Chapter 66 Taking a Gamble



He paused for a moment, then added, "Even if I borrow money from you, I will pay you back in the future."

“But if you don’t ask your brother-in-law for the money you’re entitled to, he’ll just keep it all for himself, and you won’t get a penny.”

Are you really willing to be used and treated like a fool by your brother-in-law?

"Even if you're thinking of your brother-in-law's relationship, we're still brothers. Are you going to abandon me as your brother just for the sake of saving face?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Chao suddenly said, "I understand!"

"You understand?"

Lin Jingliang's eyes lit up. "So, you've agreed to ask your brother-in-law for money?"

"No!"

Lin Chao shook his head. "I finally understand who truly cares about me!"

"Lin Chao, what do you mean by that?"

Lin Jingliang immediately sensed something was wrong.

But Lin Chao didn't hold back at all, "You don't need to keep trying to persuade me. I may be a little slow, but I can still tell who's really good to me!"

"Lin Chao, what did you say?"

Lin Jingliang was both shocked and furious. "You actually said I was instigating you? Aren't you afraid of hurting the bond between us brothers?"

"If you really cared about the bond between brothers, you wouldn't go to such lengths to force me to make a choice, and you wouldn't keep encouraging me to harm my brother-in-law and sister!"

After a pause, Lin Chao added, "My brother-in-law is right. I'm an adult now, and I should have my own thoughts and make my own decisions."

After saying that, he turned and left.

"Hey, Lin Chao, stop right there!"

Lin Jingliang caught up with him in a few steps and roared, "Please get this straight, I'm your cousin, how could I possibly harm you? I'm just feeling that it's unfair to you."

Seeing that Lin Chao still ignored him, he compromised and said, "Okay, if that's really what you think, then I won't say anything. But could I do you a favor?"

"What?" Lin Chao asked, turning around.

Lin Jingliang's eyes darted around, and he rubbed his hands together, saying, "Your sister is my cousin, isn't that right?"

"What exactly are you trying to say?" Lin Chao asked impatiently.

"Since your brother-in-law is making so much money in business, why don't you introduce me to him? I'll work for him, and if I ever make money, I won't forget you, my brother. What do you think?"
