Zhao Kang and Song Lu both looked embarrassed.
Just as they were about to leave, Wang Qian arrived and bumped right into them.
The scene was incredibly awkward.
It's like being caught red-handed after doing something wrong.
"Don't misunderstand, we're returning to Linjiang City simply because we have something to do, not what you're thinking."
Song Lu reacted quickly and hurriedly offered an explanation.
"May I ask what it is?" Wang Qian asked, feigning seriousness.
Zhao Kang and Song Lu exchanged a glance, and Zhao Kang said solemnly, "Xiao Lu received a summons from the court this morning."
"A court summons?"
Wang Qian glanced at Huang Bo and asked, "What's the specific reason?"
"Jiang Zhenghua sued her for taking photos of people's private information without their permission and for infringing on their portrait rights."
"Jiang Zhenghua?"
Wang Qian frowned. "Is this old man still not giving up?"
Huang Bo said thoughtfully, "It seems he has found an accomplice, and this accomplice is a lawyer."
"You're a fellow traveler!"
Wang Qian smiled and said, "Looks like you're in for a busy time this time."
"I?"
Huang Bo pointed to himself, then glanced at Song Lu and Zhao Kang subconsciously, and said dejectedly, "You don't mean to make me go back to Linjiang City, do you?"
"This is your battlefield. If you don't go, this matter can't be resolved."
Wang Qian pointed at Zhao Kang, "On the train to Nanming County, do you remember the case I told you about that I wanted you to take? That's his case."
"Is he Zhao Kang?"
Huang Bo walked over and looked Zhao Kang up and down. "You're the idiot who was framed by Jiang Zhenghua for eight years but was kept in the dark the whole time?"
"Idiot?"
Zhao Kang frowned.
Huang Bo immediately realized what was happening and hurriedly corrected himself, "Sorry, I've picked up some of my uncivilized habits from spending too much time with that scoundrel Wang Qian."
He then straightened his expression and got to the point, "Wang Qian said that you were framed by Jiang Zhenghua eight years ago and asked me to help you overturn the verdict, right?"
"You?"
Zhao Kang didn't speak, but Ning Lu's expression was rather unpleasant.
Zhao Kang had never met Huang Bo, but she had and knew that he was not a top lawyer at all, but a complete fraud.
Jiang Zhenghua's fate is the best proof of this.
Now Wang Qian is actually asking Huang Bo to help Zhao Kang overturn his case. Isn't that setting them up for failure?
"Who is this...?"
Because he didn't know who Huang Bo was, Zhao Kang even stretched out a hand.
Before Huang Bo could respond, Ning Lu pulled Zhao Kang back and said warily, "That's Huang Bo."
"this……"
Zhao Kang's expression also turned strange.
"You may have some misunderstandings about me!"
Seeing the meaning in their eyes, Huang Bo straightened his expression and said, "I did trick Jiang Zhenghua before, but that doesn't mean I'm a liar... no, a fraud."
Wang Qian chimed in, "He was my college classmate. He later went on to study law. He's a real lawyer, not a fraud."
After a pause, Wang Qian added, "Moreover, he framed Jiang Zhenghua only to help me. His legal expertise is definitely no less than that of Yao Xishui from the Linjiang City Law Firm."
"and……"
He reached out and patted Huang Bo on the shoulder, saying with a half-smile, "If he hadn't persuaded Yao Xishui to cooperate, Jiang Zhenghua wouldn't have fallen for it so easily."
"So, Huang Bo is really a lawyer?"
Wang Qian came forward to explain, and Song Lu's doubts finally subsided somewhat.
"Even if you don't trust Huang Bo, you should at least trust me, right?"
Wang Qian shrugged. "I asked him to help you overturn the case. I trust him."
"Well... okay!"
Since Wang Qian had already said all that, Zhao Kang no longer had any doubts and extended a hand to Huang Bo, saying, "Attorney Huang, then I'll have to trouble you!"
"Wang Qian's business is my business!"
Huang Bo reached out and shook hands with Zhao Kang. "Tell me the details of what happened to you so that I can prepare the necessary materials to overturn your case."
"The matter of overturning the verdict may have to be postponed."
Zhao Kang glanced at Song Lu beside him and said gravely, "Now that Jiang Zhenghua has sued her, we don't know how to deal with it."
"Don't worry, leave it to me!"
Huang Bo's face was full of confidence. "Jiang Zhenghua is just a cornered dog, biting people indiscriminately. He can't cause any trouble."
"You have a way to deal with this?" Zhao Kang and Song Lu were overjoyed.
"I knew he wouldn't let this go, so how could I not have a backup plan?"
At this point, Huang Bo turned to Wang Qian and said, "It seems I have to go back to Linjiang City with them. Do you want to come along?"
"I can't go for the time being."
Wang Qian shrugged helplessly. "You know, there are still many things waiting for me to handle. If you can manage, then go with them."
"You little brat, all you know how to do is use me as a pawn," Huang Bo said, somewhat annoyed.
"Who told you to be my friend?" Wang Qian laughed heartlessly. "Once you've made a friend of mine, you're destined to be my slave for life. So in your next life, keep your eyes open and run away as soon as you see me."
"Keep dreaming!"
Huang Bo was a little annoyed. He stretched out a large hand in front of Wang Qian and said, "I helped you deal with Jiang Zhenghua last time, and you still haven't paid me. Now you want me to be your free laborer? No way! Pay me first!"
"It's just money! I have plenty!"
Wang Qian was quite generous; he immediately took out a dollar from his bag and stuffed it into Huang Bo's hand, saying, "This is a reward for you; you don't need to return it."
