyue asked. A hundred yuan would cost more than a month's salary in the capital.
"We don't bargain for anything in this store. If you want to buy, buy it. If you don't want to buy, put it down." The old man said indifferently.
Su Jinyue smiled. This boss was quite unique. She took out ten ten-yuan bills and walked up to the old man and handed them to him, "Then I'll buy them." The short knife was shining with a faint purple light. For a hundred yuan, she was getting a huge bargain.
"Let's go look somewhere else." Su Jinyue walked over to Zhan Yihan, took his hand, and walked outside. She originally wanted to buy more antiques, but now she changed her mind and wanted to buy antiques with purple light.
Not long after Su Jinyue and Zhan Yihan left, a middle-aged man walked into Ruichengzhai. He walked to the place where the dagger was originally placed, but found that the knife was gone. He looked around but couldn't find it. "Boss, where is the dagger here?" He had come here before, but he didn't have enough money with him, so he went back to get it. Unexpectedly, it was gone when he came back.
"Sold it." The old man said calmly.
"Sold it? Sold it to whom?" the middle-aged man frowned. That was no ordinary knife; he had to get it back.
"A young couple." The boss answered and then focused his attention on the book in his hand.
The middle-aged man immediately turned around and walked out of the store. No matter how many times the price he had to pay, he was determined to buy the dagger back.
After leaving Ruichengzhai, Su Jinyue put the dagger into the storage bag and planned to study it slowly with Yihan when they returned.
After visiting several more stores, Su Jinyue didn't see any items with a purple glow. She couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, but she also understood how difficult it was to find things with a purple glow.
"Are you hungry? Why don't we go eat something first before going shopping?" Zhan Yihan looked at Su Jinyue and saw that her hair was a little messy, so he reached out to help her tidy it up.
"Yeah!" Su Jinyue nodded with a smile.
"I know a delicious dumpling restaurant. I'll take you there." Zhan Yihan took Su Jinyue's hand and walked forward.
"Please wait a moment!" A low voice came from behind.
