Chapter 413

Chapter 413

Time quickly came to May. Because of the preparation for the exams, the senior high school students did not have holidays on March 3rd and Labor Day and had to go back to school to study, so Su Miao spent these two holidays as if they had never happened.

Early May is a critical moment for senior high school students, as they are about to face the "obstacle" of the college entrance examination - the pre-examination.

The pre-examination system seems to have been implemented in 1981, mainly to solve the problems of too many candidates, excessive workload, and too scattered examination rooms.

The pre-selection method is that the district will issue the pre-selection number to the middle schools based on three to five times the planned number of students to be admitted that year, with reference to the current graduates and the admissions in previous years.

The middle schools will then select the best students to take the national college entrance examination based on the pre-examination results, combined with their regular grades and a comprehensive assessment of their moral, intellectual and physical qualities.

To put it simply, the district will hold a preliminary round of examinations and select the best ones to take the college entrance examination. By then, there will not be so many people taking the college entrance examination, and it will be easier to organize.

However, such a system has caused many college entrance examination students to be eliminated due to the imperfect rules of the pre-examination and lose the opportunity to take the college entrance examination.

They ended their college entrance examination journey early before they even reached the door.

This pre-examination is a phased policy and is not suitable for the long-term practical application of outstanding talents, so after this year, various provinces have gradually cancelled it.

Su Miao was not sure about the exact time of cancellation, but there was no preliminary selection when she took the college entrance examination in her previous life.

Maybe this year is the last year. She can imagine that after the cancellation of the preliminary exam, many classmates will sigh to the sky that they were born at the wrong time.

The pre-examination is a simulation of the college entrance examination, and the examination time and process are the same as the college entrance examination.

In order to make it more realistic, even if the exam is within the school, the school still issues admission tickets to everyone, and the exam precautions are explained in detail over and over again.

Even so, some people still lost their admission tickets on the day of the exam.

Fortunately, it was in my own school, and the head teacher just had to come over to recognize the person and get his signature.

The head teacher of Class 5 was so angry when he saw that the students failed to perform at the critical moment, but in order not to affect the students' mood for the exam, he did not say a word of blame and swallowed it.

Su Miao had already sat down, and the classmate over there came in with his head lowered and sat down diagonally behind her.

His homeroom teacher complained to the invigilator outside: "It's really a headache. I've told you 800 times but you still can't remember!"

Su Miao looked at his admission ticket on the table and felt puzzled. It was not a very small ticket, so why did people always lose it? It was really unbelievable.

The subsequent examination process was completely based on the college entrance examination.

Today is Sunday. Normally, freshmen and sophomores would have to attend classes half a day, but in order to give senior students a quiet space to prepare for the exam, they were given a day off today.

This exam, which concerns their fate, makes the candidates nervous, and the atmosphere in the examination room is a bit solemn.

But for Su Miao, this was not a big deal at all. It was no different from taking a test. He just had to answer the questions at his own pace.

The examination room was so quiet that one could even hear the rustling sound of pen tips rubbing against the examination paper. The leaves outside the window were gently swayed by the breeze, casting mottled and swaying light and shadows, but it failed to attract the attention of the examinees at all.

As time passed, the atmosphere in the examination room became more and more tense.

With half an hour left before the end of the exam, Su Miao put down his pen and began to carefully check the test paper from the beginning.

At this moment, she heard a gasp beside her and looked up.

I saw that the classmate next to me seemed to be still working hard on his composition. Maybe he felt that time was running out, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on his forehead.

He wrote furiously with trembling hands, and from time to time he looked up at the clock hanging above the blackboard.

Su Miao withdrew his gaze and continued to check his test paper.

After a while, the patrolling grade director came over and called the invigilator out to talk.

Suddenly, Su Miao felt as if something flew past the side of her head.

No way! Passing notes here? They really know how to seize the opportunity. Passing notes in the pre-exam room, are they also passing notes during the college entrance examination?

Su Miao shook his head helplessly, thinking that it would be better to just focus on writing the test paper instead of wasting time observing the teacher and looking for opportunities to cheat.

She was too lazy to pay attention to other people's little actions, nor did she think about writing a report. She just wanted to do well on her own exam.

Then, the second small paper ball seemed to miss its target and landed on the corner of her desk with a light "thump".

Then, an anxious whisper came from behind: "Throw it over here! Throw it over here for me!"

Su Miao didn't even raise his head, and lightly flicked the paper with his pen. The moment the teacher walked into the examination room, the paper ball fell to the ground.

The paper ball was so small that it did not attract the attention of the two invigilators.

The examiner looked at the clock and said aloud:

"There are still 10 minutes left before the exam is collected. Everyone, please check your name and admission ticket number. Don't let anything you forget ruin your exam."

After a while, the bell for collecting papers rang, and a boy walked forward with his test paper.

When he reached the small paper ball, he kicked it to the side with his foot and kicked it very skillfully under the chair of the candidate next to Su Miao.

"Hey! That boy! Sit back! Why are you standing up!" The invigilator immediately stopped him.

He stopped and said innocently, "Teacher, isn't it time to hand in the paper? I need to go to the bathroom, so I want to hand it in quickly.

The invigilator said sternly, "Are you in a hurry for a minute or two? Sit back down! The test papers must be passed forward one by one! Didn't your homeroom teacher emphasize this?"

The boy shrugged and said, "Okay then."

Su Miao, who had completely seen through his little trick, smiled secretly. It seemed that he was an old hand at cheating. He just wondered how many points he would have gotten without this answer.

When the test papers were collected, the teacher counted them and waved his hand, indicating that the candidates could leave.

At this time, the boy who had just said he wanted to go to the bathroom was no longer in a hurry.

He waited patiently until the classmate sitting in that seat left before he stood up and walked out. When he passed by there, he squatted down and pretended to tie his shoelaces, but in fact he was picking up the paper ball.

When Su Miao came back to take the exam in the afternoon, the boy called her at the corner.

"Hey! Classmate, please stay!"

Su Miao stopped and looked around. Seeing no one around, he asked uncertainly, "Are you calling me?"

"Yes, you and I are in the same examination room. Why didn't you pass me a note this morning?"

Su Miao crossed her arms over her chest and couldn't help but find what he said a little funny.

"Classmate, did I hear you correctly? Are you blaming me for not joining your cheating team? Do you feel honored or something?"
