It was less than an hour before noon, and many things couldn't be explained clearly over the phone.
So, in a private room of a restaurant not far from the Lianwan Evening News building, Liang Liang and Li Zhizhou got together again.
"It's confirmed! The incident at your dance hall was indeed reported by someone. The person who reported it is very familiar with the situation at the Haiyun Dance Hall and knows exactly where the substandard parts and potential hazards are."
"Can you find out who reported it?"
Li Zhizhou shook his head: "They only told me that you were reported by someone, but they didn't tell me who specifically reported you."
Whistleblowers are protected, so they naturally won't tell you anything easily.
Now that it's confirmed that someone reported him, Liang Liang's analysis is reliable.
Aside from the people inside the Haiyun Dance Hall, no one else would be aware of the safety hazards there.
That narrows down the pool of potential whistleblowers to just the current employees of the Haiyun Dance Hall and those who have already left.
The employees at the Haiyun dance hall would never report something like this unless they were mentally unstable or undercover agents planted by someone else; it would essentially be throwing away their own livelihood.
No one would be foolish enough to make things difficult for themselves.
So now the target is those who left the Ocean Express cabaret.
The people who recently left the nightclub are easy to identify: Zheng Tuo and his wife, and the Black Island Band.
The Black Island Band moved into the Maritime Ballroom after the Sea Waves Band was taken away by Liang Liang, which took about ten days in total.
During those ten days, they slept during the day and worked at night. It was already a feat if they could figure out what each room in the maritime cabaret was for; it was impossible for them to keep in mind the potential dangers that they wouldn't even notice if they didn't look carefully.
Unless someone has special abilities in this area.
With this analysis, gangster bands are also ruled out.
That leaves Zheng Tuo and his wife as the only whistleblowers.
Of the two, Zheng Tuo's wife is the most suspicious.
"Where are the capable people you found for me?"
“I’ve found the person for you. I even chatted with him for a bit before coming here.”
"Did this person say anything?"
"What he meant was that some of the obvious hidden dangers of the Ocean Jet Club must be addressed, even if it's just covering them up with a piece of paper, otherwise it's impossible to reopen the venue."
Liang Liang has already solved this problem, or is about to solve it.
“I have already started working on resolving these hidden dangers. In one and a half to two days, all of these hidden dangers will be resolved. What I hope for now is that the Haiyun Dance Hall can start operating again, because every day of delay will reduce a lot of income, and there are still so many people here who need to be supported.”
"How much can your workers accomplish in a day?"
"All potential hazards will be resolved without any problem. The hazards in the dance hall, where there are the most people, will all be resolved today. The remaining potential hazards, such as those in the backstage storage room, will also be resolved tomorrow."
Li Zhizhou nodded: "Then I'll go see that person again this afternoon and try to get them to come back around 3 or 4 pm to lift the lockdown and start business again."
"I've prepared five thousand yuan as a favor, would you like me to give it to you first?"
"Five thousand yuan is too much. These people can't be dealt with in one go. You might receive their favors frequently in the future. If you give them this much money the first time, you can't give less than this amount in the future. It can only be more, not less. That would be a huge loss."
Li Zhizhou's words make a lot of sense.
"So, Brother Li, what do you mean?"
"Two thousand yuan will do, and I guarantee he'll be all smiles."
Liang Liang took out two thousand and gave it to Li Zhizhou.
"Brother! Just wait for the good news."
After paying the bill, Liang Liang and Li Zhizhou walked out of the restaurant, and Liang Liang watched Li Zhizhou leave.
Just as I was about to return to the dance hall, my pager went off.
Upon checking the phone number, I realized it was the card reader number from the entrance of the dance hall.
I found a phone with a magnetic card nearby.
"Xiao Liang! I'm here!"
Liang Liang recognized Wang Fan's voice on the phone.
Normally, Wang Fan should have returned to the Haiyun Dance Hall yesterday, but for some reason, he was delayed by another day and only came today!
"You finally decided to come back. I thought you were lost."
"Where are you? Come back quickly! There are two more people here who you would never expect looking for you!"
"Who could it be? I just can't believe it!"
I won't tell you! You'll find out when you get back.
That bastard Wang Fan actually hung up the phone.
Did this guy get taken to a ravine and gang-raped by a few old women when he got home?
That must be it. My head feels different than before; it's been stimulated!
Liang Liang rushed back to the dance hall.
The exterior of the dance hall was no different from when he left, but the changes became apparent once he stepped inside.
He saw Bi Sheng and his wife, along with a child, in the lobby from out of town.
And there's Qi Xiuxiu.
"Oh my god! Class leader! Sister Mu! And Sister Xiuxiu! The wind isn't even that strong today, how did you all get here?"
Mu Shuihua laughed: "So you mean we were blown here by the wind?"
"If it wasn't blown in by the wind, was it washed in by the water? Come sit in my office!"
Liang Liang led them to the office.
"Come here! Let me see your little baby!"
Liang Liang took the child from Mu Shuihua's arms and accidentally bumped into her son's restaurant.
Wow! It's so bouncy!
This wasn't Liang Liang trying to take advantage of Mu Shuihua; it was truly unintentional. The blame lies with that children's restaurant being a bit too grand.
The little guy had probably just finished eating at a restaurant; his two big, dark eyes were staring at Liang Liang, and he didn't seem scared at all.
"Not bad, not bad! She looks like Sister Shuihua. Luckily, she doesn't look like you, Master. If she did, she would have trouble finding a wife in the future."
Bi Sheng smiled wryly: "You're still the same as before when you start to insult people."
Liang Liang casually pulled out a 400-yuan banknote from his pocket and stuffed it into the child's hand.
The little guy grabbed the banknotes and stuffed them into his mouth.
"Damn it! Don't be as clueless as your father, okay? You can't eat this! Here, take it. This stuff is a bit too much for you."
Liang Liang returned the child to Mu Shuihua and took out a pack of cigarettes from the drawer, throwing it to Bi Sheng.
"Master! Sister Mu! Is this a family trip? But traveling with a four-month-old baby in the dead of winter, aren't you a bit careless?"
"What tourism? Your brother and I are here to find work. See if you need any help?"
"Looking for work? Starving? Impossible! The opera troupe has earned you a lot of money this summer, and you've spent it all in three or four months?"
"We haven't spent all the money, but we can't just sit at home and live off our savings, can we? We've been working outside all these years. We have a house, but we don't own any land. If we don't come out and find some work, we'll starve sooner or later!"
That's true! Although the opera troupe earned them tens of thousands of yuan a day, they couldn't live off their savings for more than a few years.
